Nov 21, 2010While entering new number in contact list the menu key now operates the application switcher. an't access any apps other than on home screen.

Oct 24, 2015I have a Nexus 5, Lollipop 5.1.1. Build LMY48B. Today suddenly the Menu orientation of my phone changed to Vertical one with a scroll bar on right side and the "Search App" bar at the top.
Earlier it was a normal left-right swipe menu. Now it is a vertical up/down scrolling menu. I don't know how it changed. There was no software update or anything.And is there a setting to switch back to the original left/right swipe.

Sep 10, 2012I changed my Silent profile to alert me when messages arrive. Now that I realize I changed a whole profile I want to set Silent back to "silent", but none of the choices for "notifier tone", "volume", "count" or "play sounds" is the equivalent of silent - e.g.. I must choose at least number 1 for volume and number 1 for count - there are no "none" or "0" options.I'd like to include my BB model number with this post but I don't know where to find that information.

Sep 3, 2010I just got my BlackBerry curve 8520 last week and I just noticed when I looked at the Application Memory that it had changed. Yesterday it was 135.5 mb but when I looked at it today it changed to 132.7 mb. Have any of you guys experienced this before? Is this normal in a BlackBerry?

Jan 29, 2010I have just changed network from Vodafone to Gamma Telecom and since then emails on one of the 2 accounts I have set up are auto deleting from the device after 24 hours, however, the odd sent item still shows...I have checked settings and states to stay on device for 30 days and cannot understand what is happening as never done this before. Have also done a soft and hard reset but still the same.

When opening the switcher, there is an app called: AlternateApp. The icon has a question mark in in and opening this app freezes the app switcher. I can't find out what this app is referring to, maybe a recently updated app through the app world or there might be some other issue.

BB Torch :: Switch Application Menu Screen?
Sep 16, 2011I have too many icons ( and I guess apps too) running in the screen when you want to switch apps. I have tried going in the app and then clicking "close" in the menu, the end call key and nothing seems to work. Some applications have the word "exit" on their menus and that seems to do the trick for some and but not all.

Jan 30, 2012I'm having an issue with the menu/BlackBerry button (whatever it's called) The button seems to be stuck. So when I push it the menu will come up but it will automatically do what is highlighted, which is often close or open the tray if on the home screen. If I lock the phone it will darken but then lighten up as if I have pressed the button, but I haven't. It will say screen locked but will continously darken and lighten back up.
I was having this issue a little while ago and even took my phone apart to clean as I thought that was the issue but it did not help. Then I needed to charge it, which I normally do by plug in, but this time I used usb to computer. There seemed to be a substantial update for my phone which once completed fixed the issue with the button. Which was a huge relief as I was thinking I would have to pay somebody to fix and I don't want to do that. It is very pricey.
Well today it started back up. I connected it to the computer but it said there were no updates and did not fix the button problem. And yes I have tried battery pull.

Apr 8, 2012I recently got the 9360 and I synced my old 9300 to it so all contacts, emails, texts, etc., went across. Since I've starttd using my new phone no emails have come through and every time I went on email setup it keeps saying 'the email application is temporarily unavailable try again later'. So in the end I did a security wipe but did a back up before. After the security wipe I went to email setup and again it read the same unavailable message, I then went to back up my phone and I cant even do that now!
