Is it possible to auto-forward text messages (SMS) on iPhone 4? I have an iPhone for personal use and a company issued iPhone for work. So not to have to carry both phones, I have forwarded the incoming calls from the personal phone to the work phone, but I have not been able to find a way to auto-forward the text messages received on the personal iPhone to the work iPhone.
I have a 9630 Tour from Sprint.when composing an email the address in the "TO" or "CC" won't auto populate anymore from addresses in my Address Book. I'm sure this must be an easy solution but I'm at a loss and don't even know how it began.
It worked fine for the first 10months ... Now blammo, nadda!When I type an email (compose new, reply or forward), my email addresses from my contacts now longer auto-magically auto-fill. It doesn't matter what category the contact is from. I've tried alt "rbld" in the contacts. I've restarted about 15times over the last week, even with the almighty battery pull. I've tried re-syncing multiple times. I've removed and re-installed my email accounts. I've spent more time trying to fix it than typing in the dern addresses at this point, it's just so blastedly inconvenient and time consuming with my excessive emailing for work. I'm ready to try a stick dynamite attached to the phone, but thought it was a lil extreme, so I'm asking for help first...
I understand the steps to generate and auto signature - Go to email, click menu/options/email settings/auto signature ON, and type in your signature. However when I click on Email Settings there is no option for Auto Signature. The only options are: Enable HTML email yes/no Download Images Automatically yes/no Confirm Delivery yes/no Confirm Read yes/no Send Read Receipts yes/no There is no mention of auto signature.
Ever since I activated BES (so that I could sync email/calendar with my company's MS Exchange server), I have been experiencing a couple of email-related issues that I did not have previously: 1)When composing a new email or trying to add another contact to an existing email, when I type in the name of the person, the email address auto-complete function does not work. It does work when I am sending SMS, MMS, and searching through my Phone Book, but does not work in email for some reason. Even if I manually type in the correct email address, I do not have a option for the email. I can only reply to email or go through the Phone Book and selection the phonebook entry. I have done the phone book quickfix several times without any success. 2)My calendar events are not showing up in my BES email folder both sent or received calendar notices do not show up for some reason. I have re-sent the Service Books from BES a couple of times to no avail.
hello, I just upgraded my phone to the .732. Everything went smoothly during the upgrade, ever since then I have been having trouble with receiving text messages and MMS messages. I have gone to 3 sites for free ringtones have sent the ring tones to my phone, I have not received anything. I also have setup google voice and I am not getting any text messages from people tht text my google voice number.
My schools email server went down the other day, and now it is back up. Between the process of it going down, i was no longer revieving emails on my phone, so I deleted the account in hopes to simply re-add it and be back in business.Now that I deleted it, im not able to re-add it. Go figure. Im putting my account and password in correctly, and usually it would just load onto my phone. Say I were to restore a prior backup when the email was working, will it be all set?What the heck am i missing this time?
I can't seem to get rid of my email signature on my BES account. I previously had an 8830, and I could go into email settings and turn the sig on and off. I could change the wording, etc. It worked perfectly.
With my Tour, every time I send an email, I still have the signature that I created with the 8830. I can change the email setting labeled "Use Auto Signature" (don't remember what it was called on the 8830) to Yes or No, and it doesn't affect anything. If I select "Yes", and type in a new signature, it still uses the one I created on the 8830.
I recently upgraded to the Tour from the 8830 at work. My IT dept transfered all my information and there is a gmail email account icon, but the account doesn't work. I set it up again in the Email Setup section, but its not working. I removed what I did and the gmail icon is still there, but doesn't work. Can anyone help? My IT dept rep is an absolute ***** and has done nothing to help me with this problem besides telling me "well, I guess you just can't use Gmail on this phone", which is absurd since I could use it on the old one, so I know BB supports it.
The Icons at the bottom on main screen are Messages, E-Mail (new account), E-Mail (old account), SMS and MMS, Contacts, and Calendar. I want the icon for the old E-Mail account deleted, permanently off my phone. Completely gone everywhere from the phone. Any info on this subject will be greatly appreciated.
