View 15 RepliesI recently upgraded ACT 2005 to ACT 2010, along with getting a new server and firewall. Once the new server and firewall were up and running, I needed a new user profile on my PC. After doing this, I can no longer sync my Blackberry Tour. Desktop Manager recognizes the device, but every time I hit the sync button I get an "unknown error" message.

I find this hard to believe but would really like to quit wasting time finding an answer if Blackberry does not support the new OS.I am also using Outlook 2010 with Windows 7 Premium and cannot get the Blackberry Desktop to sync with Outlook 2010 during set-up.I can't believe Blackberry didn't know a new Outlook was coming out and syncing would be one of those key tasks.

View 8 Replies View RelatedWe recently did a number of hardware upgrades on our computer and installed Windows 7 and Office 2010 about 3 weeks ago (full versions not upgrades). I have been unable to sync my BB ever since and after reading through the message boards have discovered I am not alone. I downloaded the latest BB update which I understood would make my BB and Office compatible.I don't know if the problems are related to BB and Office not being compatible or if there is another problem with my computer. This is what I have done and am encountering: downloaded BB update version 6.0.0.43; BB would not recognize Outlook when I tried to organize my Contacts and Address Book. I have tried repairing and subsequently uninstalling then reinstalling this update a few times.
- gave up and downloaded CompanionLink; Received error message "Click-to-run Outlook lacks API capability. You must install Outlook on your PC for sync". I sought help from CompanionLink but continue to have no luck. The "Add-Ins" link in my BB Desktop Software was available when I first downloaded CompanionLink but has now disappeared and I don't know how to get it back. I did try repairing the BB update to see if this would resolve it.- in the BB Desktop Software Applications tab, it states BB 5.0.0 System Software version 5.0.0 and Core Application Version 5.0.0. are required but it does not give me the capability to install it. I thought the version 6.0.0.43 update replaced version 5.0.0. I don't know if this is relevant or if it matters.
I was able to sync my BB with the old version of OUtlook, and it worked perfectly. recently I upgraded by device software and the desktop manager software, and installed the new Microsoft office 2010. I am not being able to sync anything between my BB and Outlook.

I am able to sync 2-ways on contacts - in these settings I am able to choose outlook express & than 2 ways synchronisation. I cannot choose this kind of settings for my calender. I spent £100 on the latter yesterday after discovering that Windows Calendar can not be synchronised with my new Bold 9700: the sync process ends with a Microsoft Outlook Connector Error message: "No available message stores". Burrowing into Blackberry's on-line support, it seems the most likely cause is BDM - 5.0.1 - trying to connect to an unsupported version of Outlook. (Article ID KB15564).
The result is no contacts or diary on my expensive new smartphone, which is disappointing beyond belief, since Outlook 2007 etc. seems no longer available.
I have this error code on start up. I read the other forums and have tried safe start up (by holding the back button) does not work, tried to erase the lastest 3rd party app via bb desk top but will not connect, and tried to download BBSAK but I cant seem to download the free app, the site is not letting me register. What can I try next? Can anyone email me the BBSAK app?

When I try to configure synchronization in Desktop Manager, I get an error message from Microsoft Outlook Connector saying, "No available message stores".

Well I have been trying to get this @*** thing working for the last @*## week. My Dell was fried by a power spike. The Blackberry was in my pocket well away from the power spike. My current configuration is:
Windows 7 Home Premium
Acer Aspire 7540
4 GB of Memory 64 Bit Operating System
Blackberry Storm 9530, Platform Version 4.2.0.179, Application Version 5.0.0.419
1. I have installed the latest version of the Desktop Software via downloiad.
2. I spent most of today with tech support from Telus.
3. Neither MSS or MTP will work. We have installed and reinstalled all of the software atleast 3 or 4 times.
4. The Windows troubleshooter knows there is a problem and fails. It says (really helpful). USB Mass Storage Device has a driver problem. It also tries to install the MTP driver and fails. What is strange is that there is some communication going on between the Blackberry and the PC.
5. I can not get anything off the Blackberry (photos etc.).
6. The Blackberry does not work with Outlook 2010.
How can RIM possibly stay competitve when they can not even support the two largest platorms out there (Windows 7 64 bit and Outlook 2010). This is a symptom of massive problems for the future of this company. I can not talk to RIM. They want me to talk to Telus. Telus says there is nothing they can do. I basically have a Blackberry that is little more than a simple phone. If the @#*# thing did not cost so much I would just pitch it and get an iPhone.
When I try to sync my Outlook contacts or calendar, the sync setup wizard fails with "No available message stores". Searching this forum and elsewhere it seems that there are 2 usual ways to solve this:
1) Remove the Outlook Add-Ins, which I done and rebooted.
2) Delete mapi32.dll and run fixmapi.exe which I've done and verified there is a new mapi32.dll in system32.
I've read that people can connect just fine with Outlook 2010 Beta (x32), but I not sure about x64 Windows - Maybe that's the problem. Did I miss another common solution to this or does anyone have anything else I can try?
Does anyone know what this message is trying to say? I have an Outlook profile configured so the MAPI library should be able to find it just fine, but maybe I don't understand what the message is really trying to say.

Have reinstalled (install on clean PC also) this 6 version. reset intellisync dir...tc...all waht I found on this forum.
What to do? How to get basic enterpise option to synchro outlook contact ONLY!!!!!????
Please help this is imposible to be in such a brand with so much problems and no explanation at all.

I'd hoped there was desktop software similar to the Palm Desktop where you can view & modify calendar & contact info directly instead of having to use the BB for all data entry, but I don't see this feature in Desktop Manager. Am I missing something? It's a pity if this isn't available, it makes the BB a much less attractive option for me.

For example, if you highlight the Games folder and press the Blackberry options, one Tour can choose "edit folder" and pick a new Icon. The other Tour mine is missing that choice. Any fix? If I create my own folder, I have the feature, but not for my Games, Applications and other folder that were there in the old OS.
