i recently upgraded to the 9700 and since the day i got the phone i get alot of dropped calls full bars and full 3g but the calls will drop is anyone else dealing with this problem if so is there something with the device i can do im in ohio by the way
View 14 RepliesIt's only been 1 month & I'm already on my 2nd Blackberry 9700 with Tmobile. I'm running v5.0.0.330. Since day one, I've experienced severe dropped calls that I've never experienced with Tmobile. Severe to the point that I can be on a 30 minute conversation & the call will drop at least twice. I was once on an hour long conversation that kept getting interrupted by 5 dropped calls.
Add to that, there's another Tmobile user in my household who uses the Google phone & no dropped calls at all, which tells me that it's not my coverage area that's causing the dropped calls.I'm also getting dropped calls when I'm speaking to different callers using different carriers & not just those with a specific service provider.
So, I'm convinced that it's the BB 9700 problem. It may even be that this 3G phone is in conflict with the stystems or non-3G users. Nevertheless, I'm so fed up and wanted to know if this is a problem that other BB 9700 users are experiencing. If so, who's your carrier? Has anyone upgraded your OS and if so, has it fixed the issue or have you experienced problems after the upgrade?
Always maintained a very strong 3g signal, 5 bars always no matter where I was. The last 3 or 4 days my signal started dropping like crazy to EDGE - edge - to gps or whatever to no signal. Did everything to try and fix it. Called T-Mobile about the problem and they said no problem we are sending you a new 9700. I will have it Wednesday afternoon. I asked if it will be a new one or refurbished, she said a new one. You can't beat that with a stick. They have the best customer service out of all the carriers. Just wanted to tell my recent experience with my carrier.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm on Tmobile's network and since I've had this bold which I bought the 1st week it was released has been dropping almost 3-4 calls a day. I've talked to tmobile's reps over 10 times now and we have reloaded all my software and am ready to give up on BB. This is my first BB, switched from iphone and I had never dropped 1 call on that phone.
Tmobile is suggesting that I trade in my phone, but the problem is I'm sure they will send me a refurb which I definitely do not want since I paid full price $485 for a new phone.
Is anyone else having problems with dropped calls when switching from UMA to 3G? Where I work I do not have a signal in the building, so I keep my WIFI on so I can both make and receive phone calls while inside.
The problem occurs when I'm on the phone and step outside. I lose my connection with the router, and instead of switching from UMA to 3G, my call is dropped, and it takes my phone about 10 seconds to find the 3G signal.I was hopping that upgrading the .442 would solve the problem, but it has not
I got am iPhone 4 since Oct 14 2011 it was great but like a moth ago my phone star dropping calls almost every single call i made i know there is problems whit the antennas but these didt happened when i got my phone. my mom has the same phone and her phone is perfect no drop calls at all

View 4 Replies View RelatedI had my Bold 9700 delivered from Saudi Arabia. I was absolutely in love with the phone with its incredible speed and my favorite thing about it was the 3G network. It worked absolutely great in Egypt. When I moved back to the US (Ive been here 3 days now), I can only use T-Mobiles EDGE network. If I search manually for networks, it finds AT&Ts 3G network, but I cant use it since Im T-Mobile and not AT&T. When I went to the T-Mobile store, they told me that since T-Mobile didnt sell me the phone, my phone wouldnt find their 3G network. Any idea what I can do to fix this? The phone is brand new, and its a shame that I cant use its best feature

Check to see if I have the service book for msn messenger and I do. The error for messenger is: "connection error 65: problem receiving data from the server." It shows a red sos signal on the top right hand corner. My phone does pick up wifi signal but no mobile network signals, not even Edge. View 1 Replies View Relatedover the weekend i unlocked all of the vendor themes, so i have ATT's, Rogers, TIM, and some other native themes on my US T-Mobile branded phone. I brought up the ATT theme and put it on my phone. everything is "ATT" about the theme with the exception of the "t-mobile" as my network ID at the top of the phone.
and i started walking down a local mall when a "t-mobile" rep working at a kiosk stopped me and said hey what phone do you have, it's hidden in that big otter box...so i said i had a t-Mobile 9700.. .. .. and i pulled it out of the holster to show him... so he said " that "ATT" on the wall paper, and that theme isn't ours or 3rd party... ... ... thats ATT's theme" so i said "Yea it is, i like how the boxes don't fade away....". he looked at me like i was joking with him..then i showed him that i have Rogers/Orange/TIM and the others. Pretty classic look on his face when he saw an ATT theme on T-Mobile phone.
Since 5.1 I keep dropping calls on ac, says no data is available and I am in good 4g coverage.

View 1 Replies View Relatedmy BB 9700 will only make/recieve calls with a headset attached. When I remove the headset during a call or before, the phone starts flipping between Headset and phone. I can't make or answer any phone calls with just the phone. My speakers work fine with music or other apps. It's just making or answering a phone call that makes the phone switch between headset back & forth. Does anyone know how to fix this or possibly why it happened? Is anyone having this same problem?

I've gone through the profile settings and alerts menus, and they all have vibrate set to OFF under the Silent profile. Battery pull has no effect. Anything else I should try?

The one thing I installed today was a program called GPS Track (http://widgety.biz/GPStrack/) for collecting the GPS info and uploading it to TrailGuru.com. The problem started shortly after I used the program the first time, so I suspect it has something to do with it.I deleted the application, but that didn't help. I've tried a battery pull several times, I downgraded the OS from 5.0.0.463 to 5.0.0.296. Nothing seems to help. Right now I'm upgrading the software to 5.0.0.645, but I don't have great hope. Anyone have an idea?

I am having a lot of problems trying to get my blackberry to function properly. Yesterday, I was going for a walk and decided to plug in my headphones into my blackberry and listen to some music. It worked really well until I pulled the headphone jack out and now when I make a phone call, the phone switches from headset to handset over and over again. I have tried resetting it, pulling the battery, etc. but nothing has worked. How can I get this to work properly?
