I've been trying to use my BB as music player when on the bike.At the same time, I'm running my GPS and utilize the phone function for incoming calls.Music starts up fine, however, as soon as the playback gets interrupted by any kind of command - GPS turn instructions or incoming phone calls, the playback won't automatically resume. Is there any work around for this?
I recorded 2 25 second videos on my Tour but instead on hitting stop after I was done recording I hit the escape key. Both videos show up in my video list with the correct duration but neither play. I get a video format unsupported error.I think this method worked fine before so I don't know what gives.Anyone have any ideas on what I can do to get em workin?My os is 4.7.157 for sprint

This worked before, but on my run today it Auto-Paused at two stop lights when I stopped, but after starting running again it wouldn't resume on its own and I had to press Start to get it going again
View 1 Replies View RelatedOne of the best features with my BB is the auto lock (an app I downloaded). It would basically put it in standby mode after a few seconds of inactivity. This was key because it prevented it from going off in my pocket.
With the new OS, the app doesn't work. I know there is a similar function with the new OS, but it requires a 4-digit (?) password as opposed to a quick 2-button key press to unlock.
Any ideas on how to get this back?
I have found an app, autostandby which cost money, and easty standby which is not available for the tour. IS there a way to auto standby without an app? Or any free apps to make it do this? Or is the pay one worth it?is there a way to be able to text more then a 160 characters?

Everytime I get an email, it never downloads emails automatically. I've got my settings so that it is supposed to, but when I open one up, I just have image boxes with no images. Is there anything special I need to do? I normally just go into options and hit get images, but it would be nice if this were done automatically.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI am now moving my email service to Gmail and plan to connect it to my BB Tour using the Google Sync service. My Gmail account handles 2 email addresses- one Gmail address for personal, and a second address for business that uses a private domain hosted by GoDaddy. When I am at my PC creating new emails the Gmail service gives me the option to designate which "From" address is used for each new email. When I am at my PC replying to emails the Gmail service automatically designates the "From" address to match the address that was used to send the email to me. Can I have similar functionality when sending new emails or replying to emails from by BB? If yes, in whole or in part, then how do I do it?

Now blammo, nadda!When I type an email (compose new, reply or forward), my email addresses from my contacts now longer auto-magically auto-fill. It doesn't matter what category the contact is from. I've tried alt "rbld" in the contacts. I've restarted about 15times over the last week, even with the almighty battery pull. I've tried re-syncing multiple times. I've removed and re-installed my email accounts. I've spent more time trying to fix it than typing in the dern addresses at this point, it's just so blastedly inconvenient and time consuming with my excessive emailing for work. I'm ready to try a stick dynamite attached to the phone, but thought it was a lil extreme, so I'm asking for help first...
View 8 Replies View RelatedI understand the steps to generate and auto signature - Go to email, click menu/options/email settings/auto signature ON, and type in your signature. However when I click on Email Settings there is no option for Auto Signature. The only options are:
Enable HTML email yes/no
Download Images Automatically yes/no
Confirm Delivery yes/no
Confirm Read yes/no
Send Read Receipts yes/no
There is no mention of auto signature.
Ever since I activated BES (so that I could sync email/calendar with my company's MS Exchange server), I have been experiencing a couple of email-related issues that I did not have previously:
1)When composing a new email or trying to add another contact to an existing email, when I type in the name of the person, the email address auto-complete function does not work. It does work when I am sending SMS, MMS, and searching through my Phone Book, but does not work in email for some reason. Even if I manually type in the correct email address, I do not have a option for the email. I can only reply to email or go through the Phone Book and selection the phonebook entry. I have done the phone book quickfix several times without any success.
2)My calendar events are not showing up in my BES email folder both sent or received calendar notices do not show up for some reason. I have re-sent the Service Books from BES a couple of times to no avail.
Can I set up my Tour 9630 to auto-forward SMS Text messages to my email account; or, barring that, set it up where my email is notified that I have an SMS Text message on my BB?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am hoping you guys can give me some insight as to what is going on. The other day, I got a phone call, and when I pressed the ignore, a song started playing. Now, more about the situation, I have OS 5.0, and my phone was on silent. The song played after pressing ignore is not a song on my blackberry that I am aware of, not my ring tones or music I've put on here. So, I don't know how the music started, why, but I couldn't get it to stop either. I had to do a battery pull to get it to stop. Anyone have any clues to get this to never happen again?

View 11 Replies View RelatedI'm running the most recent build .591 and using skullcandy ink'd headphones. While I'm working out the audio will play normally, but as soon as I place the phone in my pocket it will cut out and then suddenly voice command will initiate. I do not have voice command mapped to either of the side keys. I work out in shorts and the pockets are pretty loose so I don't reckon any buttons are being pushed or the audio jack is being affected.
I tried replicating the problem by fiddling with the audio adapter, hitting random buttons, but it only happens when I place the phone in my pocket. The only other thing I can think of is that it has something to do with the light sensor maybe? Has anyone else experienced this?
Since upgrading to 5.0, my blackberry tour does this annoying thing where it randomly starts playing the music I uploaded onto it. I'll listen to music on my blackberry while I'm at the gym and when I'm done I hit the stop button. Then I'll be standing in an elevator at work the next day and music will start randomly blasting from my phone. Needless to say this is rather embarrassing and obnoxious.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI hate my clock radio on my night stand. The only thing it gets used for now, is occasionally playing some music before I go to sleep. Does anything exist that would let me play music for some period of time (15, 20, 30 minutes, etc) then automagically shut off? Similar to a sleep mode on my radio. I would love to see this feature in Slacker, but I either can't find it or it hasn't been pushed from feature request to real feature.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI just got the Samsung Intensity for Verizon. Everything is great except for one critical thing. I download audibooks from my local library which come as DRM protected WMA files. They play just fine BUT if I exit the music player (to make a call, or just put it away for a while) when I bring it up again, it does not remember its place and goes back to the beginning of the file. This is crippling when you have 72 minute "songs" since you can't be scanning to find your old place every time. With non-protected WMA's even of the same length,it remembers it's place just fine. Also, on my old Samsung Juke it was not a problem. I asked Verizon tech support and they are forwarding my issue to Samsung. I am hoping they will come out with a fix, but they easily could just ignore a complaint from one lone user. Is this a problem that other people have seen? What are the chances that Samsung will actually produce a fix? Is there a workaround to get it to remember its place in a protected WMA?

Everytime I'm listening to music via stock 8.1 music app (so called Music or Xbox music, ver. 2.6.414.0) when I get a message or any sort of a notification, music stops and won't turn back until I manually open the app and press play. It happens in music app but also in the audiobook player or MixRadio.

In the olden days of OS7 and prior, if I were listening to music while the iphone was locked and received a phone call, the music would resume playing after the call was completed. Since OS8, that does not happen anymore. Now, if I am listening to a music App and receive a phone call while the iphone is in lock mode, I have to unlock the iphone and restart the music App.
This is particularly annoying while listening to music in the car and not being able to restart the App while driving.
