I am having trouble clicking on things using the bb browser such as links after the upgrade and pages are loading in their full format sometimes instead of loading the mobile site, what's going on?
View 4 RepliesSince upating the software on my BB Tour 9630, I am often unable to click on links and web buttons in the browser (or during games like the pre-installed Texas Hold Em poker). Often I'll have to click a link/button 2 or 3 times (or I'll need to click "menu" then "open link" while the cursor is on the link). This is NOT problem with the roller ball it's the software and I never experienced this prior to the update. I've read suggestions on other boards to remove the battery for 30 seconds and then re-install it, but that hasn't help.

Everything went smoothly during the upgrade, ever since then I have been having trouble with receiving text messages and MMS messages. I have gone to 3 sites for free ringtones have sent the ring tones to my phone, I have not received anything. I also have setup google voice and I am not getting any text messages from people tht text my google voice number.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am having a huge issues with my e-mail/internet and text messaging capabilities with my tour plus the phone constantly shuts off. I am on my 3rd tour (2nd replacement phone). This issue started about 4-6 weeks ago w/my first tour, it was replaced then the second one started randomly shutting off, then I am now on tour #3 and am having major issues:I'm not able to get a signal to receive phone calls, text messages or e-mails and today while I was at work (same spot for the last 6 months -- haven't moved and never had an internet/signal problem before) when I got out of work I had 18 e-mails, 16 text messages, 2 missed calls and my battery was practically drained and dying (which by the way under mobile connections and mobile network if I put it on 1VEX it can never find a signal or is always searching for a signal whereas if I put it as Global it can find a signal).I got this phone because I'm an avid overseas traveler and I need a phone w/me when I leave however this is causing a lot of frustration and annoyance.I've done everything to all devices:hard pull, complete hard drive wipe, updated service books, turned mobile networks on and off, made sure I had the most up-to-date software available NOTHING works.any suggestions?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am running v5.0.0.419 on Verizon. Never had any issues until this weekend when I can suddenly not connect to any web pages. I always get the "HTTP Error 400: Bad Request" dialog. And under the details "Connection refused". Not sure what to try other than several battery pulls, etc. Again, never had any issues until a few days ago havent loaded any new apps, etc.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI just got a Blackberry Tour 9630 through Verizon. I have been attempting to transfer all of my (200+) contacts to my new phone using Verizon's 'Backup Assistant'. I dowloaded the Blackberry Desktop Manager and through the Verizon Backup Assistant instructions have managed to get to the point where my contacts are in a csv file, but here is where the problem begins - my laptop is just a few months old, and the OS is Windows 7. Outlook and Outlook Express, which is what I used to have, is no longer in existence in Windows 7 from what I understand, it is now Windows Live Mail. I have set that up and it is working fine - I have my ISP e-mail set up in it and was able to import my phone contacts in to there, but the backup instructions for importing the csv file so that I can synch them are only given for Microsoft Outlook / Outlook Express. The Blackberry Desktop Messenger does not seem to recognize Windows Live Mail either, just Outlook. I have looked all over the internet trying to find a solution to this, if there even is one. I hope so because the thought of having to enter 200 contacts with all of their info. by hand is not a good one!
Hopefully one of you smart people out there understands what I am talking about and can tell me if there is a solution to this (keeping my fingers crossed!).
All of the sudden, half of my browsers are throwing this error message up that locks my phone when I use the browser icon in themes ....browsers were working fine yesterday, now half ofthem are locking the phone up all of the sudden......did a battery pull like 11 times, wiped the phone and reinstalled the latest .591 and still have the issue. The browsers I used for the last two weeks are now doing this ?

It bugs the **** outta me.. what is the little clicking pad under it called so I can buy a new one? Or if someone can just provide a link that would be great.

Every time i get a mms message from someone i get it first about 5-10 min after they send it, then again about 1-3 hours after they sent it. Ive tried several battery pulls, with no luck. Im running 5.0.0.591 (I know it has problems, but I couldnt get the Sprint upgrade figured out )

I went to download it, and it says that I am missing the MPTT module. I am running .419, however from following the forums, I believe this module started showing up in the 2 most recent 5.0 leaks. So for anyone who wants to try this, go for it.
i havn't posted in a while on here. I had an origiinal tour from pre release in july 09. its been awsome ever since then. but the trackball has been crapping out lately. and vzw has sent me a replacement. well its trackball was worse lol. so i sent it back. anouther one came. and the standby button didnt click like my original one and like my storm standby and mute key they clicked too. 3rd one came today it dont click. you basically dont even know ur pushing it.
so my questions for you guys are.... when u press ur stanby button does it click or no? do u just know ur pushing it cause ur putting force on it? or does it click. please let me know, my vzw rep is following up with me tues @ 8pm est to check up on me and decide what we are going to do. any and all feedback is greatly appreceated. and this one came in a vzw certified replacement box the other ones came inside a brown box that had a plastic peice on them to snug the phone in it.

