I can't find the "blackberry attachment service" file in my application list can I download one? I also looked in Options / Advanced Options / Modules, And don't have "net_rim_bb_attachment" file? How do I proceed from here?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI am new to this device and I had Verizon transfer all 300 of my contacts from my old phone to the tour. When I ran email set up with my gmail account i didn't notice that i checked the contacts box and it deleted all 300 of the contacts I had changed over and left only 20 or so (who i imagine are from my gmail account). I deleted the gmail account from my phone, is there a way to delete the gmail list from my contact list? I go to options and it's the only contact list in my phone and it doesn't give me an option to delete. I even tried re-adding the gmail account to my phone and unchecking the contact list button--to no avail.

When the user opens a message and then does option on that message, the "File" option is listed as an option.Also, when the user goes and views folders, no folders are available...Usually the outlook folder structure is synced downUser is reconciling just fine and everything in BB manager looks good. Carrier sent user a new phone thinking it was the device but user is having same issue with new BB as well. Thus, why they have contacted the BES Admins.

I only have two things installed - Imagining theme (751 kb) and the Spectrum theme (1.2 mb). I'm pretty sure that those aren't taking up 173 mb themselves.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm considering getting the Tour 9630. I have been researching this phone a lot all over the internet. I heard that the memory on this phone is not all that to brag about. I also heard that you can not save applications on memory cards or something like that. (Please clarify that for me if I misunderstood). My question is I have been wondering if the applications take up a bunch of memory. This will be my first blackberry and I am not sure on how much memory applications roughly take up.
I know there are probably random number figures out there, but apparently everyone thinks this phone is overall a great phone even without saving the applications to your phones memory. Excluding that is that the only thing you can not save to memory on it? Just a little FYI I'm new here so please bare with me as I get adjusted to this site. I looked around and didn't find anything regarding this. If you need anymore information or me to be more clear please let me know so you can assist me as much as possible.
I've noticed that no matter how many times I try to close facebook it stays open and seems to slow my Tour down to a crawl. Constantly getting the spinning clock now. I've tried reinstalling facebook but that didn't help. Facebook isn't worth not having my Tour work but at that the same time why am I paying for a device that won't run apps without issues? It's really strange because nothing has changed and yet all of a sudden this issue has popped up. I also tried a battery pull but that seemed to make the problem worse, not better. After the battery pull I got the clock for about 10 minutes and the device was slow for a while after that

View 4 Replies View RelatedI upgraded my Tour OS to 5.0.0.419 yesterday and like it for the most part. However, I just found out a change I don't like. I tried to forward a MMS message to 11 people and get an error saying "Recipient list size exceeds limit." I have a group of people I forward stuff to. I don't want to go back to 4.7 because of something like this. Has anyone else run into this? Is there a fix or setting I may have missed?
Am I the only one having this problem? A search on Google displays nothing.I created a new group, and apparently only 10 people can be in a group at a time.

So, I don't necessarily need the phone, but the contact information. My most recent (and 1 of only a few) backups occurred on June 17, 2010. However, I cannot read the information. On the screen titled "Backup and Restore", all of the databases are in a faint, light gray text. Under, it says something about that they cannot be restored because they have been configured for wireless synchronization or wireless backup, but this doesnt' make sense since I backed them up a few weeks ago.

View 6 Replies View RelatedEvery time I try to use an app that requires the internet, one of two messages constantly pop up, sometimes even both. I have the application permissions set to allow. One message is, "The application slacker_radio has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall and outside the firewall which is not allowed by your IT policy." I can only click 'ok' after that. The other message is, "The application (any one of them) has requested a http connection to (whichever site it uses)" Then is has choices: 'Do not ask for http' and 'Do not ask for http to (whichever site it uses)' The second choice is checked by default. I've tried checking both and either box singely. Again, all the application permissions are set to allow for these apps. I've tried Slacker, Poynt, Scoremobile, Weatherbug, and . I didnt bother trying any other app.

View 4 Replies View Relatedmy phone tried to upgrade to 5.0 OTA today and it got all messed up. Long story short, it auto reverted back to 4.7, but a bunch of my settings were changed, and the very annoying problem of my BBM Group calendar being my default returned, so I decided to wipe the handheld entirely. Before I did so, I created a backup file using Desktop Manager in case anything went wrong.
So I wiped the phone, upgraded to 5.0 via DM, and then re-configured all my settings, 3rd party apps, etc. The only things I am missing now are my memos and task list items, which are contained in the aforementioned backup file. I'm afraid to do a complete restore on my phone using this file because some settings I don't want may get restored...so is there a way to just restore the memo and task list data contained in the backup file to my phone? I messed around w/ DM a little bit and wasn't able to figure it out, but then again I don't use DM too often, so I'm hoping you guys know something I don't.
I have been trying for a VERY long time to download an operating system. Every time the Application Loader Wizard does not detect the blackberry. It also does not let me check the box to detect it automatically. The Blackberry Desktop Manager recognizes the BB and its pin but the app loader wizard does not.

When I try to remove this Facebook tells me I have to do it from the phone. I no longer have this phone and do not even have a BlackBerry any longer and have no way of doing this. Sent an e-mail from my BB to myself and haven't gotten it yet, although my BB says it sent. I've tried alt-caps-del reboot and battery pull. Same problem. Internet browser works fine. I haven't installed or deleted any apps or anything.
