I have a BB tour 9630 and I can't get the sync to work from my outlook with BB directly connected to the my BB desktop manager software version is 5.0 Bundle 1600 can anyone tell me how to resolve this issue?

We use MS Outlook as our mail program.I was just playing around in Outlook trying to figure out how to attach my business card to the end of e-mails I send and soon realized I was looking at all of my personal cell numbers of friends, family etc. in Outlook on my corporate lap top ! Yikes ! I don't want my mom, ex wife, current GF's etc. contact info on my corporate laptop.Is there a way to get my Tour and/or Outlook to stop syncing my phone contacts to my my computer?

Whenever I open up the desktop software and try to synchronize my phone or alter the sync options, it says something along the lines that I must be able to access the internet to perform the action. Why would it say this when I clearly have internet access?? Help needed greatly, I need to perform this action so I can go ahead and send my phone to the person who bought it from me.

I have no custom profiles set up. I'm at a loss on this one. I've seen lots of older threads on this but nothing recent so I'm hoping that maybe there is now a fix. Any suggestions?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have checked the time zones on both my outlook calendar and BB. They are set correctly. If I set an appointment for 8am in Outlook, it displays as 9am on my BB calendar. Also it should be said that my phone automatically syncs via an enterprise server. I do not hardwire my BB to my computer. My BB has accurately sync'd with my computer for over a year until now. I tried changing the option in outlook that "accounts for DST", and that didn't work either.

When he deletes a message in his Outlook Inbox, it won't delete. The message will finally delete after being deleted from the deleted folder in Outlook, however, it's supposed to delete when cleared from the inbox.

Only my calendar syncs wirelessly. I can still sync notes, tasks, contacts to outlook.I would like to be able to do at least a one-way sync from device to outlook. Sometimes it works wonderful, and sometimes it doesn't vibrate at all when I get a new notification such as email, text or whatever. Other times it will randomly vibrate 5-6 times just for 1 text.

We recently did a number of hardware upgrades on our computer and installed Windows 7 and Office 2010 about 3 weeks ago (full versions not upgrades). I have been unable to sync my BB ever since and after reading through the message boards have discovered I am not alone. I downloaded the latest BB update which I understood would make my BB and Office compatible.I don't know if the problems are related to BB and Office not being compatible or if there is another problem with my computer. This is what I have done and am encountering: downloaded BB update version 6.0.0.43; BB would not recognize Outlook when I tried to organize my Contacts and Address Book. I have tried repairing and subsequently uninstalling then reinstalling this update a few times.
- gave up and downloaded CompanionLink; Received error message "Click-to-run Outlook lacks API capability. You must install Outlook on your PC for sync". I sought help from CompanionLink but continue to have no luck. The "Add-Ins" link in my BB Desktop Software was available when I first downloaded CompanionLink but has now disappeared and I don't know how to get it back. I did try repairing the BB update to see if this would resolve it.- in the BB Desktop Software Applications tab, it states BB 5.0.0 System Software version 5.0.0 and Core Application Version 5.0.0. are required but it does not give me the capability to install it. I thought the version 6.0.0.43 update replaced version 5.0.0. I don't know if this is relevant or if it matters.

View 5 Replies View RelatedOk Ive had my sprint Tour for about 3 weeks now here are some little things that make me wanna take it back and try the Samsung Monent instead. now keep in mind my first bb was the nextel 8350i.
1. media issue. i cannot get my itunes library to sync using the media sync.this was never an issue on my old bb. I've everything no go.
2. i've updated my phone to the no os 5.0.484 and still very buggie.
3. the 3g isn't very fast now it is a major upgrade from my 1/2 g with nextel.
4. It finally seems to me that owning a blackberry is like owning a microsoft pc you always have to updaye just to keep it running right
Is there a way to automatically sync my time? My BlackBerry gains about 20 seconds per day. If I switch my connection from Verizon to BlackBerry or viceversa It corrects itself but then starts to gain time again.

I've check both my BB and my computer and BOTH are correctly set to Central Time. I have not traveled out of my time zone and have not changed any properties on either device.

Since last week messages I send from the web gmail interface appear on my BB but when I view a message online it doesn't show as read on my BB.
