My BB Bold 9000 has died. I have a micro SD card in it which I would like to download to save all my contact information. When I use a card reader I can see all the pictures that I have taken but nothing of the contact information. A year ago or so I did use the BB Desktop Software to backup what I had in the phone at that time. However I was unable to view the result (I had expected that I should be able to print out my contact list or at the very least view it on screen).

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a 16gb Micro SD card that Ive been using in a Storm 2 9550 for a lil while. Well ive sold the storm 2 and since then the card has been sitting there in a box. When I insert the 16gb Micro SD card into the Bold, It says a memory card has been inserted would you like to format it? So It then asks me if I would like to format either the device memory (Internal Memory) or the Media Card (External Memory) So I obviously pick Media Card, Then It says "Formatting Card, Please Wait...." My phone freezes up and does nothing, Ive left my phone at this screen for 30 minutes, Everything quits working. I have to pull the battery in order to make the phone functional again. Ive already tried wiping the Bold (Security Wipe) and I have also tried formatting the device memory. When I go into work today Im going to try and format the card with a co-workers Storm 9530 Running 5.0 Hopefully this should solve any problems. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Oh and Ive called up AT&T they said they will send me a replacement device so im waiting on that to come.

I have been using my BB Bold for a little over a month now with the Sprint supplied 2GB MicroSD card installed. My encryption has been set to "OFF." I just received at my door a new TopRam 8GB Class 6 MicroSD card that I would like to swap into my 9650 in place of the OE provided 2GB card. Please, what is the procedure for swapping the cards, while retaining all my data and settings as I currently have them on the phone/card, with the new 8GB card? Is there a way to do this reliably without the use of the BB Desktop Manager Software by simply copying files to my PC off the 2GB card, then copying onto the 8GB card? -or am I better off doing it by backing up to my PC with the Desktop Manager Software, then restoring from the pc to the phone through USB cable? In either case, please give me a step-by-step. I don't want to screw this up or have partially copied data, or other hangups PS: Maybe I missed it, but I searched (read about 20 threads) & didn't find the answer there or in FAQ's - Thought for sure this would be an FAQ. If I missed it, well...sorry - please enlighten me.
Did anyone have a **** of a time trying to get the micro sd card out of the slot like I did? The manual says there should be a lever mine doesnt have it!
I have a unlocked bold 9700 and when i insert a formatted micro sd card, it says "a media card is not presently inserted in the device". What can i do to fix this, is there even a fix for it?

I had about 200 pics which I had transfered from my PC to my memory card in my curve and all the pictures show in the picture libary. But when I put the same Micro SD card in my new Bold 9900, all the music is in there but no pictures in the library? Or anywhere. Funny thing is, when I connect my phone to my pc and click on the memery card icon in my computer, its showing all the picture files?

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy Lexar8GB MicroSd card worked for a long time. over the past month ive had it at its max capacity with 913 songs on it and a few hundered pictures. I unlocked my phone the other day and it said that i needed to format my sd card.. AGAIN. so i lost over 200 pictures that i wont get back and now i have no source to listen to music on the go. If anyone has any idea on how to fix this please tell me. ive tride taking the battery out and back in to reboot it but it does the same thing, and ive tried taking out the card and putting it back in... nothing. If im paying upwards of $600 on a smartphone that says it can do these things, i expect it to work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just recently bought a 16gb Micro SD memory card online, but it doesn't work. I put it into my phone and it says to format and I format and everything. After formatting is complete, I connect my phone to my computer so I can sync it with my itunes. The problem occurs as soon as it gets done syncing. After it's done syncing and I disconnect my from computer, the "format memory card" message comes up again. If I say no, none of the music comes to my phone. Then I go to option > memory and then it says memory card is not readable. It has to be formatted because it might be corrupted.If I select yes to format it, all the data that I just synced erases and I'm back to the beginning. This happens every single time I do it.
However, one thing I notice was when I stop the syncing halfway through, the memory card works. But if I let it sync all 600 songs (which is about 5-6 gb out of 16), the memory card fails.can anyone help me? Maybe someone had a problem like this and found a solution. Appreciate all the help I receive. BTW, I'm using the Bold 9700 for tmobile.
So I finally got my blackberry 9700 and I am in LOVE with it! I bought a 16GB memory card for it, insertet it and transfered a bunch of music. (it took hours).None of the music was transferred to my phone. Then I found out that my sd card wasn't formatted or something, and my phone won't read it. when I try to format it it fails..

But when it does, it seems to be at the 0:22 or 2:00 mark of the call. Quite strange. Once it happens, it continues every call afterward until i do a battery pull.
And since I updated to 5.0.0.681 a couple days ago, twice or three times it's said "Invalid SIM Card" and I have to reboot my phone. Not sure the reasoning behind this. I was using my Blackberry Desktop manager last night to move a video from my laptop to my BB Bold 9000.Now, in the move from my "computer" to a folder on my media card, it DELETED all the videos I had in that folder.I know there were there before I made the move as I saw them located on the bottom part of part of the manager. Then, they were gone.The reason I am in suck a worry about getting these back is they are very personal videos for me. (Of my daughters 1st words, steps, etc)I NEED to get these back.

Doesn't have any service at all. I was wondering if I took the SIM card out of the Nokia and put it in my Bold.. what would happen? I'm kind of paranoid about it maybe locking to Rogers the moment I put the SIM card in haha, I don't really know what would happen, I'm a newb to all this cell phone locking/unlocking SIM card stuff.

Have done this dozens of times, but this time when I re-inserted the media card I got a message saying "Media card inserted contains errors please use a disk error-checking utility on a computer."
