I will turn on my phone and the homescreen has a meesage that says "Uncaught exception: index 10>=10" then quickly goes to another screen that reads "App error 523" Does anyone know how to get these messages off or at least tell me the problem. ive tried taking out the battery. it doesnt work.
View 4 RepliesI've had my curve for a few months with no problems until tonight. I hadn't backed my phones info up for a couple of months so I thought I would do it earlier on today. I back everything up fine on my computer but the blackberry software crashed when it was trying to restore the info from my phone { I don't know why it was trying to restore everything cause I've never done that before.} so I tried to reinstall my backup onto my phone and it seemed to work. I switched my phone back on it was working, I tried to go onto facebook and I got "A connection cannot be established to the Facebook server." so I uninstalled the facebook app and waited for the phone to reset and reload. it took ages and about 3 battery removals to get the phone to load up to the password screen, and when it did get passed that, the phone wont let me click on my text message or email shortcut. I switched the phone off and saw a white screen with an error number of app err 523. My phone has been fine since I bought it until tonight.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have had my curve 8520 for about three weeks and whenever i get a picture message i try to retrieve it and i dont get it. it says receiving message for a while but then it just goes away, other times it will wont receive the message for a long time then after a few hours i get it. why does it do this? why cant i get the picture message right away?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI hv got blackberry 8520 phone...i hv an issue with deleting the sms from the inbox..whenever i delete the sms...al d messages under tht thread gets deleted but it does not disappear from the inbox..n wen i try to open this "deleted" msg...it doesnt open neither it gets deleted although the msg content gets deleted...
also on few occassion der r multiple instances of the same msg thread...for eg..if i receive msg frm Mr. X

I have got a 8520 BlackBerry, completely new to these things! I have a little envolope with a number at the top of my screen, when i click on the star envolopes in the menu, there are no emails showing. I have set it up as I was told, but still can not recieve my emails. When I first used the Blackberry, I could recieve emails, I use hotmail and it says I have messages but I can't find them, or get to them.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI upgraded to 5.0 (i guess) and now i am experiencing problems with email. I can no longer reply to a message from my BB, reply comes up but after composing reply, there is no send option. Also, pre-update I was able to choose deleting from BB & computer, or just BB, now it is only deleting from BB. This I can deal with but I need to be able to reply to messages from my BB, afterall isn't that one of the reasons to have a BB??

xml is not well formed happens when i click on links from facebook mobile links to Internet videos, or any other external links. this used to work before, just started happening out of nowhere.also, caller id doesnt display names from contacts, just the number they are calling from1-10 calls will show the contact name.

How can I fix this? It is extremely frustrating to clean 30 emails at my desk only to find them all still on my BB when I hit the road.

Playing with it, I found that two of the included "smiley" images for SMS text messages are switched - the emoticon view does not match the graphic & "name" of the picture. Aforementioned error code continues to pop up even after reinstallation of BB Desktop Software and uprgrade to v.6.0.1. Anyone else experience this error? Otherwise, BB a very intuitive and elegant device.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got my Blackberry and I am having trouble with the Mass Storage.The Media Sync will not recognize the memory card at all. Win 7 does not recognize the card when I first plugged in my phone by USB cable the install driver fails. This failing has happened on 3 computer 2 win 7 and one XP.
I have done the normal things like battery pulls and deleting the driver and letting it reinstall reboots and reinstall programs. I also have the most current programs off the website.I also have tried putting the SD card in the slot on my laptop (3 different cards in an adapter) and none are able to transfer files without lagging into never never land.Everything else seems to work just fine. But I would like to be able to transfer photos and music and at this rate I can't transfer them at all.
when i try to place a call, the phone keeps jumping back and forth between the handset and the headset, but there is no headset attached to it, speaker phone does not work either, the little icon that shows the phone with two arrows or a headset keeps changing back and forth, it was working earlier today and then all of a sudden started doing this.

View 18 Replies View RelatedI'm new to blackberry. I purchased a Blackberry Curve 8520 yesterday and I am having some trouble with it.
Problem 1:
New messages wont show up, I have to go into general messages and select "View Folder" > "SMS Inbox"
I have it set to combined simply because I just want all my messages in the main message folder but whenever a new message comes in I have to go into the SMS inbox folder.
Problem 2:
I'm having the same trouble with my email, I keep getting the notification come up for a new email but it is no-where to be found.
Problem 3:
I've set my blackberry to the Vibrate profile, the only time it seems to vibrate is when I get a new facebook notification and thats it.
when i am on Internet i can no longer view media files?? not sure why , it was working before? not sure if i changed a setting or what? it says" an error has occurred attempting to play media.
