Recently I have been getting a problem with my 9700 Blackberry. When I make or receive calls, I can not hear anything out of my handset. The person on the other line can hear fine (Usually with me going Hello Hello a million times!) The only time I can hear anything is when I have my bluetooth on or switching it to speakerphone.
I tried doing the soft reset (battery pull when the phone was still on) ...still nothing. Although it did work a couple of times. Its on and off, but recently the situation has gone from bad to worse.Anyone out there with the 9700 with the same issue? It's really annoying and I do use the phone a lot for important calls.
I had an iphone 4 until July 2013 when I cahnged it to an iphone 5. The biggest regret of my life. Ever since I keep missing out on work as the phone keeps dropping calls. I had the phone replaced twice but to no avail.

This phone is rather new, about a month old, and the past week or so it has been dropping calls like crazy. What I mean by that is that people are able to make calls to me, but i never hear any ringtone or anything (yes, my volume is up to the highest) and it registers as a missed call. I got a friend to try and call me while I was in the same room as her to figure out what was happening. She would call me, one ring on her end wouldn't even go by and the call would be dropped. On my end I never get any proper call, just a missed call. Â

-phone will drop all signal and drop the call when talking.
- i will call someone and it will sit forever and never ring for me, i call people and they can hear me for like 2 seconds then we cant hear each other.
- People sometimes can get threw to me when calling.
I've rebooted the phone, turned on/off 3G, and tryed the phone in diff. areas with no luck.I have these apps installed - Winterboard. Lockinfo. OpenSSH. Sbsettings. Categories. Cycorder. Five Icon dock. and a few others.
Is it me or is the iPhone always dropping the network! I am almost at my wits end with it loosing signal and not getting network? Really bad! When I put my sim in another orange phone then there is no bother? Calls never dropped other than known black spots, is there anything that I can do to sort this other than sell my phone ?

I am with Tesco mobile which uses the o2 network, so reception is fantastic. I have done all the usual stuff like place a bumper around phone but made no difference. What I have noticed is the dropped calls seem to happen when the phone goes from 3g to 2g does anyone else have this problem?I am getting to the stage of changing to a different phone.

For the past couple weeks, my Iphone 4 (AT&T) cannot hold a call for more than a couple minutes, even if there is signal when I am having a phone call. I do believe it started after the latest update for the phone. Is anyone else running into the same problem?

If my handset is the cause of dropped calls, wouldnt it be safe to assume that it should be dropping calls everywhere and not in just one area? If it's one area then it would be a Sprint issue and not Apple issue, correct?

I picked up a new iPhone 4S on day of release here in the UK (32GB White if anyone's interested!) and it's generally been ok.
It's always had a problem of dropping telephone calls, especially when I'm in the car. Since the update to 5.1.1, it's got much worse.
After a little bit of investigation whilst in the car, it seems that the dropping of the calls is when the phone switches from 3G to Edge to GPRS to GSM and back again. Now, I've had every iPhone on the day of release since the original. This call dropping makes me look a right pillock when on the 'phone to a customer and the call drops out 5 times in as many minutes!
my Safari keeps crashing when I'm trying to post on forums. I don't know why/what is causing it, but this never happened on the 4 and before.

After upgrading to ios 5.1.1 the service stopped working properly and or dropped calls more common? Also failure to get service in locations you used to, and also poor wifi connections?

We have two iPhone 3GSs in the household, my dads and my moms.I installed iOS4 on both. And both seem to freeze, lock up, drop calls, have occasional weird glitches far more frequently than they did on 3.1.2 (3.1.3 caused issues as well but not as frequently as on iOS4) Sometimes, the lock screen doesn't unlock and the my slide to unlock it isn't recognized (fixed by hard rebooting the phone).
One time the phone froze completely on the Contacts menu.I'm wondering if the proximity sensor might be glitching and causing some of these dropped calls as well.iOS4 is awesome, don't get me wrong. But my parent's getting glitches is annoying as hell. They were hesistant about going with a smartphone instead of a simple flip phone already, and this isn't helping. Is anyone else having these issues or similar ones?Did Apple screw the pooch when it comes to bug testing the new OS?I wish Apple would just let us go back to 3.1.2 on our iPhones. That worked flawlessly where as the subsequent versions all have serious issues.
I have been suffering from continuous dropping of phone calls , loss of network and quick battery draining.

