If my handset is the cause of dropped calls, wouldnt it be safe to assume that it should be dropping calls everywhere and not in just one area? If it's one area then it would be a Sprint issue and not Apple issue, correct?

Recently I have been getting a problem with my 9700 Blackberry. When I make or receive calls, I can not hear anything out of my handset. The person on the other line can hear fine (Usually with me going Hello Hello a million times!) The only time I can hear anything is when I have my bluetooth on or switching it to speakerphone.
I tried doing the soft reset (battery pull when the phone was still on) ...still nothing. Although it did work a couple of times. Its on and off, but recently the situation has gone from bad to worse.Anyone out there with the 9700 with the same issue? It's really annoying and I do use the phone a lot for important calls.
I love my FlipOut, really, but I borrowed a Samsung ACE (android) from my daughter for the week-end, and I must say that it is by far superior as a phone.No dropped calls, no "emercency calls only", no unsent text messages, no buffer overrun while streaming radio from the net.It seem that the size matters, when reception is poor.

This afternoon my phone started to drop calls ("call failed") and then this evening I stopped being able to call out. I can receive incoming calls but they would cut in and out, but they can hear me just fine.

my IPhone 4S has been having many problems and issues. The wifi has been very weak and often drops out. Then the phone would freeze after trying to take one picture and I would do a reset and it would act fine for a day or two and then would freeze again. Recently the calls I make on it often fail and when they do go through it is awful cell reception where I can barely hear the other person and they cannot hear me and then the calls often drop out in the middle. I don't know what to do I have reset the phone multiple times. I have a Lifeproof case around it and it looks brand new and no wear or tear. Would it be worth waiting for the new IPhone or should I buy an older IPhone 5.

Her voicemail notifications wasn't coming up. She had to call her voicemail periodically to see if she had any voicemails.
She has 3.1.2 installed. The phone is also jailbroken. We both have AT&T. She called AT&T and and they did some troubleshooting and they fixed her voicemail, then said that they think that she needs a new SIM.
According to Sprint, suddenly my handset is the cause of my dropped calls.

i noticed when i make a call i can't talk for more than 15 seconds either the other person can hear me and i can or the call gets dropped it happens constantly but after like 20 calls i can talk for hours with one line then if i make a call again then it starts doing it again , i can't tell when it happens but it happens 90% of the time and I also tried repairing the phone with pc companion and also upgrading the software still didn't make a difference. i also tried taking the battery out and sim out and put it back in. it still didn't work. i also tried cleaning the phone's cache

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have owned my Atrix for about 3 weeks and it constantly switches back and forth from 3G to EDGE, rinse and repeat. It does this about 30-40 times per day. I have a very strong 3G signal in my area and I notice that my Atrix does this MORE OFTEN than my iPhone 4.Also, I am dropping a lot of calls on the Atrix compared to the iPhone 4, which I was really surprised to see this happening. I do have all of the latest software updates installed on the Atrix.One more thing, I noticed that on AT&T you can't install from "Unknown" sources, hence I would like to take advantage of the daily specials on the Amazon android store and I am unable to do so without the option on the phone.

1. If I take no action, meaning I continue with call 1, both calls are dropped.
2. If I attempt to switch to the other call, both calls are dropped.
3. The incoming (2nd call) is dropped, but I cannot hear the 1st caller.
4. If I attempt to reply to the 2nd caller with a text while continuing the 1st call, the call is dropped.
I have a BB9700 smartphone i bought in bangkok. Now I'm using it in Australia. The calls incoming from Private Numbers (the nos that are not listed) are getting cut off. It gets disconnected automatically after the 1st ring. I have not used call barring.

This can happen when you first answer the phone or while you're in the middle of a call. I already got a device replacement and it's still doing the same thing. View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Turbo worked great up until 5.1. At my house, my signal is ~ -110 dBm which is about the same on my AT&T network H815 LG G4. Ill drop about one call every 24-48 hours. I went through hours of troubleshooting with customer service and tech support. I even was shipped a replacement device.
So, eventually a trouble ticket was issued to their engineering department and there answer was High Def voice, when activated in a "weak spot" (-110 dBm is enough to make a call) that it would disconnect the phone. My AT&T G4 never dropped a call at my home.
I just got the S6 Edge for my wife wednesday night. Today she is informing me that she is having multiple dropped calls with the phone. IWe are on Sprint and have never had dropped call issues before.

