BB Curve :: Cannot Delete Email Messages
Apr 5, 2011For no reason at all my BB Curve will not allow me to delete prior messages..and all messages are starred??

Jan 16, 2012I am wanting to know is there a way to delete multiple email messages or normal messages for that matter at one time.If i receive like 20 emails, do I really need to delete each one individually? As it's major painful. Even my old dilapidated cell phone could delete mutiple messages at once.

Jul 4, 2010I've just upgraded to OS 5 and according to the screen icons I have 2 unread email messages.This is not correct but I have an email account where I had messages on the device prior to update but now I can't delete them and I think the two problems are connected.The email seems to be working OK otherwise - just can't get rid of these old messages!

Incoming messages sync correctly but messages I delete on the phone do not delete from the server. On the D1 the two-way sync worked correctly for emails deleted on the phone but I can't seem to get it to work on the D4.My settings for the corporate sync account are:Username: full @hotmail email addressPassword: passwordServer: m.hotmail.comUse secure connection: yesProxy: blankAnyone else having this problem? I'm trying to use the email app to connect to an IMAP4 server (which I run).When I delete a message on the E7, the email app appears to mark the message as deleted, and then it immediately does an expunge on the mailbox, so destroying all deleted messages in the mailbox. This is not the behaviour I want.The convention used on this mail server is that when the user asks to delete a message, the email app should move the message to a Trash folder, so preserving the message for a period of time. Thus, if one accidentally triggers two reload/refreshes in sequence (or has automatic mail downloads enabled) this causes the unread mails from (an) earlier refresh(es) to be silently deleted and to "disappear", before one has a chance to read them! I have 5 text messages that will not delete from my phone. I have tried:
a) delete
b) selecting them all and delete
c) going to the date and delete all prior
d) soft reboot with power off
e) hard reboot of removing battery with power on
I have deleted other messages before and after these, so it is just these 5 that will not go away!

Jul 18, 2011I have the BB Curve 9300 and each time it is rebooted, I end up with duplicate copies of the text messages I have in the saved messages folder. When I delete one of the duplicate copies, I end up with some messages that cannot be opened/read.

Apr 28, 2010I used a Storm for the last 30 days, and had 3 distinct and separate icons:
Messages - catchall for everything
Desktop email icon
2nd/personal email icon
However, I switched back to the Curve (8530) because of the keyboard, and now I don't have a primary desktop email icon. The only way to view work email is to use the messages icon where everything else goes as well. Is there any way to create or separate the two email accounts so I can view the work email separately?
