I coudnt get my BIS working with tmobile although I got the right blackberry plan with tmobile, I modified my tcp/ip setting,etc as diriceted by tmobile tech support. And I still got no BIS service with my phone.
View 1 Repliesover the weekend i unlocked all of the vendor themes, so i have ATT's, Rogers, TIM, and some other native themes on my US T-Mobile branded phone. I brought up the ATT theme and put it on my phone. everything is "ATT" about the theme with the exception of the "t-mobile" as my network ID at the top of the phone.
and i started walking down a local mall when a "t-mobile" rep working at a kiosk stopped me and said hey what phone do you have, it's hidden in that big otter box...so i said i had a t-Mobile 9700.. .. .. and i pulled it out of the holster to show him... so he said " that "ATT" on the wall paper, and that theme isn't ours or 3rd party... ... ... thats ATT's theme" so i said "Yea it is, i like how the boxes don't fade away....". he looked at me like i was joking with him..then i showed him that i have Rogers/Orange/TIM and the others. Pretty classic look on his face when he saw an ATT theme on T-Mobile phone.
My internet service is not working @ all only BBM and facebook is work.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using Bold 9780 and just last week my lcd broke, after replacing the lcd am having this error due to which my phone accepts the sim but is'nt able to connect to the service provider, inturn after 'Searching Network' for a while it shows 'No Service'. On the other hand the wifi is'nt showing any routers nor the bluetooth even though i have kept it on 'Discoverable' . I did a complete wipe and installed 6.0.0.254 but still the problems not solved, and if i try to regitser the sim, A message pops which reads 'Supplementaty Service Error: General Error

Got a bit of an issue here which even my Carrier is stumped - they're currently suggesting replacing my handset which may resolve the issue but seems a bit extremem to me.Basically, the device was functioning fine up until yesterday when I received a Service Update which I duly carried out (read, delete text, reboot). After that, internet browsing ability ceased. Email however continues albeit much much slower.If I connect on wifi however, I am able to browse although images in aps like Facebook won't load - very strange.I spoke a couple of times with Tech. Support and we've tried resending Service Books, re-registering the Host Routing Table and full reboots. None of that worked.
My hunch is and given the inconsistent nature of of the issue is that the problem lies in the Service Books or HRT somewhere.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI had my Bold 9700 delivered from Saudi Arabia. I was absolutely in love with the phone with its incredible speed and my favorite thing about it was the 3G network. It worked absolutely great in Egypt. When I moved back to the US (Ive been here 3 days now), I can only use T-Mobiles EDGE network. If I search manually for networks, it finds AT&Ts 3G network, but I cant use it since Im T-Mobile and not AT&T. When I went to the T-Mobile store, they told me that since T-Mobile didnt sell me the phone, my phone wouldnt find their 3G network. Any idea what I can do to fix this? The phone is brand new, and its a shame that I cant use its best feature

Check to see if I have the service book for msn messenger and I do. The error for messenger is: "connection error 65: problem receiving data from the server." View 11 Replies View RelatedAlways maintained a very strong 3g signal, 5 bars always no matter where I was. The last 3 or 4 days my signal started dropping like crazy to EDGE - edge - to gps or whatever to no signal. Did everything to try and fix it. Called T-Mobile about the problem and they said no problem we are sending you a new 9700. I will have it Wednesday afternoon. I asked if it will be a new one or refurbished, she said a new one. You can't beat that with a stick. They have the best customer service out of all the carriers. Just wanted to tell my recent experience with my carrier.

It shows a red sos signal on the top right hand corner. My phone does pick up wifi signal but no mobile network signals, not even Edge. View 4 Replies View RelatedI just upgraded my wife's Verizon Tour to the Bold since she hated the trackball and wanted a trackpad instead. Several times while she's had the phone at work on her desk, plugged in and charging, it has shown SOS where the signal meter is and she lost all service. No phone calls, no email or messenger, etc. She went into manage connections and it showed T-Mobile as the wireless network one day, and AT&T another day, but this is a Verizon phone. How can that happen?
View 4 Replies View RelatedIt's only been 1 month & I'm already on my 2nd Blackberry 9700 with Tmobile. I'm running v5.0.0.330. Since day one, I've experienced severe dropped calls that I've never experienced with Tmobile. Severe to the point that I can be on a 30 minute conversation & the call will drop at least twice. I was once on an hour long conversation that kept getting interrupted by 5 dropped calls.
Add to that, there's another Tmobile user in my household who uses the Google phone & no dropped calls at all, which tells me that it's not my coverage area that's causing the dropped calls.I'm also getting dropped calls when I'm speaking to different callers using different carriers & not just those with a specific service provider.
So, I'm convinced that it's the BB 9700 problem. It may even be that this 3G phone is in conflict with the stystems or non-3G users. Nevertheless, I'm so fed up and wanted to know if this is a problem that other BB 9700 users are experiencing. If so, who's your carrier? Has anyone upgraded your OS and if so, has it fixed the issue or have you experienced problems after the upgrade?

When I switch the SIM card the handset ask for blackberry ID and password, on entering the details it says invalid Blackberry ID. Can I just use another BB handset and use the new SIM to route all my emails and BB messenger to the new handset.

My blackberry internet service is not working. I have a curve 8250 and I am on a vodafone contract and I do have blackberry plan in my contract so it should work but it keeps saying it is not connected. I connected toa wifi connection yesterday and when I disabled that connection, my BIS did not start up again, i tried a battery pop reboot which didn't help at all, I even ran a diagnostics test and the resutls said as follows:

Connected to blackberry:abort
blackberry pin-pin:abort