Everything was fine at first but recently i would say within the past month i've been dropping calls and having problems with the data services. I'll be streaming slacker radio and all of a sudden it stops and i have to reboot to get it working again. The dropped calls thing is pretty much random. Im running 5.0.0.405.
Anyone else having this problem? I mean the whole surfing while talking thing is nice but if this keeps up im going to have to just bite the bullet pay the early term fee and switch back!
I am experiencing an inconsistent, but elatively frequent issue with my RAZR. I'm on a call, a second call comes in. Sometimes, I ignore the call and my original call gets dropped. Other times, I switch over to pick up the second call and both calls get dropped. Sometimes, it works is it should and I can go back and forth between calls as expected. This has happened in multiple locations, so I do not believe it is tower specific. I never experienced this issue with the original Moto Droid I owned prior to the RAZR.

I've had trackball issues with the phone since Day 1, but they weren't so miserable that I couldn't live with it, so I kept the phone. The phone has been pretty great: beautiful screen, fast, etc. etc.For the past month, I've had issue with:
1. Signal - Drops ALL THE TIME now
2. Dropped calls - Often
3. Browser "can't render page" messages when trying to surf the web
4. Hourglass of death
5. White screen
6. Screen freeze
7. Delayed delivery of push email
8. Trackball goes left, when I try to push it right, and vice versa (I even cleaned it)
I called Sprint and after much back/forth, they suggested I get the trackball replaced. I reminded them that won't solve all the other problems, so now they'll send me a replacement ("refurbished") phone instead.Does my phone need replacing or is there something else I can do to fix the above problems?And please don't say "hard reset" - not only has it already been done, but what phone requires so many hard resets in less than a year?
I recently upgraded to the 9700 with Tmo in December. Coming from an 8900 I thought it would truly be an "upgrade". Since getting the 9700 i have had more dropped calls, call fail, can not access server etc. The phone will even go into a soft reset mid call, text or email for no reason. I called tmo and the replaced the phone and sim card. it worked well for about a day or two and BAM same crap. I am not so sure its the phone anymore. Some people i talk to say it is TMO service but i have never had this problem before and have been with tmo for 3 yrs.any suggestions /advice?

If i place or receive a call within a few minutes it drops with no record of the call. The internet is the same i will have 4g service and then it will crawl. I have to keep the phone still to maintain the signal. if i even move my hand the signal is gone.I know it is not sprint cause my wife has a diffent phone and it works perfectly she is chatting away on it all day never had a signal issue. went the spint salesman and he didnt understand why it was doing that. When I try to send an SMS a little red clock appears next to the message and then after a few minutes it says 'Retries Exceeded'. Whenever I place a call it immediately turns up 'Call Failed'.Then I realised I wasn't receiving texts/calls either.All my bills are up to date, Orange have checked twice now that there isn't a bar on my account, I have set it to 2G only and 3G only, neither did anything so it's back to 2G&3G, I've checked I'm connected to the right network, I have pretty much full signal. I can use BBM and 3G reliant apps such as Facebook but I cannot send/receive emails with either of my accounts.I've updated to the latest OS and I even fully wiped the handset. Done numerous battery pulls.
Tested my sim card in a friends Bold and I suddenly received dozens of unread text messages and numerous missed calls.Kind of worried right now, as I bought this second hand ages ago... it wasn't provided with my contract (which was an LG Arena that I sold to help pay for the Bold) and I have no insurance to speak of.

About a week or so ago, the handset stopped working on phone calls on my Verizon 9930. I would have to put the phone on speaker in order to hear the person on the other end. I just updated to the latest OS that was released yesterday (7.1.0.580) and the problem is still there. Can't remember what triggered the handset to stop working, as I didn't do anything different to the phone, or drop it, etc. I should add whether receiving or making the call, it doesn't work either way. Also I've tried soft pulls (alt + upper case + del) but not a battery pull. Figured the OS update worked the same as a battery pull.
