View 6 Replies View RelatedOn my 9000, and I thought on my Torch as well - until today - there was a subpage in mail options called message services which permitted you to select which email account settings to modify (for example BES or BIS). Then once I selected my BES account there was an option to "send email to handheld" or not. Something I turned off every evening and back on in the morning (don't want work emails bugging me all night).BUT, now I can't find where that option is on my Torch. Very strange. I've searched everywhere, I think. Any help would be great. At minimum, will someone who has multiple email accounts (BES) check their Torch to see if the setting I refer to is there? View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had my BB Torch 9800 since May 2011, and I had a media card (SD 2GB) in there since Day 1. Early November came around and my phone's media folder was completely empty and I was unable to view any of my pictures, music, etc from my external media card, but the internal built in media card still works just fine. I went into my local AT&T store just for kicks and giggles to see if they could do something (they couldn't). I consider myself an advanced Blackberry user, for I have had a Blackberry for a number of years. The torch is my 7th Blackberry and this is the first time I have had a problem with any of my phones. Not to diss the Torch or Blackberry, but this isn't their finest work. Back to the point, how can I get my phone to recognize my media device?

Is there any chance to get ANT protocol in X10. Last upgrade for mini, mini PRO and X8 is turning on ANT, but not in X10 which is greater/better model.

I click on the email setup link on the phone but it won`t do anything at all. I see from the pull down list of programs that there are a few internet items required but it won`t allow me to click on them and download. I have updated the software but nothing.What can I do? The phone connects to the Uconnect system flawlessly, but Uconnect does not support the text messaging feature because of the lack of Message Access Protocol on the iPhone. Is there a workaround so that I can take advantage of this hands-free feature on the Uconnect system? The people at Uconnect have been, unfortunately, less than useful.

I have an iPhone 4S with AT&T. I am going to France to visit relatives. I do not have an international plan with AT&T. I have been told that I will get roaming charges but that I will be able to use my iPhone in France. I do I use my iPhone in France? When I get off the plane and take it off airplane mode is there something I have to set in Settings? I have not found anything? Does it automatically recognize the European protocol? I see International Assist but I'm not sure that enables.

Remote SIM access is enabled from E7 bluetooth settings. It is very annoying to see just the number for incoming phone calls, nor can you browse address book and make phone calls with car's built-in system.

After doing a manual sync by pressing the refresh icon, I would get emails pushed to my phone fine. However, after some time emails stop getting pushed to my phone. The period of time when push seems to be working varies around a few hours. When it stops working I have to do a manual sync again in order to get push to work for another few hours.

I've been having trouble with my Storm 9530 over the past week. It's not been turning on; I've charged it and it's still just a black screen. Sometimes it turns on to the white charging screen with the little lightning bolt on it and ocassionally it charges up to where it fully turns on but after a while it says "Battery drained - turning handheld off" and it turns off. I had a guy come in yesterday with what I believe to be a bricked Tour...basically was stuck on the white screen that said it needed to be taken "for repair." After some quick research here I concluded it was probably due to the 5.0 problems people have been having and I had a new one shipped out to him next day under warranty.
The problem is he aparently has tons of contacts, and of course like many people didn't use DM to do backups. Is there any way that those contacts could be accessed? We do have the same machine a corp store uses but I'm thinking that's not going to pull them...I didn't know if there was a way to restore a earlier OS with DM and keep the contacts. I'm guessing no, but figured I'd check the best source!
So I was using VZ Navigator for a little road trip this weekend, and as I was using it I noticed my Tour getting very hot. I checked the temp and Meterberry said it was 114 degrees! So I turned off VZ Navigator but a few minutes later my phone restarted itself and now the only screen I can see is a white one saying: "Technical Issues Please Return to Place of Purchase for Repair". Took it to VZW and they told me I need to get one overnighted to me and there was nothing they could do. Oh and I tried Desktop Manager and it wont recognize my bb no matter what I did (even the version without media manager). So now I play the waiting game without my BB. Has anyone else run into this problem with their tour overheating?

On my old phone I had it set up to ask whether I wanted to delete email messages on just the handheld device or both. I like having the option. On this replacement device I can't find this optional setting. I'm even having a hard time accessing the various email options.
