I can receive text messages from any sender and get the message just fine and able to read fully. One sender's messages are all blank. I receive the message and my phone acts like I have one, but all the words are gone. And this sender is the person I text and talk the most to. I pulled the battery and that didn't help.

Everything went smoothly during the upgrade, ever since then I have been having trouble with receiving text messages and MMS messages. I have gone to 3 sites for free ringtones have sent the ring tones to my phone, I have not received anything. I also have setup google voice and I am not getting any text messages from people tht text my google voice number.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded my wife's OS on her VZW Tour to the latest official release. Since then she has been having problems with her work email.
She is on BIS but has her blackberry account set up with her company's Exchange server. Until the upgrade everything was fine. Now, however, most if not all of her work emails are arriving blank. All her other email accounts come through fine. If she forwards the work emails to another account they read fine. If she even forwards the work email back to her blackberry from the same email account the text of the email will appear as well. These are all internal emails within the company. Not HTML based. Text and possibly an attachment (attachments show up fine). I have checked her settings and nothing has changed. I am curious as to whether or not her employers email server may not be compatible with the new OS.
I am a little perplexed and cannot figure out what the deal is.
For some reason when I send a text message it says pending *there is a box next to the message* I check it & still says pending. I can receive them - my husband received all mine hours later. I'm assuming something with a connection - but can't seem to find it.

If i get a text message from someone that is also a BBM contact, I get the text message in my BBM list and it has a text message symbol next to it!!! and in my text message list! i don't need to be told twice that I have a message of some sort and this is VERY annoying!
I have a quick question and I have searched and cannot find what Im looking for. I appologize ahead of time for being a NOOB. Is there anyway to separate texts by contact? My BB shows every text thats been sent. Im wanting to compress all these texts into individual lines per contact. For instance if someone sends me 10 texts, it shows them all instead of 1 line for that particular contact.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI've developed a problem with my 9630 (carrier: Sprint) recently. I won't receive emails on it for quite a while, but once I open my Internet browser, all of the emails I received since the last time I opened it will come through at once. If I check my messages, they're all listed as coming through at the same time, but inside the email, they're datestamped at the actual time they were sent.
Any ideas as to what it could be? I haven't changed any settings recently, the problem started independent of anything else, from what I can tell. It seems like a problem with my phone not checking for new emails until it uses data services (internet browser).
I can send and people get my texts, but now cannot receive them unless I use the Crunch SMS program. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Tour 9630 for Sprint and I plugged it into my iMac last night to charge via USB and it was perfectly fine the whole time.When i woke up in the morn (the comp also went to sleep all night long) the phone screen was blank (black) and the red LED light was solid with no blinking. I unplugged the phone and the screen stayed blank and the light stayed on. I pressed the power button on the phone and the screen showed the little clock with rotating hands (like it was processing something) and then it went blank again and the LED light came back on.It did this 3 times before i took the battery out.I left the battery out for about 25mins and when i put it back in nothing happened at all. I pressed the power button and still nothing. The only thing that happens is when i plug it back in the comp, the solid red LED light comes back on - but still nothing on the screen.Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas for me? Did i fry the battery by leaving it plugged into a dormant comp?

1. Storing a significant amount of text messages e.g. 3000 or so (which my current 3110c can do so shouldn't be a problem)
2. Sort text messages by sender.For example, go to Inbox, By Sender.It should also be possible to sort Sent items by who they were sent to.
When I receive a text message, I don't want the name of the sender of the test message to appear on my screen. All I want to see is a small, white number inside of a red circle, attached to my Message icon. I'm sure there is a way to turn off this feature, but I haven't yet been able to figure out how to do it.

Now I have activated a temporary phone my mom had on hand (Lotus) while I save up for a new iPhone.Is there a list out there in cyber space somewhere that lists all the iPhone numbers because now people who have iPhones send me blank text messages? I have been able to isolate this down to only happening when they send me an "iMessage" but I don`t understand why I keep getting them? Even people I had never texted with before losing my phone are sending me these blank messages. How do I fix this?

So this all started about two weeks ago. Every time i get a mms message from someone i get it first about 5-10 min after they send it, then again about 1-3 hours after they sent it. Ive tried several battery pulls, with no luck. Im running 5.0.0.591 (I know it has problems, but I couldnt get the Sprint upgrade figured out )

View 8 Replies View RelatedI'm not receiving any notification of voice-mails.People leave me voicemails, but the Tour doesn't notify me of them. I do not have visual voice mail -- this is just plain ol' voicemail. I don't get texts notifying me of VM, either, but I'm not sure I'm set up to receive text notifications, so I'm less concerned about that.
I've been notified before that there is a new voicemail for me, and after that there was a little icon up near the email and text message icons until I listened to it. I don't get either of these any longer -- not the big notification or even the little icon with the number beside it. I don't know exactly when or why these have stopped.How can I get VM notifications back?
I've had 2 Tours on Verizon and they both have the same problem. Certain people's texts come in on my phone, and I can read the first "preview" line in the SMS menu. When I try to open the text to see the rest of it, my phone freezes up for a minute of so and then the text is blank (with just the arrow next to it, so I can see it is missing. ) This doesnt happen every time I get a text from them, but it happens enough to be annoying. I downloaded Crunch SMS as a backup because that opens the texts that my normal SMS app wont, but I like the BB text program better.
Once I get one of these blank texts I have to delete the entire history with that person to start recieving the text again, which is also inconvienent since I lose a lot of texts every month because of this.They also have to edit at least one character in their original text to get it to show up on my phone when they resend it.
Both people that this happens with have EnV's on verizon, one of them has had 2 EnV 3's and one has an EnV touch. Sometimes they cant read my texts either.
I've tried battery pulls, updates, and warranty replacements.EDIT: I have the Original Tour with camera. It's on Verizon running the most recent software. Crunch SMS doesnt have anything to do with this, it happens with or without it installed. I have ~80 mb free memory at all times and do a QuickPull every couple of days.
Thursday I didn't get any emails from my external email accounts (Yahoo, Hotmail, Work) until 11:40PM Pacific then I got a whole days worth. Since then I haven't received anything.My phone works, text messaging works, the brower works, I can see the emails when I go to the websites on the PC or BB Browser. Facebook (no notifications though because they come through email) and Twitter apps work.I sent a test email from my BB from my yahoo account to my hotmail account and it did send.I have taken the battery out and restarted it. There arent any errors or anything I'm just not receiving the emails.

I did the device switch with DM and everything seemed to copy over just fine with one exception. I keep getting new messages (both email and sms) and the top bar is showing that I have 6 new messages but they are not actually showing up in my messages.
