When i sync my blackberry to outlook all the tasks go into my phone as a time of 0:00 (midnight) Whereas my tasks all have proper times for them set in outlook? I have around 4000 tasks and this is really a major problem !Is there something i am doing or is this an issue that can be fixed?
View 4 RepliesI recently upgraded ACT 2005 to ACT 2010, along with getting a new server and firewall. Once the new server and firewall were up and running, I needed a new user profile on my PC. After doing this, I can no longer sync my Blackberry Tour. Desktop Manager recognizes the device, but every time I hit the sync button I get an "unknown error" message.

The email sync tick box is also greyed out but the wireless sync work a dream no probs at all but I would like to get my contacts on there along with email folders and such.

I've installed Kies with no problems and sync'd everything but there is no option to sync MS Office Tasks. Is this for real? Surely there has to be a way for Kies to sync Office tasks in this so called smart phone?

View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter days of searching I have been successf in syncing contacts, calendar, and tasks on my Samsung Android phone (Galaxy S5) with Outlook 2010 on my Windows 7 Desktop using the following tools and procedure:
Install Samsung's Android "SmartSwitch" app on the phone
Install Samsung's Windows "SmartSwitch" application on the desktop
Configure the Windows "SmartSwitch" application to sync the desired outlook data.After the phone and desktop applications are installed and configured, connect the phone to the desktop using an appropriate USB cable. Windows plug and play may or may not correctly recognize the phone, but the SmartSwitch application should connect to the phone's client app and initiate the data transfer.
On the phone, email, contacts, and calendar applications will readily display and update the Outlook data from your desktop. Unfortunately, accessibility of Outlook's "To Do" task list is somewhat obscure due to Samsung's non-intuitive UI and menu organization.To access Outlook's "To Do" task list, using the phone's Calendar app:

Upgraded my Storm 2 9550 to v5.0.0.1015 and desktop software to v6.0.0.43. Media sync's fine. No sync with any Outlook conduits. I receive an Intellisync "unknow error" dialog box and the sync completely shuts down. Can't change any of the configuration settings as well. Receive the same "unknown error".

I have installed the software on several other laptops with their Blackberry Bold (both 9000 and 9700) and this hasnt been an issue.I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software but with no new luck.

I find this hard to believe but would really like to quit wasting time finding an answer if Blackberry does not support the new OS.I am also using Outlook 2010 with Windows 7 Premium and cannot get the Blackberry Desktop to sync with Outlook 2010 during set-up.I can't believe Blackberry didn't know a new Outlook was coming out and syncing would be one of those key tasks.

The only time it remembers is the first time I synced my BB with it. Not such a big issue for syncing, but I like my BB to backup weekly...so once a week has passed after the first sync, it wants to back up every time.
DM 5.0.1 worked flawlessly, but since I am using Outlook 2010, I can't go back.Come on RIM, you can do better than this.Any suggestions on how to get DM to remember when it actually backed up or synced?
i've got a brand new bold 9900, recently upgraded to the latest OS7 version. However when trying to sync by BBerry Desktop Software it starts ok but suddenly pops "error trying to open the device data base", then jumps to the next screen and finishes the whole process.
I realized that TASKS app doesn't work on my device. It prompts the error "Uncaught exception: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException".
With my wife, we got 2 BB Curve 8520 and we're now trying to sync both of them with our Outlook 2003 SP3 on XP SP3. Both do the same thing:
1/ First sync goes well, the BB calendar gets filled up,
2/ Everything syncs well during a few days,
3/ One day, the sync tells us it will delete 3000+ elements on Outlook, of course I click Reject and cancel the sync,
4/ I restart OK by synching one-dir from Outlook tp BB,
5/ A few days after, it returns to step 3 and is behaving bad again.
I can't get any durable solution, the only thing I got is a workaround that lasts only a few days.
Our BB version (mine/my wife's) :
- Platform : 4.2.0.118 / 4.2.0.135
- Application : 4.6.1.274 / 4.6.1.314
I've got a BB9700, Bold 2.At home, Outlook, it syncs happily. At work, with Lotus Notes, it crashed when "updating the devide calendar". There was no issue a few months ago doing exactly the same thing.I'm not sure if it's related, but for some stupid reason I installed Facebook and accidently got the calendar to sync with facebook. I have now removed all entries for the Facebook calendar and al the Service book for Facebook calendar, so it now doesn't appear anywhere.
Facebook is blocked by works firewall, so I therefore assumed that was the problem, hence deleting all my calendar entries associated to Facebook.I've tried syncing with both Bluetooth and the cable.
I can't seem to find a way to sync the email on my Outlook Desktop to my E63. I bought this phone because it promised to sync with Outlook. I assumed that mean ALL of Outlook. It syncs very well with everything but the email. My problem is that I operate remotely and that my desktop email runs on Outlook 2007, which pulls my email off an IMAP4 server. I know the phone can do IMAP4 by itself.
The problem is when my Outlook pulls the messages from the IMAP4 server, it also deletes them from the server, making them inaccessible to the phone. Additionally, this is my private phone and I don't want to incur extra charges on account of my work. I like the ability to download the messages to my phone during a sync, take them with me, answer/delete/file them, and then have those actions carried out in Outlook when I sync the next time.
I used to be able to sync my calendar from outlook to my Bold no problem. Now, the sync routine within the Blackberry Desktop application just skips calendar sync completely, nothing in the log file, just gives a little beep. Tasks, contacts, memo all sync fine. I have updated all device SW (5.0.0) and desktop versions. I have done hard resets, combined all calendars to one, etc.

I recently changes jobs and put my new information into my phone and I am now working from home so I have never needed this before. my email is sending and receiving no problem, my calendar is syncing perfectly but my contacts will not sync. the sync process seems to work from the software (it goes thru the motions) but when I look in outlook, no contactsI have looked around the net for possible solution and even tried most of the things I've seen...to no avail. Yesterday all Outlook calendar entries disappeared but entries are still on the blackberry. Reset synchronization and seems to update Outlook with any new ones and also update blackberry with any new calendar entries made in Outlook but none of original entries that are on BB will go to Outlook. Is there a way to export from the BB and import into Outlook. We have tried multiple things like one-way sync, device wins, etc. Don't want to lose entries on BB since there are tons. Just need to get them to Outlook. Any help is appreciated.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen setting up the desktop software to sync with BB, a stage is reached asking for a source to be selected (Yahoo / Outlook / none / etc). As I am working with Outlook only, if I could I would select this for each, but it only appears as an option for 'Contacts'. For some reason Outlook is not offered as an option for either calendar or tasks. What is more odd is that I have successfully used the same BB and PC in the past with the Desktop software, but for some reason it just stopped working. I have tried removing and reinstalling both v5 and v6 without success. I suspect the problem might be the phone rather than the software - but heh, what do I know!

I spoke with technical support at Verizon and they told me that I was not able to sync my Blackberry to Outlook because it is not yet compatible with Windows 7.
Can anyone verify if that is true and know if Blackberry will soon be able to use all sync options - email, contacts, etc. - with Windows 7? I know have to continue to sync with another PC.

Unfortunately, I had to downgrade back to 5.0.1 as I could not complete Organizer synchronization - I kept getting an error message saying that an unknown error had occurred.
