I just noticed this today when trying to email someone to apply for a job. I send the email, and it returns with a red X and says in Message Status: Transaction error - failure at service.And now that I think about it, I haven't been receiving my emails either. Please help me out.
View 6 RepliesI had a curve 8310 on o2 and moved to a bold 9700 still on o2.When i moved i used the desktop manager and did the device switch over, all went well including bbm etc.However whenever i tried to send an email i recieved the error message 'transaction error failure at service' - I tried to log into my bis account online to update my pin but i couldnt log on! i havent changed the password or username since my old blackberry so i cant log on to change it online. on my blackberry when i try to log on to email settings it says the username field is blank!
i called o2 they put me through to geek squad and wanted to charge me to help!!! I havent had the phone 2 weeks yet.Now i think that i need to call o2 again and ask them something like releasing my old pin maybe from my bis account or resetting the bis account,any ideas what i should do or the type of questions i need to ask o2 if i have to ring them again.
Blackberry tour 9630 working fine all of a sudden couldn't get any key on the keyboard to work. The "lock" keyboard button isn't locked and physically can't use phone keys or trackball to "engage" the device. When I receive a call, the screen displays (comes out of sleep) but I can't answer the phone, ignore the phone, etc. It's like the keyboard lock button all of a sudden locked and now won't unlock?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just bought a used blackberry 8520 from a mobule service centre because my bb 9000 was stolen . thisphone has some problem everytime I reboot the access bar doesnt reach to end till its not dissconnected , and once I start the phone everytime there is a message SUPPLEMENTARY SERVICE ERROR : SYSTEM FAILURE . I cannot activate my BIS , my BBM. WIFI and other features like sms, normal phone is working perfectly fine though.

I am on my 3rd tour (2nd replacement phone). This issue started about 4-6 weeks ago w/my first tour, it was replaced then the second one started randomly shutting off, then I am now on tour #3 and am having major issues:I'm not able to get a signal to receive phone calls, text messages or e-mails and today while I was at work (same spot for the last 6 months -- haven't moved and never had an internet/signal problem before) when I got out of work I had 18 e-mails, 16 text messages, 2 missed calls and my battery was practically drained and dying (which by the way under mobile connections and mobile network if I put it on 1VEX it can never find a signal or is always searching for a signal whereas if I put it as Global it can find a signal).I got this phone because I'm an avid overseas traveler and I need a phone w/me when I leave however this is causing a lot of frustration and annoyance.I've done everything to all devices:hard pull, complete hard drive wipe, updated service books, turned mobile networks on and off, made sure I had the most up-to-date software available NOTHING works.any suggestions?

View 10 Replies View RelatedI am heading out on a cruise next week and i was hoping to easily turn off my primary email accounts, but leave on a secondary one that my office can used only when needed. I am a very heavy email user and at .02 cents a kb, I would need a mortgage to pay for all that email.Will deleting the service books for these accounts stop the email from coming in until I can download all email to my laptop; and then download service books?I am a longtime bb user, but the new BIS interfaces do not have a way to turn specific email accounts on and off like they used to.

My phone loads up and:
I get an old background I've never used
I cannot make a call
I cannot open my email
I cannot open my text
I cannot open my voicemail
I cannot open my browser
All attempts to do so freeze my phone and result in the unhappy "App Error 523" with the only option to reset.
It gets better...
Battery Pulls do nothing.
All attempts to connect to my PC result in the unhappy error.
All attempts to do a diagnosis result in the unhappy error.
I really have no idea what to do and all technical support from blackberry leads to dead ends and no result.
Pioneer Tour 9630 I cannot get into the phone for any OS Version, I assume it is relatively current as the phone is less than two months old.
A battery pull did not fix the issue
The apps I loaded were google earth, a GPS Navigation system, ESPN, and weather.
All my phone will do is show a white screen with Error 503 Reset. I have tried taking the battery out and that did not work. All it get is a white screen with a little timer in the middle for 3 or 4 minutes.
It will not connect or do anything with the desktop manager. I have tried the launcher to get it connected, but to no avail.
When trying to sync Outlook calendar with blackberry an error message appears: 0x80040fb3.

Between the process of it going down, i was no longer revieving emails on my phone, so I deleted the account in hopes to simply re-add it and be back in business.Now that I deleted it, im not able to re-add it. Go figure. Im putting my account and password in correctly, and usually it would just load onto my phone. Say I were to restore a prior backup when the email was working, will it be all set?What the heck am i missing this time?

Both videos show up in my video list with the correct duration but neither play. I removed the AP News program and on the next reboot, it comes up with the error screen that says Reload Software 552. I didn't back up anything because I didn't even foresee this coming. I'm reading that I have to completely reinstall the OS again, and I've also read that I can go into my Blackberry on my computer and remove the newly installed(and in this case, uninstalled) application. I'm not currently home so I can't try this but I'm wondering if anyone has other solutions. This is super weird because I had a dream I jumped into a pool with my phone last night and it broke.

View 7 Replies View RelatedSince upating the software on my BB Tour 9630, I am often unable to click on links and web buttons in the browser (or during games like the pre-installed Texas Hold Em poker). Often I'll have to click a link/button 2 or 3 times (or I'll need to click "menu" then "open link" while the cursor is on the link). This is NOT problem with the roller ball it's the software and I never experienced this prior to the update. I've read suggestions on other boards to remove the battery for 30 seconds and then re-install it, but that hasn't help.

I always get the "HTTP Error 400: Bad Request" dialog. And under the details "Connection refused". Not sure what to try other than several battery pulls, etc. Again, never had any issues until a few days ago havent loaded any new apps, etc.

This morning I changed my password on my gmail account and now it will not let me receive messages on my blackberry. I deleted the account through the email settings and tried to re add it and it keeps saying username or password is invalid. It seems very odd to me.

I am on sprint and running .419. I can make phone calls and everything, but just curious what that error message means.
Also, I am no longer getting MMS messages with this update, everything comes through as a SMS, and I have to use that dreaded sprint picture mail to see the message. In which the message never comes out clear.....
My blackberry is setup with microsoft exchange email. All was working well until I upgraded to the Blackberry Tour.
Here is my problem:
Sometimes, but not everytime, when I try to REPLY to an email I receive an error message which says that the email contains an invalid email address. I have scrolled through all the email addresses contained in the reply and can confirm that they are in fact valid email addresses.
Things I have tried:
Battery pull
Renaming my own contact name
Eliminating custom email "aliases"
I upgraded my Tour (Verizon) last week to OS 5.0. Since the upgrade I have been unable to view HTML emails. The body of the email provides the text/link to the images along with a lot of text I do not understand. I don't even get the links to "get image" or "view image on a web page". I made sure the settings were correct (i.e. enable HTML email, download images automatically) and the issue persisted. Battery pull did not work, deleting and resending service books did not work. Through searches on this forum and others it appears that this is not an isolated problem.Is there a fix that I am not aware of? I am close to wiping the phone clean and going back to OS 4.7, but I like all other features that came with 5.0.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have my sound on "Loud (Active)" as I always do and then all of the sudden it stops making any sounds or chimes when I receive calls, emails, texts or facebook notifications.My calls and ect.are still coming thru, but just completely silent.I have to look at my screen to see I have a call coming thru and wait for the little red light at the top to see if I have any text messages and whatnot.Does anyone know why this could be happening?Now during the workday I will probably end up missing important phone calls and playing phone tag with people.Any help would be appreciated