I just got my Tour about a month ago and this has bugged me since.Sometimes when I want to click the ball to select something, as I'm clicking it in it scrolls once to the right/left/etc. and selects something else.Like on my homescreen I want to select SMS to see my texts, as I'm clicking the ball it scrolls one to the right and ends up opening the Opera Browser instead.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had the BB9630 Tour for about 6 weeks. I have never been able to do a 3-way call. I have contacted tech support and they don't have an explanation. I tried my wife's 9630- same thing. Is anyone else able t make a 3-way call on Verizon. They said a wire could be loose somewher in the network causing the issue, but they have offered no solution.

I had it unlocked so I could use my SIM Card for Vodacom in South Africa which had a blackberry contract, inclusive of Data. I was in South Africa from January to Mid-September.The phone worked perfectly until May, upon which I had occasional cut-outs of BIS. By the end of May, I had suffered 2 weeks without internet. I filed many complaints with Vodacom, and the issue was even escalated to RIM. But I never had any progress. It worked for a day, sparatically. The issue continued until I left in Mid-September. Upon arriving back in the USA, my blackberry worked perfectly on my CDMA Verizon contract,but I am planning on returning to South Africa. I would like to know what this issue was, and how it can be fixed. Vodacom and Vodaworld (a Tech World for Vodacom) could not do much, as the phone was American and, though there are many people in South Africa with the same phone, all have suffered the same problem. We also upgraded to OS 5 and reverted to the previous OS 4 to try see if it would make a difference.As a side note, I was able to use WAP browsing, which I had to pay for, but the BIS didn't work, no matter how many HRT or battery pull restarts I attempted.

I've registered BIS in local provider (MTS Russia) and now I have following problem. BIS is working only after I switch of GPRS service on my sim-card (GSM). And once GPRS is enabled BIS is not working.
Is there any solution for this problem or this phone is unable to work in Russian network in a way when GPRS Internet and BIS exist simultaneousely.
I've developed a problem with my 9630 (carrier: Sprint) recently. I won't receive emails on it for quite a while, but once I open my Internet browser, all of the emails I received since the last time I opened it will come through at once. If I check my messages, they're all listed as coming through at the same time, but inside the email, they're datestamped at the actual time they were sent.
Any ideas as to what it could be? I haven't changed any settings recently, the problem started independent of anything else, from what I can tell. It seems like a problem with my phone not checking for new emails until it uses data services (internet browser).
I see the official software for the Tour stickied up top is for Sprint.Is there a good 5.0 software for Verizon Tours at this time? Or is the issue of returning your Tour to Verizon still an issue?

I can access the device from Desktop Manager, and I can run exe.Autoloader/factoryreset from the Windows command prompt.
However, this does not remove the Verizon phone number from the device. Verizon won't work with the phone because the screen is cracked.
What's the correct way to wipe the Verizon data from the command prompt?
I have a Curve 8530 and might be upgraping to the Tour. My question is, I have backed up my Curve on my pc using the BB Desktop Magager. Will I be able to restore all my phone contacts, bbm contacts, pics, music, etc from the Curve to the Tour using that back up? Or are they not compatable?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI had the sotweare problem that everyone has been having lastley yesterday an i couldt fix it in anyway and today i was like wat the heck let me give it another try to i plug my phone in the computer open desktop manager (5.0) an i pressed aplication loader and update softwear an it had some new 5.0 (i already was using 5.0) so i clicked on it and it reset my phone and now it works perfect but im missing my browser.
View 5 Replies View RelatedFor people who does not have the browser click issues.. did you download a "special" OS update that is different from the rest of the world?I'm trying to understand why some people have this bug and some don't?I am thinking that people don't claim to not have the browser click issue are A. not understanding what the browser click bug is, so they are clueless to if they have this problem or not? B. don't use their native browser to click on the link much to notice?For me, it takes 3 to 4 attempts to click on a link to work and using a third party browser isn't an option for me with a 5.0 OS since opera mini 4.2 version does not work and the 5.0 version sucks with scrolling. Bolt browser is not that great for me either.

They put in a sim card and everything worked perfect: browser, emails, etc. On October 20 I quit receiving emails and could no longer access internet.

I know it will not get OS 6 but maybe an OS 5 that everything works on instead of one thing working great on one but something else doesn't work at all then they send out a new one and the thing that was working good doesn't work so good anymore. Just would be nice to have an OS that everything works as intended on.
