I've just upgraded to OS 5 and according to the screen icons I have 2 unread email messages.This is not correct but I have an email account where I had messages on the device prior to update but now I can't delete them and I think the two problems are connected.The email seems to be working OK otherwise - just can't get rid of these old messages!
View 10 RepliesI hv got blackberry 8520 phone...i hv an issue with deleting the sms from the inbox..whenever i delete the sms...al d messages under tht thread gets deleted but it does not disappear from the inbox..n wen i try to open this "deleted" msg...it doesnt open neither it gets deleted although the msg content gets deleted...
also on few occassion der r multiple instances of the same msg thread...for eg..if i receive msg frm Mr. X
i vl get 2 notification for a single msg....n in d inbox der vl b 2 appearances of d same msg
My Gmail and Blackberry sync works perfectly except for one area. When I delete messages in Gmail through my web browser they do not delete through sync on the Blackberry. How can I fix this? It is extremely frustrating to clean 30 emails at my desk only to find them all still on my BB when I hit the road.

View 5 Replies View RelatedStarting yesterday, all my incoming emails will not let me delete them. Each time I delete the message it immediately shows up in my inbox again. I have a Gmail account and my Gmail Inbox on my PC is not mirroring this problem. Not only does it not stay deleted but it adds the message as if I've had a reply. For example: "Subject: June 5 Campout (8 items)" Well, the 8 items are not replies from others attending the campout, but rather, it is the same message in my inbox 8 times. Can someone please tell me how to stop this. tried to see if a setting has been changed, but am unable to determine if this has occurred. I am trying to see if somehow, the option, leave a copy of message on the server has been selected, but again, I do not think it has been changed. The only other possibility I can offer is I recently added my work email account to my personal Gmail account, but that had been working correctly for a week or two before this problem began. Could IMAP options/activation cause this to occur? I had looked into my Gmail settings yesterday before this began but I don't think I changed anything but it's possible.

for the past week i was unable to access my email services. I have done a handheld wipe as well on my phone also after that which result that my email icon etc is not showing anymore. When i run a diagnostic test everythingis fine except for the PIN-PIN.
Blackberry registratio:Yes
Connected to Blackberry: Yes
PIN-PIN: No
I phoned my service provider and according to them everything is in order on there system. They have tried to resend my email service books but i don't recieve it. Data service etc is working fine and my phone register on the blackberry network. Please assist as i am unable to setup my emails etc or connect to messenger etc....
I am wanting to know is there a way to delete multiple email messages or normal messages for that matter at one time.If i receive like 20 emails, do I really need to delete each one individually? As it's major painful. Even my old dilapidated cell phone could delete mutiple messages at once.

I have the BB Curve 9300 and each time it is rebooted, I end up with duplicate copies of the text messages I have in the saved messages folder. When I delete one of the duplicate copies, I end up with some messages that cannot be opened/read.

Deleting Pictures: Okay, so i am in my Media folder, in the pictures. I select a picture and press the BlackBerry button and select delete. Then it says it is read only, and when i delete it, the icon is still there. I've tried turning the device on and off and it's still there. Figured this one out myself. I hooked it up to the Desktop Manager, and suddenly all the pictures I had taken appeared. I was also able to delete them using the "BlackBerry key" then "delete". It didn't give me that read only option.
Saving Pictures: So, for whatever reason, i can't save anymore pictures. I don't even know how I saved the first 12 pictures i took.. but now it will not save anymore. What the heck happened? xD I have a 2GB card in my phone.. surely those 12 pictures didn't fill that card up... Figured this one out myself. I hooked it up to the Desktop Manager, and suddenly all the pictures I had taken appeared.
Buying Ringtones: On my old LG phone, i used to purchase ringtones from RealTone Jukebox.. where they had snippets of songs that I could download for a crazyhigh fee. Where can i purchase real music ringtones for the BlackBerry? Do i have to make them myself?
Moving Media to my PC?: I went through the Sprint Music Store that came with my device, and purchased two songs. I want to know if I can get these songs off of my BlackBerry device and to my PC. Also, if anyone knows what format they're in (if they've purchased from the Sprint music store before).
Purchasing another Memory Card: Where's the best place to purchase one of those mini memory cards? A friend of mine has like, a 24 gig one.. and i currently have a 2 gig (which, i should mention, is more fricken memory than i have in the computer i'm writing on right now xD) How will i know if the card is compatable with my device?
WTF @ Red Light?: Every so often (it may still be doing this, i'm not sure), the little red light at the top of my device will blink even if i don't have a low battery or any new messages. It first happened lastnight when a friend sent me 3 IMs at one time. I had to restart my device and i think it stopped. Earlier, it happened again (I had multiple new messages) and this time, every time my screen lit up, the indicator was solid red.. not blinking. It may still be like that now, but i'm not sure. My device is in the other room and i'm too lazy to check xD. Why is it doing this? How can I make it stop?
Turning the Camera Noise off?: My device makes the camera shutter noise, even when on silent. Is there a way to stop this?
Auto Keyboard Lock: I EPIC purse-dial people. I see there is a Keyboard Lock button in the BlackBerry Dashboard (is that the correct term for it?) But i want to make it to where the keyboard auto-locks after a certain amount of time. Is that possible? I saw somewhere about pressing the mute button will lock it... is that the button at the top/center of the device?
BlackBerry Key?: Okay, don't laugh, i know i'm retarded. But, the key to the left of the track pad.. what the heck is that called? It's got the BlackBerry logo on it... is it called the BlackBerry Key? I know, I know, i'm retarded and could probably flip through the manual to figure it out.. but still. I might as well ask now xD
Choosing Icons to display on the main screen: When I added an e-mail address, it put an icon on my main desktop, in the row of icons on the bottom of the screen. (where my background picture is and all that). Can we choose which icons we want to display on the main screen? I don't really need my calendar icon there, as I know i won't use it. I'd love to move the Keyboard Lock button there though.. is that possible?

I thought I had uninstalled all my unwanted apps (twitter, myspace and flickr) a couple of months ago but I just clicked 'show all' and they all appeared. I looked online before posting and saw many people being able to solve this through going into settings>advanced options>applications and then finding and deleting the app however these ones don't appear on the list - how do i delete them? When ever i click on them i just get 'hide/show' options.

I went into the calendar options on the device and told it to keep calendar appointments forever (learned the hard way from a previous Blackberry) and yet when it syncs the calendar it wants to delete appointments older than sixty days everytime I try to sync.
I've looked all over the boards here for options but so far I think I've done everything anyone suggests. I really hope this isn't just something I have to learn to live with or a price to pay for having a Blackberry.We don't use Enterprise Server yet, so my device syncs by plugging it directly into my computer at work.

Battery pull did not fix the issue.
I've had my Curve BB for over a month with little to no problems (it stopped 'pushing' to my custom email a couple weeks ago, but I researched and resent the service books, etc. and it worked fine after that). Now, however, it has dropped/removed my two custom email icons. Poof. Gone. One minute they were there, the next, gone. I've already checked to make sure they weren't hidden. They're not. I went into email setting again and it no longer even showed them as having been set up - one of them being my home email that is pushed to my BB and the second being my BB email itself.
I am having problems with the email on my blackberry - every time I reply to an email, I get sent the original email (which I am replying to) to my phone again. Does anyone know how to stop this?
