When I connect to my car via bluetooth after the upgrade to 5.0.1 the phone automatically selects Sim Access Protocol mode and the car effectively takes control of the sim. Before the upgrade I could choose to connect in that way or not.

The phone connects to the Uconnect system flawlessly, but Uconnect does not support the text messaging feature because of the lack of Message Access Protocol on the iPhone. Is there a workaround so that I can take advantage of this hands-free feature on the Uconnect system? The people at Uconnect have been, unfortunately, less than useful.

Have you been able to synchronize address book with your car bluetooth system via rSAP? Volvo V50 built-in bluetooth works otherwise, but does not synchronize address book. Remote SIM access is enabled from E7 bluetooth settings. It is very annoying to see just the number for incoming phone calls, nor can you browse address book and make phone calls with car's built-in system.

I click on the email setup link on the phone but it won`t do anything at all. I see from the pull down list of programs that there are a few internet items required but it won`t allow me to click on them and download. I have updated the software but nothing.What can I do? After doing a manual sync by pressing the refresh icon, I would get emails pushed to my phone fine. However, after some time emails stop getting pushed to my phone. The period of time when push seems to be working varies around a few hours. When it stops working I have to do a manual sync again in order to get push to work for another few hours.

For a month or so now, it is difficult to start the main screen with the double tap so could be an issue with touch screen, although once turned on with power button, using touch screen is fine. It's just that initial double tap to turn screen on that is tough sometimes.
When I get screen on, can use speaker or not, and i can use dialpad to dial, say for instance to get to voicemail. However, once dialed, the screen goes blank and I'm not able to turn it on by double tapping, by using power button, etc. The only way to get back to using my phone is when the other side has hung up. Then I can start using power button again.
I don't hold phone near proximity sensor, I don't think it's dirty, I don't use a case. I will put the phone down on the table flat and it will stay on. I then move my hand over it starting at bottom and when it gets a little ways from the top, it goes blank. When I remove my hand, with nothing in the way, it stays that way and I can't do anything.
I'd like not to try the next step which is factory reset and backup, as I have not done that before and really don't want to reinstall everything.
My Bold has been auto-resetting as soon as I pop the battery in. As soon as I pop the battery in, the white progress bar appears, loads about 1/8 of the way, then auto reboots. This repeats constantly. I don't foresee a way of resolving this without hard setting the device. Unfortunately, I am unable to access any options as the device does not turn on. Is there a physical hard reset button on the device?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI was experiencing slowdowns on applicationss accessing the SD card for storage and caching. Among them are browsers like Dolphin, applications like Twidroyd, and news applications like Huffington Post. It helped with some of the applications by setting their storage options to internal memory, but the best solution so far, without rooting your phone and adding some MODACO mod, is to go to Settings, go to Managing Applications, go to Running Services, look for something that mentions DRM, then kill it.
Killing this does not harm the system, as I tested this already, and it speeds up access to applications that cache on the internal SD card. Of course, another way is to disable all SD access, and everything flies. But I find killing DRM services works well. DRM services is not part of the standard Android set, since I don't find this on the HTC phones, so killing it won't harm anything. Killing off Samsung's own slow ware such as Daily Briefings and the social Feeds widget may also help speed up the UI further, but on the other hand, these widgets can also be useful for some people.
Using the blackberry desktop software, I just updated to:6.0 Bundle 3049 v6.0.0.706 and Platform 6.6.0.246 Once completed, I can not get my email on my account to work. I try to go into Setup but it's saying that it can't open the email setup application and to contact my wireless provider. At the moment I can only use the Wi-Fi connection and don't have access to a mobile signal.I can access the internet, twitter, and facebook, but can not get or send messages through my email account setup on the phone.

When I tried to go to root enabled setting from settings menu of the app. the app said root access disabled and I was never able to get root access. Yesterday I updated to ICS from PC Companion and my app. was already there on my memory card. When I opened the app I was able to go to root folder and the app. haven't said that the root access is disabled. I disabled root enabled setting from settings menu of the app. but I am worrying about wheather any other app. that I install can change my root (default) files.
