Is there a way to automatically sync my time? My BlackBerry gains about 20 seconds per day. If I switch my connection from Verizon to BlackBerry or viceversa It corrects itself but then starts to gain time again.

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I sync my BB Tour with my computer, it changes the time on my appointments, which is quite a problem! I've check both my BB and my computer and BOTH are correctly set to Central Time. I have not traveled out of my time zone and have not changed any properties on either device.

Everytime I get an email, it never downloads emails automatically. I've got my settings so that it is supposed to, but when I open one up, I just have image boxes with no images. Is there anything special I need to do? I normally just go into options and hit get images, but it would be nice if this were done automatically.

My Gmail account handles 2 email addresses- one Gmail address for personal, and a second address for business that uses a private domain hosted by GoDaddy. When I am at my PC creating new emails the Gmail service gives me the option to designate which "From" address is used for each new email. When I am at my PC replying to emails the Gmail service automatically designates the "From" address to match the address that was used to send the email to me. Can I have similar functionality when sending new emails or replying to emails from by BB? If yes, in whole or in part, then how do I do it?

View 8 Replies View RelatedI've been trying to use my BB as music player when on the bike.At the same time, I'm running my GPS and utilize the phone function for incoming calls.Music starts up fine, however, as soon as the playback gets interrupted by any kind of command - GPS turn instructions or incoming phone calls, the playback won't automatically resume. Is there any work around for this?
it takes about 10-20 minutes for my phone to boot back up again and its really annoying.and i have no idea why, i don't have anything on there besides music, pictures, a couple of ringtones, some voice notes, and 2 videos and i have an SD card; i have 2 apps installed and its poynt and capture it.that's all, and i don't why it takes forever for it to boot back up and i'm currently running os 5.0.0.624

View 4 Replies View RelatedOk Ive had my sprint Tour for about 3 weeks now here are some little things that make me wanna take it back and try the Samsung Monent instead. now keep in mind my first bb was the nextel 8350i.
1. media issue. i cannot get my itunes library to sync using the media sync.this was never an issue on my old bb. I've everything no go.
2. i've updated my phone to the no os 5.0.484 and still very buggie.
3. the 3g isn't very fast now it is a major upgrade from my 1/2 g with nextel.
4. It finally seems to me that owning a blackberry is like owning a microsoft pc you always have to updaye just to keep it running right

Since last week messages I send from the web gmail interface appear on my BB but when I view a message online it doesn't show as read on my BB. View 4 Replies View RelatedI swear that as soon as the new Windows 7 Series phones come out, I am smashing the BB Tour.I have had this phone for about 8 months or so. I have a paid MSN email address. I use Outlook on my PC and need Outlook Connector to sync it (Outlook) to my email, contacts, and calendar.(that's a whole different rant there- why do I need special software to use a MS email account when it (Outlook) doesn't need it for gmail, yahoo, or another?)For whatever reason, the Tour will not sync ANYTHING with Outlook. The (**bleep**)Desktop Manager is no help as it doesn't recognize ANYTHING from Outlook- not email, not calendar, not contacts, etc.I am under the impression that somehow Outlook Connector messes things up. Fine. Whatever. I setup a MS Exchange email account and got it up and running, both on the PC and on the phone.Still nothing works. Oh sure my emails come through, but that's it. my contacts list doesn't sync, my calendar has zero events/tasks/appointments on it (it does but the phone doesn't think so). Hell, when I am in the calendar, the ability to wirelessly sync is grayed out.When I installed the DM, I selected the option to use a personal email address and that doesn't work. So I uninstalled and reinstalled and chose a work email address, but of course, no one tells you how to activate the damned phone to do this. And what's more, when the DM starts, it keeps reporting:"Either there is no default mail client or the current mail client cannot fulfill the messaging request. Please run Microsoft Outlook and set it as the default mail client."Well guess what? Outlook IS the default email client.Of course, RIM blames Verizon, who blames, MS, who blames the others. Few times it got restarted automatically [not frequently though, may be once in a week or so], and from then onward the time reverted back to the old time which was set as manually. If it set to update automatically, time sync is not happening at all.
I have a Tour & did an OS upgrade through Wireless Update. I had 3 folders in Contacts(top of each contact had three different sync references). Looks like there is 2 of the folders and missing one. How can I set up Blackberry Desktop to sync with one of the missing folders and just get the contacts that that folder or "sync" description?I guess I need to know where and how to find the one folder as well.I do not know if folder is right term. On my contacts the top says "Synchronize Using: Unknown" or Synchronize Using: Desktop". I know there was a third and can not remember the heading.I just need those contacts in that sync.Hopefully I am communicating this correctly.
View 5 Replies View RelatedEver since I activated BES (so that I could sync email/calendar with my company's MS Exchange server), I have been experiencing a couple of email-related issues that I did not have previously:
1)When composing a new email or trying to add another contact to an existing email, when I type in the name of the person, the email address auto-complete function does not work. It does work when I am sending SMS, MMS, and searching through my Phone Book, but does not work in email for some reason. Even if I manually type in the correct email address, I do not have a option for the email. I can only reply to email or go through the Phone Book and selection the phonebook entry. I have done the phone book quickfix several times without any success.
2)My calendar events are not showing up in my BES email folder both sent or received calendar notices do not show up for some reason. I have re-sent the Service Books from BES a couple of times to no avail.
I am receiving error message 0x80043ade when I try to configure my Tour with the new desktop manager and my Microsoft Office 2010 Outlook. I have Windows 7 OS.

I changed the housing in my Tour to make it white but the trackball doesn't sit right and i have a problem scrolling down. I can't seem to get the trackball to sit properely in this housing its just not centered. If i can put a curve trackball in, which model curve do i use?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI've developed a problem with my 9630 (carrier: Sprint) recently. I won't receive emails on it for quite a while, but once I open my Internet browser, all of the emails I received since the last time I opened it will come through at once. If I check my messages, they're all listed as coming through at the same time, but inside the email, they're datestamped at the actual time they were sent.
Any ideas as to what it could be? I haven't changed any settings recently, the problem started independent of anything else, from what I can tell. It seems like a problem with my phone not checking for new emails until it uses data services (internet browser).
