BB Torch :: 9800 Menu And Back Keys Don't Work
Jul 28, 2011I have a blackberry torch 9800 and the menu key & back key doesn't work when i slide my phone up. It only works whenever I use the full touch option, it used to work before but it just suddenly stopped.

Nov 8, 2010I updated my x10 mini pro a few days ago to android 2.1 The problem is that after the update the menu, home and back keys don't work after screen timeout so I have to press the key on the top of the phone to activate the screen and then unlock it.The point is why the hardware keys on the front don't work after screen timeout? Pressing the key on the top and then unlocking the phone can be really annoying...

Dec 23, 2011I just bought a brand new 9860 Torch today and all of a sudden I cannot open the options menu to change settings. Also I cannot view my network and connections to see whether my data service is turned on. I am currently not receiving data on my device. This is alarming as I spent a small fortune to acquire this device today. Again I discovered to my horror the earpiece jack does not hold in the port of my device and unable to listen to music via handsfree. The options icon on the home screen does not open at all when I touch it.Instead it freezes. Same with the network and connections options under network connections.

Nov 24, 2011I've got a blackberry torch 9800 and recently when the screen is down (i.e. covering the keyboard) the call answer key and the menu key do not work. They work when the phone is raised, but not when it's not. I have tried restarting (both soft and hard) and have removed applications as well. I have since done a 'restore factory settings' on it. This seemed to work for all of 10 or so minutes but there after it reverted back to the keys not working when the cover is down.

I want to disable it because I often use apps, and accidentally touch these keys, it's becoming really annoying. May 26, 2012I just bought my XPERIA ST15i last May 15, 2012. Well, the phone with me now went through a series of replacement on the day I bought it. With the first store, I had it replaced TWICE on that SAME DAY because of the issue of it, XPERIA ST15i, activating its home and back keys by itself. For the third replacement because of the same issue, it ended with a refund. So I went to another store to buy another one, and luckily, that malfunction doesn't manifest anymore. Now, after about 2 weeks, that malfunction started to have its episodes again. The menu and back keys are now activating themselves whenever I'm using an app, or just the browser.

Jan 30, 2012I'm having an issue with the menu/BlackBerry button (whatever it's called) The button seems to be stuck. So when I push it the menu will come up but it will automatically do what is highlighted, which is often close or open the tray if on the home screen. If I lock the phone it will darken but then lighten up as if I have pressed the button, but I haven't. It will say screen locked but will continously darken and lighten back up.
I was having this issue a little while ago and even took my phone apart to clean as I thought that was the issue but it did not help. Then I needed to charge it, which I normally do by plug in, but this time I used usb to computer. There seemed to be a substantial update for my phone which once completed fixed the issue with the button. Which was a huge relief as I was thinking I would have to pay somebody to fix and I don't want to do that. It is very pricey.
Well today it started back up. I connected it to the computer but it said there were no updates and did not fix the button problem. And yes I have tried battery pull.
