Feb 12, 2010can I have different ringers for different people and also a different ringer for my messages? I can not find out where to go to set it all up

Aug 3, 2010I have had my curve 8520 for about three weeks and whenever i get a picture message i try to retrieve it and i dont get it. it says receiving message for a while but then it just goes away, other times it will wont receive the message for a long time then after a few hours i get it. why does it do this? why cant i get the picture message right away?

Mar 30, 2010I hv got blackberry 8520 phone...i hv an issue with deleting the sms from the inbox..whenever i delete the sms...al d messages under tht thread gets deleted but it does not disappear from the inbox..n wen i try to open this "deleted" msg...it doesnt open neither it gets deleted although the msg content gets deleted...
also on few occassion der r multiple instances of the same msg thread...for eg..if i receive msg frm Mr. X
i vl get 2 notification for a single msg....n in d inbox der vl b 2 appearances of d same msg

Feb 24, 2010I have got a 8520 BlackBerry, completely new to these things! I have a little envolope with a number at the top of my screen, when i click on the star envolopes in the menu, there are no emails showing. I have set it up as I was told, but still can not recieve my emails. When I first used the Blackberry, I could recieve emails, I use hotmail and it says I have messages but I can't find them, or get to them.

Jun 6, 2010My Gmail and Blackberry sync works perfectly except for one area. When I delete messages in Gmail through my web browser they do not delete through sync on the Blackberry. How can I fix this? It is extremely frustrating to clean 30 emails at my desk only to find them all still on my BB when I hit the road.

Sep 19, 2010I've had my curve for a few months with no problems until tonight. I hadn't backed my phones info up for a couple of months so I thought I would do it earlier on today. I back everything up fine on my computer but the blackberry software crashed when it was trying to restore the info from my phone { I don't know why it was trying to restore everything cause I've never done that before.} so I tried to reinstall my backup onto my phone and it seemed to work. I switched my phone back on it was working, I tried to go onto facebook and I got "A connection cannot be established to the Facebook server." so I uninstalled the facebook app and waited for the phone to reset and reload. it took ages and about 3 battery removals to get the phone to load up to the password screen, and when it did get passed that, the phone wont let me click on my text message or email shortcut. I switched the phone off and saw a white screen with an error number of app err 523. My phone has been fine since I bought it until tonight.

Playing with it, I found that two of the included "smiley" images for SMS text messages are switched - the emoticon view does not match the graphic & "name" of the picture. Aug 5, 2010I'm new to blackberry. I purchased a Blackberry Curve 8520 yesterday and I am having some trouble with it.
Problem 1:
New messages wont show up, I have to go into general messages and select "View Folder" > "SMS Inbox"
I have it set to combined simply because I just want all my messages in the main message folder but whenever a new message comes in I have to go into the SMS inbox folder.
Problem 2:
I'm having the same trouble with my email, I keep getting the notification come up for a new email but it is no-where to be found.
Problem 3:
I've set my blackberry to the Vibrate profile, the only time it seems to vibrate is when I get a new facebook notification and thats it.

All I want to do is restore the ringer as currently it doesn't ring merely buzzes briefly. Currently at the foot of the dispay it says - Ringer off & there an icon of a speaker crossed out.

Sep 12, 2012i bought this bb curve 9320 on 15 Aug 2012 from mobile store, since then i'm facing this issue of ringer going off n device reboot all of a sudden, got this checked twice with redington service center, according to redington official software needs to be updated, but they are themselves are not sure whether it will solve my problem or not, infact they suggested to use the device on 2g mode only, have checked the version, it has a latest version installed i.e 7.1.0 bundle 1319. Request help. I'm very disappointed the way blackberry provide customer service and cud not believe that this is actually happening, 15 k price tag not worth for this kind of device

Feb 14, 2010Is there a way to turn off the ringer on the BB when using a Bluetooth headset and simply have the the BT headset notify you when you have a call? My old Motorola I870 would by default not ring and just let my BT alert me via the headset when an incoming call is being received. I don't want to use a quiet mode if at all possible? Because if in the event I should turn off my BT? I could miss calls if I forget to turn the Phone back to normal mode.

Aug 21, 2010I recently received a message telling me that an update was available for App World. I downloaded the update, installed it and rebooted. Now I am unable to download apps. When I hit the download button it takes me to the sign in for BlackBerry ID, then to terms and conditions and then to my ID settings! The only way I can get off this screen is to press Discard, which takes me back to where I started! I just keep going round in circles.
