I have a Tmobile branded BB 8520 unlocked and i put a att sim card in it. I have a data plan with att. It only shows small edge on the top by the service bar 'edge' I want to make the bb messenger work on this phone.

When I use a card reader I can see all the pictures that I have taken but nothing of the contact information. A year ago or so I did use the BB Desktop Software to backup what I had in the phone at that time. View 14 Replies View RelatedI've been having issues with my calls failing for about a week or two now. It doesn't happen every phone call. But when it does, it seems to be at the 0:22 or 2:00 mark of the call. Quite strange. Once it happens, it continues every call afterward until i do a battery pull.
And since I updated to 5.0.0.681 a couple days ago, twice or three times it's said "Invalid SIM Card" and I have to reboot my phone. Not sure the reasoning behind this. I saw a couple threads in the Storm and Curve boards but, didn't see any solutions. So, thought I'd ask here to see if anyone else has had similar issues.
I was using my Blackberry Desktop manager last night to move a video from my laptop to my BB Bold 9000.Now, in the move from my "computer" to a folder on my media card, it DELETED all the videos I had in that folder.I know there were there before I made the move as I saw them located on the bottom part of part of the manager. Then, they were gone.The reason I am in suck a worry about getting these back is they are very personal videos for me. (Of my daughters 1st words, steps, etc)I NEED to get these back.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI have an OLD (more like ancient) Nokia on Rogers on a prepaid plan. I also have a fully unlocked Bold 9000. The Nokia obviously has a SIM card, the Bold doesn't. Doesn't have any service at all. I was wondering if I took the SIM card out of the Nokia and put it in my Bold.. what would happen? I'm kind of paranoid about it maybe locking to Rogers the moment I put the SIM card in haha, I don't really know what would happen, I'm a newb to all this cell phone locking/unlocking SIM card stuff.

Have done this dozens of times, but this time when I re-inserted the media card I got a message saying "Media card inserted contains errors please use a disk error-checking utility on a computer." My provider is O2, and I lost my SIM card and so I had to get a new one to replace it, and after it has been registered and everything sorted out from the provider's side, I found out I cant make any calls, send texts nor receive calls on my phone! View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently inserted a 16GB microSD card in my Bold 9000 and I observed that my BB starts draining its batteries quite fast. There aren't any applications running in the background, I make sure I exit them properly, and I rarely use Wifi or Bluetooth. I am totally lost as to why it is loosing power so fast.
Even after charging the BB to 100% after reboot and allowing it to stand, the battery still drains faster. If I do disable the media card support, everything remains fine and the BB has normal power drain. I don't even use it except for checking my mails.
I have an unactivated Blackberry 9650. I popped the tmobile sim card that was in my blackberry 9700 into the unactivated 9650 and forced it to 2g. I can call and sms but no data services.
I have two questions:
1. Do I have to tweak the settings?
2. Would this work if the blackberry 9650 was activated on the sprint now network?
I'm trying to unlock my Iphone 4 version 5.1.1, I have an OK from AT&T to unlock, the question is Can I use Tmobile unactivated sim card just to proceed with the unlocking procedure?

Why can't RIM develop a Bold 9xxx with the body of the Bold 9000 with larger memory, Trackpad, better camera? They've done it with the Tour and Curve. Plus they've got all the parts available already, just need a little engineering to fit the trackpad and everything else. C'mon RIM. We know you can do it. I'm sure you'd sell millions of them.

Quick question. I am starting a new Job and they are getting me a superbasic Perl. I need this for work and so I will be forking some dough out of my pocket to get one of the two following phones: Bold 9000 (I'll pay 100$ Canadian, not Us) Curve 8530 (pay 24.99$ Canadian). I am very used to the Iphone and HTC Touch Pro 2 (not trying to start a flaming/argument/anything else , its just what i'm used to). I am very used to browsing with the other phones and I have heard that BB phones are not up to par, so my expectations will be low. Out of the two phones however, does one perform better than the other (Curve 8530 vs Bold 9000)? Out of the two phones, which one do you recommend overall. I have read that the Bold 9000 even though it is older, it still outperforms the 8530...

The device still works, but two thirds of the LCD is now white and there's what looks like an inkblot on the left side of the screen. I'd like to try to fix it, but don't really want to shell out a lot of $ to do so --- I'm a month away from upgrading.Does anyone have any suggestions, or perhaps a dead BlackBerry with a working screen that you're willing to part with? A DIY repair -- this is out of warranty anyway -- looks straightforward, but I'm not sure I want to spend the $100 or so for a new OEM part to replace the LCD screen.
