I have my Tour set to delete messages after 15 days. I just noticed that they're not deleting. I've noticed that emails stick around for a month or so before being deleted, but SMS don't delete. It's been set to 15 days since I got it in September, and I still have every SMS sent/received on it
Is this a known bug? Is there a fix for it other than hope it's fixed in the next OS release?
Since installing os 5 on my Verizon 9630, my text messages are being deleted after 2 days even though I am not deleting them. Texts older than 2 days no longer appear when I click on SMS/MMS on my home screen. Is there a setting I dont know about? When I was running 4.7 all my text messages appeared until I manually deleted them.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have noticed this multiple times now that random contacts are missing from my address book. Today I got a call from my mother and her contact info was gone as well! I haven't installed any new apps and I haven't gone through and wiped out any of my other old contacts.
I am running .591 and I know that's an oops. Good thing for Verizon's backup assistant! I was able to get the numbers back online.
I've read a couple tips on how to delet call logs and while they have worked, I'm still not able to delete the call history that you find when you press the green call key.I've gone into messages, gone into view folder, and selected phone call logs.fter I've pressed delete prior and my call history is gone. However, I still can't figure out how to delet the history I find by pressing that green button
View 2 Replies View RelatedI use gmail for my email accounts and there are times when I try and delete and email from my bb using the delete and/or the delete from handheld and on the server function.but the email doesn't delete from the handheld. Is there a reason for this?

So this all started about two weeks ago. Every time i get a mms message from someone i get it first about 5-10 min after they send it, then again about 1-3 hours after they sent it. Ive tried several battery pulls, with no luck. Im running 5.0.0.591 (I know it has problems, but I couldnt get the Sprint upgrade figured out )
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am heading out on a cruise next week and i was hoping to easily turn off my primary email accounts, but leave on a secondary one that my office can used only when needed. I am a very heavy email user and at .02 cents a kb, I would need a mortgage to pay for all that email.Will deleting the service books for these accounts stop the email from coming in until I can download all email to my laptop; and then download service books?I am a longtime bb user, but the new BIS interfaces do not have a way to turn specific email accounts on and off like they used to.

Everything went smoothly during the upgrade, ever since then I have been having trouble with receiving text messages and MMS messages. I have gone to 3 sites for free ringtones have sent the ring tones to my phone, I have not received anything. I also have setup google voice and I am not getting any text messages from people tht text my google voice number.

I did the device switch with DM and everything seemed to copy over just fine with one exception. I keep getting new messages (both email and sms) and the top bar is showing that I have 6 new messages but they are not actually showing up in my messages.

Now the LED doesn't light up at all.I have tried battery pulls and that doesn't work. Any ideas. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have recently been on the phone with sprint and i have not been able to receive any messages sms, mms, from att users everyone else is fine this seemed to happen after my number was ported over this week i am a new customer with sprint and the number i had ported over was used from boost that i was running my 8350i with my att friends and family can get my messages but i cannot get theirs anybody else having this problem the advanced tech support for bb at sprint did a master reset and gave me some ## number to enter and th press the call button and had me re-enter two number one being mine and the other with the network this still did not resolve anything i still can not receive any messages and my case is pending wondering if anybody can let me know what might be causing this my phone is only like a week old
View 8 Replies View RelatedI searched other topics and clicked the "similar threads" crackberry offered but couldn't find anything that addressed this. I'm running OS 5 (.419, though I have a friend with me who is running the latest Verizon official and duplicates the same annoyance).
When I receive an SMS text message, the LED blinks as it should. But when I open it, it will continue to blink until I either respond or back out of the message. It's a minor annoyance I know, but does anyone have a fix for this?
is there any possible way to set or add an app so that my bb tour can send sms messages over 160 characters? i have heard it should let you as long as you send to people that have the same verizon carrier as you but it will not work for me?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just updated my Blackberry Tour to the latest OS (v5.0.0.591). I have a huge problem with my sms messages showing up in my Blackberry Messenger. When I sms a contact that is also added to my Blackberry Messenger, the sms messages appear under "Chat." Ok thats fine...BUT when I go to end the chat on the sms conversation, it asks me to delete all messages in chat. SO if I choose yes, I also delete ALL sms messages that I've ever received from that contact. I also noticed that those same contacts that are added to my Blackberry Messenger, when they send me an sms message, it does not show up in the main message list...only the Blackberry Messenger.

Since last week messages I send from the web gmail interface appear on my BB but when I view a message online it doesn't show as read on my BB. If i get a text message from someone that is also a BBM contact, I get the text message in my BBM list and it has a text message symbol next to it!!! and in my text message list! i don't need to be told twice that I have a message of some sort and this is VERY annoying!
