BB Tour :: Some SMS Messages Come In Blank?

I've had 2 Tours on Verizon and they both have the same problem. Certain people's texts come in on my phone, and I can read the first "preview" line in the SMS menu. When I try to open the text to see the rest of it, my phone freezes up for a minute of so and then the text is blank (with just the arrow next to it, so I can see it is missing. ) This doesnt happen every time I get a text from them, but it happens enough to be annoying. I downloaded Crunch SMS as a backup because that opens the texts that my normal SMS app wont, but I like the BB text program better.
Once I get one of these blank texts I have to delete the entire history with that person to start recieving the text again, which is also inconvienent since I lose a lot of texts every month because of this.They also have to edit at least one character in their original text to get it to show up on my phone when they resend it.
Both people that this happens with have EnV's on verizon, one of them has had 2 EnV 3's and one has an EnV touch. Sometimes they cant read my texts either.
I've tried battery pulls, updates, and warranty replacements.EDIT: I have the Original Tour with camera. It's on Verizon running the most recent software. Crunch SMS doesnt have anything to do with this, it happens with or without it installed. I have ~80 mb free memory at all times and do a QuickPull every couple of days.

I'm running .419 and I have threaded text, this morning my texts started coming in blank, i could type and send fine, but my received would not show up even after deleting the entire conversation with the person.

I can receive text messages from any sender and get the message just fine and able to read fully. One sender's messages are all blank. I receive the message and my phone acts like I have one, but all the words are gone. And this sender is the person I text and talk the most to. I pulled the battery and that didn't help.

I have a Blackberry Tour 9630 for Sprint and I plugged it into my iMac last night to charge via USB and it was perfectly fine the whole time.When i woke up in the morn (the comp also went to sleep all night long) the phone screen was blank (black) and the red LED light was solid with no blinking. I unplugged the phone and the screen stayed blank and the light stayed on. I pressed the power button on the phone and the screen showed the little clock with rotating hands (like it was processing something) and then it went blank again and the LED light came back on.It did this 3 times before i took the battery out.I left the battery out for about 25mins and when i put it back in nothing happened at all. I pressed the power button and still nothing. The only thing that happens is when i plug it back in the comp, the solid red LED light comes back on - but still nothing on the screen.Has anyone experienced this or have any ideas for me? Did i fry the battery by leaving it plugged into a dormant comp?

I recently upgraded my wife's OS on her VZW Tour to the latest official release. Since then she has been having problems with her work email.
She is on BIS but has her blackberry account set up with her company's Exchange server. Until the upgrade everything was fine. Now, however, most if not all of her work emails are arriving blank. All her other email accounts come through fine. If she forwards the work emails to another account they read fine. If she even forwards the work email back to her blackberry from the same email account the text of the email will appear as well. These are all internal emails within the company. Not HTML based. Text and possibly an attachment (attachments show up fine). I have checked her settings and nothing has changed. I am curious as to whether or not her employers email server may not be compatible with the new OS.
I am a little perplexed and cannot figure out what the deal is.

So this all started about two weeks ago. Every time i get a mms message from someone i get it first about 5-10 min after they send it, then again about 1-3 hours after they sent it. Ive tried several battery pulls, with no luck. Im running 5.0.0.591 (I know it has problems, but I couldnt get the Sprint upgrade figured out )

About a week ago, my iPhone 5S started acting very strange. Whenever I go into my "Messages" app, it either shows up as a blank white page or shows previous messages but the screen freezes on the page. Sometimes I am able to text but then it starts freezing again. I am unable to call anyone. My battery is drastically draining. My phone just decides to freeze randomly and will turn off by itself. When double clicking the home button to "close" apps, my phone freezes. I have tried to update to the new IOS 8.1.2, but whenever I choose the "agree" option, my phone doesn't do anything.

Why does my messages icon take me to a missed calls list and not my SMS messages? To get to SMS I have to "view folders". Please tell me there is a quicker way.

hello, I just upgraded my phone to the .732. Everything went smoothly during the upgrade, ever since then I have been having trouble with receiving text messages and MMS messages. I have gone to 3 sites for free ringtones have sent the ring tones to my phone, I have not received anything. I also have setup google voice and I am not getting any text messages from people tht text my google voice number.

When I send my husband a text to his BlackBerry Style from my EVO he gets it so he knows I've sent him something but it comes up as a blank screen, No Text, he can't see it. He doesn't have this issue with any other person. Nor do I ever have an issue with my texts not showing up for anyone else. Is there some compatibility problem between EVO/BlackBerry?

Having problems with replying and/or sending group texts with the people you send to getting blank messages? I have Verizon for HTC One and people with iPhones from same and different carriers will get my responses in a group message but anyone I know who owns any phone that is Android or Windows only gets blanks from me.
Is there anything that can do about it on my end or is this an Android, carrier and/or HTC problem?

On the iphone 4 why do i get blank contact names with no messages in my message app? I didn't try and text them, the name just appears with no message and no typing a message bubble.