Honestly, how bad is reception in Manhattan? Dropped calls all the time? Slow data and internet connection? Text messages coming through hours after they were sent? I always hear about these issues. How true are they?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI got the Charm late last week and this Tuesday, and Wednesday, it dropped one call each day. I had restarted the phone and even took the battery out, let it sit a minute, put it back in and restart. Today, after dropping a call, I called Tmobile for help. Ended up talking to a manager because the service person wouldn't help me. While on the phone with manager, phone dropped a call. He had me change the SIM card. I went to call hubby (we both got the Charm same day) to have him change his card also, got to voicemail, dropped call, tried Tmobile, half a ring, dropped call. Got to customer service, they switched me to Tier 2 tech support, he was about to give me directions and dropped call. He ended up leaving me a voicemail because he tried calling me back twice and both times it went straight to voicemail. Told me to change the settings from 3G to 2G. I've only used the phone around 15 minutes since switching to 2G but it didnt drop.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm on Tmobile's network and since I've had this bold which I bought the 1st week it was released has been dropping almost 3-4 calls a day. I've talked to tmobile's reps over 10 times now and we have reloaded all my software and am ready to give up on BB. This is my first BB, switched from iphone and I had never dropped 1 call on that phone.
Tmobile is suggesting that I trade in my phone, but the problem is I'm sure they will send me a refurb which I definitely do not want since I paid full price $485 for a new phone.
My sound keep cutting out while I am in call :( The sound works great on speakerphone but as soon as I switch back to the normal earpiece it cuts out intermittently.
Music works great and earphones work fine too, It only drops sound when I make/and receive calls. It's a real pain to have a conversation when you can't hear the other person 50% of the time.
I recently had a new battery and another internal battery/charging related component changed because the battery wouldn't hold a charge or charge at all for that matter. They also changed the screen and rear case which was nice :D But the sound fault was not there before I sent my phone off for repair so it could be the new audio jack on the rear case that is faulty ...
I have a Nexus 5 D820 running 6.0 and I'm having some connection issues when it comes to long distance calls, especially 1-800 number and some local calls. What its doing is i will be talking and i will have LTE full bars great signal and bam drop call. Sometimes i cant even get the number to go through.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt happens like 15 times a day. Its almost as if I hang up the phone on the person. I know it isn't the network because I actually have better signal than I did with my S4 on Tmobile and I never dropped calls with that phone. This issue I think is software related I think. I did read somewhere on the forums that on verizon people said it was the VoLTE (HD calling) if so that sucks because I love HD calling.

View 1 Replies View RelatedIs anyone else having problems with dropped calls when switching from UMA to 3G? Where I work I do not have a signal in the building, so I keep my WIFI on so I can both make and receive phone calls while inside.
The problem occurs when I'm on the phone and step outside. I lose my connection with the router, and instead of switching from UMA to 3G, my call is dropped, and it takes my phone about 10 seconds to find the 3G signal.I was hopping that upgrading the .442 would solve the problem, but it has not
It's only been 1 month & I'm already on my 2nd Blackberry 9700 with Tmobile. I'm running v5.0.0.330. Since day one, I've experienced severe dropped calls that I've never experienced with Tmobile. Severe to the point that I can be on a 30 minute conversation & the call will drop at least twice. I was once on an hour long conversation that kept getting interrupted by 5 dropped calls.
Add to that, there's another Tmobile user in my household who uses the Google phone & no dropped calls at all, which tells me that it's not my coverage area that's causing the dropped calls.I'm also getting dropped calls when I'm speaking to different callers using different carriers & not just those with a specific service provider.
So, I'm convinced that it's the BB 9700 problem. It may even be that this 3G phone is in conflict with the stystems or non-3G users. Nevertheless, I'm so fed up and wanted to know if this is a problem that other BB 9700 users are experiencing. If so, who's your carrier? Has anyone upgraded your OS and if so, has it fixed the issue or have you experienced problems after the upgrade?

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhenever my Atrix is in the car dock when I'm on a phone call, the bluetooth will disconnect and the phone speaker comes on. It intermittently will reconnect/disconnect bouncing between the car speakers and the phone speaker. I've tried using another car dock, another USB cable and 3 different USB car chargers.
Music works fine on the bluetooth but once I take a phone call is when all the troubles start.