For some reason when I send a text message it says pending *there is a box next to the message* I check it & still says pending. I can receive them - my husband received all mine hours later. I'm assuming something with a connection - but can't seem to find it.
I upgraded my tour this morning. Now every text message I get from my twitter account just lumps into one message. you cant tell whats new or what you have read or who they are from , I need to turn that off to go bacl to individual messages. How do I do that.
Every time I try to send one, it goes to pending for a short time (occasionally flashing the "sending" symbol but only for about half a second) and then shows the big "X" along with "Retries exceeded" or something like that.
got my Blackberry Tour 9630 2 weeks ago and had the following issue which Verizon said was a glitch and that they've never seen it before and gave me a new one...only thing is, i have the same problem on this phone!! Anyone know what the heck is going on and how to fix it??? Problem below:
If i get a text message from someone that is also a BBM contact, I get the text message in my BBM list and it has a text message symbol next to it!!! and in my text message list! i don't need to be told twice that I have a message of some sort and this is VERY annoying!
I have a quick question and I have searched and cannot find what Im looking for. I appologize ahead of time for being a NOOB. Is there anyway to separate texts by contact? My BB shows every text thats been sent. Im wanting to compress all these texts into individual lines per contact. For instance if someone sends me 10 texts, it shows them all instead of 1 line for that particular contact.
I'm running .419 and I have threaded text, this morning my texts started coming in blank, i could type and send fine, but my received would not show up even after deleting the entire conversation with the person.
I can receive text messages from any sender and get the message just fine and able to read fully. One sender's messages are all blank. I receive the message and my phone acts like I have one, but all the words are gone. And this sender is the person I text and talk the most to. I pulled the battery and that didn't help.
I think about 90% of my contacts in my address book on my Tour had all of a sudden disappeared. Yes, I didn't do anything and it's gone! Well this is what happened. I added a new email account to my BB and it was "activating" the email account. There was also a new icon that showed up while "activating". After about 20 minutes it's done "activating" and the icon was gone. So I thought everything was fine and dandy. The next day, I was told that my windows live account kept on signing in and out on it's own every few minutes. I made a call using speed key and there was no name for the number (the call did go through though). So I went to my address book and saw that 90% of my contacts had disappeared. That's what happened. I did not do a back up before I added a new email account to BB.
I searched - I swear - and I could not find a question quite like this one, and therefor was unable to find a solution, if there is one.And here's the question: I'd like to have SMS messages, received from one source, by one BlackBerry Tour, automatically forward by rule to a second BlackBerry Tour. Is this possible?
I just got the phone, when i send a message, I send it to all messages I have in inbox. I mean I cant have like all messages separetly, they all go to 1 message like a chat and I cant answer to just 1 person. I saw some videos that send me to options, sms and email inbox, but I dont have that option. What can I do plz help me.
I currently have my BlackBerry Tour configured for three seperate email accounts. The first two are working just fine. I just noticed this this morning that for the third, messages that I have read appear to be disappearing from the device. I've checked in Options and it appears that I have plenty of available space (101680072 bytes free) unless I am misreading what that number represents.
For example, I've read and responded to probably 10 emails from this account today. The emails that I read early this morning no longer show in the inbox, however the sent item for the response that I sent still does. The only items that still appear in the inbox are items that have arrived in the last 2 - 3 hours, anything prior to that, including ALL emails that I have received since setting up the account a few weeks ago are gone. The only thing that is visible for those dates are my sent items.
I had seen another thread in which someone had stated that rebooting by removing the battery might correct the issue but I tried that and it did not. I've included my settings for the email account in question below. I don't use any type of third party sync application, what the heck is going on here and how do I fix it?

I am having the same issue described in the overview of article KB11172, and have tried all the solutions listed there, but to no avail. The odd thing is, I have 4 9630s connected to my BES, and 2 are working fine, and 2 are not able to receive the emails. How could this be? Something on the handhelds?