I am wondering if others are having the same issue. Sometimes when I receive a text message on my MA it is completely blank. They are even plain text messages. Let me explain. I have received text messages with special characters in the message and the MA displays a "?" where those characters are. When I receive a message that contains a picture those do not get sent to the MA (and I am more then okay with that). But for some reason when I get certain text messages the display shows up all white and I am unable to see anything when trying to open the message on the MA. I can't even delete it.
Phone: Motorola DROID X Running 2.3.3 with System Version 4.5.605.MB810
MA: System Version 4.55.76
EDIT: I have upgraded to the latest version of the OS for the MA and now get some feedback saying that a message could not be synced but I still wonder why some are able to be synced while others cannot be.

My phone appears to be sending blank text messages to friends. I have no record of the 'sent' text on my phone. It has happened on more than one occasion. Rebooting does not seem to be a solution. The recipients also have an iPhone.

Been pretty happy with the ICON. Noticed a problem with sending group messages to Sprint Android users from Verizon ICON. They are getting a blank group message. Tried an Android on ATT and it worked. My friend tried it from is WP on Verizon and he gets the same results. Tried to talk to VZW and "We'll look into this" and now its marked as resolved but the same issue exists.

For about a month now , my phone has been having problems sending text messages. Some people receive them just fine, some people receive boxes instead of letters, and some people receive blank messages. Sometimes people just don't get anything. My phone registers that they have sent, but they never receive the message. I have also tried restarting my phone and taking out the battery many times.

I just got a new tour from verizon to replace my original tour that had trackball issues. I did the device switch with DM and everything seemed to copy over just fine with one exception. I keep getting new messages (both email and sms) and the top bar is showing that I have 6 new messages but they are not actually showing up in my messages.

I have a Verizon Tour 9630. I'm having problems with my SMS messages. Most of them are going through fine, but a few are either not delivered (although it says on my end it has been delivered) OR they're getting scrambled. For example, I'll write something and when I see the message on my recipients phone, it's coming through with half my message and then gibberish. I compare it to my original sent message and it's completely different. It's almost as if my message has been intercepted/crossed with someone elses message.

I can see everything the group does but noone sees me. They were able to see my messages before I did a software upgrade to version 4.7.1.61. I've done a couple of battery pulls and they are not working.

I have a problem with text messages - when someone sends me a message in Russian, I get blank "highlighted" lines instead of the letters. I can see commas and smileys but not the actual text.When I go to language setup, Russian is not listed. I have tried "Automatic" and "English" with the same results.I have done a master reset, same behavior.The thing is, I LOVE the V551 phone. I also have an iPhone I use for business, photos, music, etc., but the V551 is my 2nd personal phone and I've used one since 2003. I love it so much, I recently found a brand new one for sale on eBay and ordered it. This is the one where I am having this problem - the brand new "old" Motorola V551.

I have a 9630 TOUR for about a year and have sucessfully been able to delete email messages without a problem.....except for two that won't delete!!!
I have tried everything and I can't delete these two messages for some reason.. I have tried deleteing them from my laptop sucessfully, but they still appear on my 9630..get rid of these two annoying emails that just sit there on my blackberry...staring at me....

I have an envelope that indicates I have two new messages but I do not. I verified all my message were read, non unread. I did a battery pull twice and it still will not go away.

I have my Tour set to delete messages after 15 days. I just noticed that they're not deleting. I've noticed that emails stick around for a month or so before being deleted, but SMS don't delete. It's been set to 15 days since I got it in September, and I still have every SMS sent/received on it
Is this a known bug? Is there a fix for it other than hope it's fixed in the next OS release?

I downloaded berrybuzz about a month ago and everything has been working great untill two days ago. Now the LED doesn't light up at all.I have tried battery pulls and that doesn't work. Any ideas. My next thing is to delete the app and redownload it.If someone else has an other idea that would be great.

I have recently been on the phone with sprint and i have not been able to receive any messages sms, mms, from att users everyone else is fine this seemed to happen after my number was ported over this week i am a new customer with sprint and the number i had ported over was used from boost that i was running my 8350i with my att friends and family can get my messages but i cannot get theirs anybody else having this problem the advanced tech support for bb at sprint did a master reset and gave me some ## number to enter and th press the call button and had me re-enter two number one being mine and the other with the network this still did not resolve anything i still can not receive any messages and my case is pending wondering if anybody can let me know what might be causing this my phone is only like a week old

I searched other topics and clicked the "similar threads" crackberry offered but couldn't find anything that addressed this. I'm running OS 5 (.419, though I have a friend with me who is running the latest Verizon official and duplicates the same annoyance).
When I receive an SMS text message, the LED blinks as it should. But when I open it, it will continue to blink until I either respond or back out of the message. It's a minor annoyance I know, but does anyone have a fix for this?

is there any possible way to set or add an app so that my bb tour can send sms messages over 160 characters? i have heard it should let you as long as you send to people that have the same verizon carrier as you but it will not work for me?
