xml is not well formed happens when i click on links from facebook mobile links to Internet videos, or any other external links. this used to work before, just started happening out of nowhere.also, caller id doesnt display names from contacts, just the number they are calling from1-10 calls will show the contact name.

View 6 Replies View Relatedi have just bought a bb 8520, and i cant find where to block the phone sending my id [telephone number] to who i am calling.i have called my carrier because this is a service that they have to add to the plan, but they told me that the only way is to dial #31# before every phone number thats an option, but unreal, beacuse for the 99% of times you choose the phone number from the contact list [or you should modify every phone to have the #31# before the number]i had a nokia before, and this option is easy configured through the options tab does anybody knows where to configure this option?

1) When people send me long SMS i.e over 160 characters long i keep recieving them in separate SMS and it becomes very confusing.i have owned over 7 different phones in the past and this has never been a problem. Is there any way to solve this?
2) Quite often when someone calls me, i only seem to be able to see the callers number and not the Name, this is frustating as i have no idea who is ringing.
I will turn on my phone and the homescreen has a meesage that says "Uncaught exception: index 10>=10" then quickly goes to another screen that reads "App error 523" Does anyone know how to get these messages off or at least tell me the problem. ive tried taking out the battery. it doesnt work.

I can no longer reply to a message from my BB, reply comes up but after composing reply, there is no send option. Also, pre-update I was able to choose deleting from BB & computer, or just BB, now it is only deleting from BB. This I can deal with but I need to be able to reply to messages from my BB, afterall isn't that one of the reasons to have a BB??

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had my curve for a few months with no problems until tonight. I hadn't backed my phones info up for a couple of months so I thought I would do it earlier on today. I back everything up fine on my computer but the blackberry software crashed when it was trying to restore the info from my phone { I don't know why it was trying to restore everything cause I've never done that before.} so I tried to reinstall my backup onto my phone and it seemed to work. I switched my phone back on it was working, I tried to go onto facebook and I got "A connection cannot be established to the Facebook server." so I uninstalled the facebook app and waited for the phone to reset and reload. it took ages and about 3 battery removals to get the phone to load up to the password screen, and when it did get passed that, the phone wont let me click on my text message or email shortcut. I switched the phone off and saw a white screen with an error number of app err 523. My phone has been fine since I bought it until tonight.

Aforementioned error code continues to pop up even after reinstallation of BB Desktop Software and uprgrade to v.6.0.1. Anyone else experience this error? Otherwise, BB a very intuitive and elegant device.
Now a days whenever i restart device the above mentions message appears, i don't understand what is means. Recently i updated above mentioned official os from carrier site & also reinstall many bb & third party aps according to os change. but exactly don't understand where things went wrong.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got my Blackberry and I am having trouble with the Mass Storage.The Media Sync will not recognize the memory card at all. Win 7 does not recognize the card when I first plugged in my phone by USB cable the install driver fails. This failing has happened on 3 computer 2 win 7 and one XP.
I have done the normal things like battery pulls and deleting the driver and letting it reinstall reboots and reinstall programs. I also have the most current programs off the website.I also have tried putting the SD card in the slot on my laptop (3 different cards in an adapter) and none are able to transfer files without lagging into never never land.Everything else seems to work just fine. But I would like to be able to transfer photos and music and at this rate I can't transfer them at all.
when i try to place a call, the phone keeps jumping back and forth between the handset and the headset, but there is no headset attached to it, speaker phone does not work either, the little icon that shows the phone with two arrows or a headset keeps changing back and forth, it was working earlier today and then all of a sudden started doing this.

I have just bought an E66 and am having problems with getting the caller ID function to work.I have stored my contacts with the country code before the number. However, when people call me, it does not show them as a saved contact, it just shows the number.This is frustrating and is a continuation of a long list of problems with my E66. I would say that the E66 is not the best phone I have used from Nokia.Can anyone please offer some suggestions on how to make my saved contacts show up on screen when they are calling me?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Torch 9800 and on Saturday while uninstalling the true caller app that I thought was the reason for the slow response I was getting from my phone, it began restarting itself and eventually gave me a JVM 545 error - reset and it went off completely. It is has not responded to anything even charging. I have even tried the Blackberry Desktop Software and still no response.

I recently received a message telling me that an update was available for App World. I downloaded the update, installed it and rebooted. Now I am unable to download apps. When I hit the download button it takes me to the sign in for BlackBerry ID, then to terms and conditions and then to my ID settings! The only way I can get off this screen is to press Discard, which takes me back to where I started! I just keep going round in circles.
View 24 Replies View RelatedI have a Curve 8520 from TMobile (US).I also had a Pearl 8100 from Fido (Canada).I got the Curve unlocked and want to use it on the Fido network instead of the Pearl. I seem to have gotten everything working on the Curve, except for the email.I had the same email accounts (gmail, hotmail) set up on both phones, but for some reason now that I've switched over to the Curve on the Fido network, I can't send or receive email.I've checked all my settings, and they seem right.I can access the web, my Wi-Fi is set up, and I can send & receive texts. Anyone have any ideas about this email problem? Also, I can't remember my account username for the BB website to access my account online to change the email.When I ask to send my password, it says it has been sent to my BB, but of course I can't receive email, so I'm not getting it.

It has been stuck here all day! I called Fido earlier and asked them what to do and they told me to connect to my computer, I have done that and have tried everything and the problem still exists.
I have just upgraded to the BB 8520 Curve and I cant find predictive text anywhere?Surely it must be there somewhere !
View 8 Replies View RelatedGot a Curve 8520 and since updating yesterday, the frame rate when recording video has dropped significantly meaning jerky/jumpy video. It may be worth adding that even when in video camera mode but NOT recording the feed is still jumpy. I can see the difference by watching video I recorded before the update and also by comparing to my wifes phone (exactly the same as mine) which has not had the update yet.

We had all our contacts in our blackberrys when we left the store, I was even assigning ring tones to certain people already. I downloaded blackberry for facebook later that night and all my contacts were suddenly gone. I've tried to manually put in contacts, click save, and then no contact shows up. There are no filters checked in the contacts so I know it's not that. Any other ideas?
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a new curve (8530) and my carrier is Verizon. My curve was syncing with my Yahoo calendar in December without any issues. Since January it no longer syncs. My memo pad syncs, but not the calendar. I do not have Outlook on my computer, so Yahoo is my only choice of calendar. I spoke to Verizon tech support for 2 hours and we tried everything. I uninstalled and reinstalled Desktop manager, but that didn't help either.
