BB Bold 9700 :: Calendar Sync With BB Desktop / Outlook
Mar 23, 2010I used to be able to sync my calendar from outlook to my Bold no problem. Now, the sync routine within the Blackberry Desktop application just skips calendar sync completely, nothing in the log file, just gives a little beep. Tasks, contacts, memo all sync fine. I have updated all device SW (5.0.0) and desktop versions. I have done hard resets, combined all calendars to one, etc.

Apr 28, 2010Using Outlook as POP but have been syncing calendar to blackberry 8830 device for some time now with no issues. Yesterday all Outlook calendar entries disappeared but entries are still on the blackberry. Reset synchronization and seems to update Outlook with any new ones and also update blackberry with any new calendar entries made in Outlook but none of original entries that are on BB will go to Outlook. Is there a way to export from the BB and import into Outlook. We have tried multiple things like one-way sync, device wins, etc. Don't want to lose entries on BB since there are tons. Just need to get them to Outlook. Any help is appreciated.

Aug 18, 2010I am using a Blackberry Torch and have the newest version of the Desktop Software (v6).When I try to setup my synchronization it gives me options for ASCII and Yahoo but not Outlook.What can I do? I have installed the software on several other laptops with their Blackberry Bold (both 9000 and 9700) and this hasnt been an issue.I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software but with no new luck.

Jul 23, 2010I was told by a tele help agent at AT&T that Blackberry Desktop sync software was not able to be used if you are using Windows 7. I find this hard to believe but would really like to quit wasting time finding an answer if Blackberry does not support the new OS.I am also using Outlook 2010 with Windows 7 Premium and cannot get the Blackberry Desktop to sync with Outlook 2010 during set-up.I can't believe Blackberry didn't know a new Outlook was coming out and syncing would be one of those key tasks.

Apr 10, 2010With my wife, we got 2 BB Curve 8520 and we're now trying to sync both of them with our Outlook 2003 SP3 on XP SP3. Both do the same thing:
1/ First sync goes well, the BB calendar gets filled up,
2/ Everything syncs well during a few days,
3/ One day, the sync tells us it will delete 3000+ elements on Outlook, of course I click Reject and cancel the sync,
4/ I restart OK by synching one-dir from Outlook tp BB,
5/ A few days after, it returns to step 3 and is behaving bad again.
I can't get any durable solution, the only thing I got is a workaround that lasts only a few days.
Our BB version (mine/my wife's) :
- Platform : 4.2.0.118 / 4.2.0.135
- Application : 4.6.1.274 / 4.6.1.314

Feb 23, 2010Samsung SGH-t749 using New PC Studio ver. 1.2.0 IEC. When I try to sync Outlook Calendar with the phone calendar it runs out of memory. I don't know if it is using the internal mem., but I don't see a way to direct it to use the SD card. It also mentions that it is getting email info from Outlook. Does this mean that it is also syncing the address book? I only want to keep the calendar on the phone synced. Anyone have any input?

I established iCloud in Outlook - but syncing only works when I have my iPhone connected by cable to the computer. And - syncing only works when I input a new calendar entry - - syncing does not work over wifi. Also, syncing with a cable will not pick up entries made when not connected - only new entries while connected. Sync will not pick up updates - only new entries.Â
Or is syncing Outlook Calendar to my iPhone limited to new calendar entries only when connected to the computer?Â

Apr 25, 2010Having just replaced my Treo with a Blackberry Tour, I'm new to both the Blackberry and this forum. If I'm posting to the wrong forum, or if my question has been answered before, please point me in the right direction.
One of the first things I did was to get my Treo calendar into Outlook, then get the BB to sync to Outlook. Everything was working fine.
Then I added an email account @vzw.blackberry.net. A few days later when I tried to sync to Outlook, a whole bunch of my calendar appointments get deleted from Outlook. Even when I set up syncing to replace all data in Outlook, I ended up with appointments in my BB that weren't in Outlook. When I looked at the appointment details, the top line had a "Synchronize to" entry. The appointments that got backed up specified Synchronize to Default, the ones that didn't get backed up said Synchronize to vzw.blackberry.net. If there was a way to change the "Synchronize to" target, I didn't find it.
So I deleted the email account from my BB. I synchronized again, and everything worked fine. The appointment details no longer displayed a "Synchronize to" entry.

Feb 2, 2010I have a Pearl 8120 and Outlook 2007. I have been synching between the 2 for about 1 1/2 years without a problem. Today, with no settings changed, I synched and now my phone still has all the calendar appointments, but all but 40 appointments in the Outlook have vanished...those left are in the current month. But also ALL my recurring appointments, even in the current month are gone from Outlook. This has wiped out my history in Outlook completely. Now no matter how I set up the synch parameters, I cannot get the device to send all the appointments back to Outlook. I have updated the device and the desktop software.

Dec 3, 2012The calendar is not syncing wireless with outlook 2010 calendar, I followed the instructions manual, but the option menu in calendar does not show any wireless sync option (tickmark)!
the only options are showing only the following:
- Calendar Display
- Conference calling
- Date & Time
- Accounts:
*email account1
*email account2
*email account3
#Appointment color
#display reminder
#number of entries
the email account is already defined as the default account for calendar (CICAL)!! My colleauge have 9790 using the same server, and the same setting, and the calendar is sync properly through wireless. I tried sync throug bb Desktop Manager, it worked. I dont have BES, so I set up my Microsoft Exchange email as internet based account. the emails are being sync properly between handheld and the server.

Currently, I load an even into my Outlook calendar (and have the right boxes checked in iTunes) but I am damned if the even will transpose to either my iPhone or my iPad!
