Bold 9650 - Sprint
OS ver 5.0.0.699
I have been using my BB Bold for a little over a month now with the Sprint supplied 2GB MicroSD card installed. My encryption has been set to "OFF." I just received at my door a new TopRam 8GB Class 6 MicroSD card that I would like to swap into my 9650 in place of the OE provided 2GB card. Please, what is the procedure for swapping the cards, while retaining all my data and settings as I currently have them on the phone/card, with the new 8GB card? Is there a way to do this reliably without the use of the BB Desktop Manager Software by simply copying files to my PC off the 2GB card, then copying onto the 8GB card? -or am I better off doing it by backing up to my PC with the Desktop Manager Software, then restoring from the pc to the phone through USB cable? In either case, please give me a step-by-step. I don't want to screw this up or have partially copied data, or other hangups PS: Maybe I missed it, but I searched (read about 20 threads) & didn't find the answer there or in FAQ's - Thought for sure this would be an FAQ. If I missed it, well...sorry - please enlighten me.
Did anyone have a **** of a time trying to get the micro sd card out of the slot like I did? The manual says there should be a lever mine doesnt have it!
I have a motorola DEFY that came with a built in 2GB micro SD card.I now feel the need to upgrade memory to a 16GB card. While doing this How do I ensure the transfer all applications from android market (paid and free) to the new memory card?
When I upgraded my 9630 to my new bold 9650 I had a 16gb micro sd card in the 9630. I copied all of the files from my card to my computer, put the 16gb card in my 9650 and formatted the card. I then copied all of the files from my computer back to the sd card and put the card back in the 9650. All seems to be ok, I have my pictures etc. When I go to connect my BB 9650 to my computer I get a message on the BB that says: "Content rights do not match this device. Please insert the media card back to the right device." this only happens if I have the memory option set to "Auto enable mass storage mode storage set to NO" Any ideas? Thank You
I had an aditional memory card of 4Gb. But now, I bought a 8Gb memory, I know the card is good because I put it in another cell phone and the phone registered the card well. But when I put it in mine it does not register the sd card: it says that there is no adittional memory in tne phone. It once gave an error. But I put it again and it did not say anything. What can I do? why it does not take the card. It is a Mobile
I just switched from the Apple iphone to the droid incredible and finally to the Blackberry bold 9650. Ha ha I can say that as a business man this is the superior phone by far! But I was wondering if it will just have an update to make it 4G capable.. It really wouldn't surprise me if it did what the **** can't this thing do?
Just downloaded 5.0 software a few days ago. I now notice the "thinking clock" on the screen frequently when using some applications. I do not have a SD micro card at all. If I install one would current apps run better, or faster? I always thought that the SD cards were simply to store data,
I have a unlocked bold 9700 and when i insert a formatted micro sd card, it says "a media card is not presently inserted in the device". What can i do to fix this, is there even a fix for it?
I have a Bold 9900. A few weeks before I bought this phone a had a curve. I had a 32gb Micro SD memory card in. I had about 200 pics which I had transfered from my PC to my memory card in my curve and all the pictures show in the picture libary. But when I put the same Micro SD card in my new Bold 9900, all the music is in there but no pictures in the library? Or anywhere. Funny thing is, when I connect my phone to my pc and click on the memery card icon in my computer, its showing all the picture files?
My BB Bold 9000 has died. I have a micro SD card in it which I would like to download to save all my contact information. When I use a card reader I can see all the pictures that I have taken but nothing of the contact information. A year ago or so I did use the BB Desktop Software to backup what I had in the phone at that time. However I was unable to view the result (I had expected that I should be able to print out my contact list or at the very least view it on screen).
I just got a BB9900, and for some reason the device thinks the Micro Sd Card is not inserted, I have tried two different cards. My computer is reading the cards.
We've gone round and round about the release date, features, etc for months, but, with even more Verizon iphone rumors spreading, the real question is whether you are willing to waste your upgrade for this, or any rumored, Blackberry. For me personally, if I knew the iphone would hit Vz in the next 3 months, I'd continue holding off on any purchase to at least try an iphone on Vz. How about you?
My Lexar8GB MicroSd card worked for a long time. over the past month ive had it at its max capacity with 913 songs on it and a few hundered pictures. I unlocked my phone the other day and it said that i needed to format my sd card.. AGAIN. so i lost over 200 pictures that i wont get back and now i have no source to listen to music on the go. If anyone has any idea on how to fix this please tell me. ive tride taking the battery out and back in to reboot it but it does the same thing, and ive tried taking out the card and putting it back in... nothing. If im paying upwards of $600 on a smartphone that says it can do these things, i expect it to work.
I currently have a Tour and I'm considering upgrading my phone and my dad's 8330 to Bolds. With my NE2, buy one get one free and an early upgrade promotion they offered me, I can get both for only sales tax (about $45 each). I want to have a phone that can utilize OS6.0 (webkit) so if LTE weren't around the corner, this would be a complete no brainer.
I haven't heard much buzz about LTE Blackberries except for the possibility of the Storm 3. I'm not a touchscreen fan so I'd be waiting for a QWERTY Boldlike device.
Any thoughts? Should I wait or just pull the trigger now and get a great deal on a couple of Bolds. I can always upgrade my main line in 12 months but will the LTE BBerries even be available by then?
I just recently bought a 16gb Micro SD memory card online, but it doesn't work. I put it into my phone and it says to format and I format and everything. After formatting is complete, I connect my phone to my computer so I can sync it with my itunes. The problem occurs as soon as it gets done syncing. After it's done syncing and I disconnect my from computer, the "format memory card" message comes up again. If I say no, none of the music comes to my phone. Then I go to option > memory and then it says memory card is not readable. It has to be formatted because it might be corrupted. If I select yes to format it, all the data that I just synced erases and I'm back to the beginning. This happens every single time I do it.
However, one thing I notice was when I stop the syncing halfway through, the memory card works. But if I let it sync all 600 songs (which is about 5-6 gb out of 16), the memory card fails.can anyone help me? Maybe someone had a problem like this and found a solution. Appreciate all the help I receive. BTW, I'm using the Bold 9700 for tmobile.
So I finally got my blackberry 9700 and I am in LOVE with it! I bought a 16GB memory card for it, insertet it and transfered a bunch of music. (it took hours).None of the music was transferred to my phone. Then I found out that my sd card wasn't formatted or something, and my phone won't read it. when I try to format it it fails..
I've read with interest the threads about CDMA signal strength being affected by the position of the SIM card, etc. I'm in a rural area with no GSM coverage, and any international travel would be something I could prepare for by installing the card. Does it make sense to remove the SIM card completely, in the interest of signal strength, and store it in a safe place? I'm in an area where testing would be difficult (spotty signal to begin with).
I was wondering if its possible to save the ring tones that come with blackberry onto my SD card to free up the unnecessary space being used on my device..Do I need to wipe my device and reload my hybrid in order to do this, please give detailed steps on how to do this
Every time I reboot my 9650, I get an error message that there is a problem with my media card and do I want to fix it. I always say yes and it gets fixed.
I'm working in an area of Virginia in a few weeks (National Boy Scout Jamboree) and I was told that the Sprint coverage is "very spotty to none xistant".AT&T is a sponsor and is "saturating" the area with voice and data coverage. Can I just go to an AT&T store and buy one of those "one month" or "pay as you go" sim cards and throw it in my 9650??That seems to easy. Do I have to change any settings on my phone??? Will my email still get pushed to it? Anybody ever do this before?Yes, I know I'll get a new number but that's not an issue to me.
