I used software update to try and update my phone but it's stopped at 11% at social feeds which won't budge. I have tried a battery pull several times with no prevail, I can't connect it to my newly updated Desktop Software at all no matter how many times I have tried, and I cannot access my mobile whatsoever!
View 9 RepliesI currently have the curve 8520.I was using my fully functional bb which is 100% in good condition and suddenly the trackpad stopped working. i could only use the blackberry button, the back button, the call and hang up buttons and the keyboard.Assuming it was just in need of a reboot, i rebooted it and suddenly none of my buttons worked (every single button including the keyboard and buttons above)suddenly, now my mobile network has been turned off and theres no way of turning it on because nothing works!

What should I do? The system warns "do not disconnect your device or stop this process as it could make your device unusable"
Later: I solved this problem by disconnecting the phone from the PC and downloading the OS6 package from the Blackberry.com/Downloads site, re-installing the Blackberry Deskop Sofware and re-starting the update process, this time with all power saving on the PC turned off.
My son has a blackberry curve 9360 and was doing an update. The phone was trying to restart to complete the process and has got stuck. It keeps trying to restart over and over again. We don't even get to the menu. We have tried removing the battery and tried to restart by pressing the alt, aA(arrow) and del button together but it doesn't work.

I attempted to do an ios update tonight...I think it was from 5.0 to 5.01 (not sure). It went through the downloading process and I believe it was at the point of restarting/installing, not quite sure, I wasn't totally paying attention. But then I got a message from iTunes saying that an unknown error occurred and the update could not be completed. Now my phone appears to be completely screwed.
I'm left with a screen on my phone that has the iTunes logo at the top and below is an image of the iPhone USB connector. I can't get away from the screen...turn off/on, hard reset, etc all takes me back to that same screen. What's worse, my iTunes is no longer showing my phone as an option. It's like my phone is no longer recognized at all. I've unplugged and plugged it back in several times. I've restarted iTunes, restarted my computer, etc.

So about 20 minutes ago I connected my iPhone to my computer and iTunes prompted me to update it. I accepted, but as it was applying the updates some type of error popped up. Long story short, it failed to update and now when I turn on my phone it's frozen with the screen showing the USB cord & iTunes icons. I've tried: -Shutting it down by holding the sleep/power button-Shutting it down by holding the Home + sleep/power button-All of my USB ports on my computer-Reinstalling iTunes As soon as I turn it on, it briefly shows the Apple icon then it goes back to the same screen with the iTunes/USB icons. When I connect it to my computer it makes the connection sound but it won't register on iTunes.

I have just updated my Blackberry Curve 8520 to version 5.0. It required me to reboot the blackberry so I did and now that it has loaded up I get a message saying 'To start using your Blackberry (R) smartphone, you will need to confirm the languages that you use.' and a highlighted button saying 'Continue'. Thing is, I can't press any buttons or scroll through writing or anything. No buttons, though I can use 'alt' and 'caps. There doesn't seem to be a signal either. I take the battery out and put it back in but when the Blackberry loads up again the same screen comes up. I know it has updated because the loading screen is different.

I left the phone alone and it carried on and did everything just as usual but after it had completed the screen now appears to be unresponsive.
I cannot swipe the bar down at the bottom and hence my phone is locked all the time. The only way to restart is to pull the battery out but even after doing that several times and also removing the sim card and mem card I still have the same problem each and everytime
I have an iPhone 5s 16GB that has been installing the new iOS 8 update (8.1.2 I believe?). After being prompted to install the update, I agreed to the terms & conditions and hit "install." After seemingly flying through the first 9/10ths of the update, the progress bar under the Apple logo has not moved for a solid few hours now. I have not had this problem with previous updates. Is there any action that I should/can take without wiping everything from the phone?

I just got a new Nokia 5230 and I was going through the Ovi Suite to backup stuff (worked well) and then went to the software update part (since I found that there was a newer software version available compared to the one that came with the phone).While updating (through the Ovi Suite software update part, not through the NSU), there was an error and the update failed (I think) and the phone froze. Since I didn't know it's better to wait for a while before doing anything, I immediately took off the USB cable and went through the hard reset part, remove the battery and put it back on, etc.Nothing worked and the phone doesn't turn on at all.Is there anything I can do? I saw some posts on the web about using external software's / applications to flash the phone, etc. But I don't want to get into those things before trying out the proven ones - meaning, dropping a word here, and going to the Nokia Care point. I cannot go there till Monday, so I was wondering if there was anything I could do to try and bring back the phone to life?

Now it's almost 4pm and I've spent 3 and a half hours waiting for progress, scared to "disconnect the device or interrupt the process" for fear of my phone becoming "unstable" as the update window stated.I have included an image to prove the time frame (backed up device at 11:50, still waiting at 3:40.)There has been no change since the reboot stage began, about 20 minutes into the update, which was surprisingly quick.My phone has restored to factory settings, and I'm scared to do anymore than look at it?
