IPhone 6 Plus :: Music Does Not Resume Playing After Phone Call If In Locked Mode
Dec 10, 2014
iPhone failing to restart playing music after receiving a phone call?Â
In the olden days of OS7 and prior, if I were listening to music while the iphone was locked and received a phone call, the music would resume playing after the call was completed. Since OS8, that does not happen anymore.  Now, if I am listening to a music App and receive a phone call while the iphone is in lock mode, I have to unlock the iphone and restart the music App.Â
This is particularly annoying while listening to music in the car and not being able to restart the App while driving.
I'm a Lumia 1520 user. Everytime I'm listening to music via stock 8.1 music app (so called Music or Xbox music, ver. 2.6.414.0) when I get a message or any sort of a notification, music stops and won't turn back until I manually open the app and press play. It happens in music app but also in the audiobook player or MixRadio.
I just updated new FW, and after each call (income and outcome) the music player start play music. I try format phone and card, reinstall new FW, but I have still the same problem.
I hate my clock radio on my night stand. The only thing it gets used for now, is occasionally playing some music before I go to sleep. Does anything exist that would let me play music for some period of time (15, 20, 30 minutes, etc) then automagically shut off? Similar to a sleep mode on my radio. I would love to see this feature in Slacker, but I either can't find it or it hasn't been pushed from feature request to real feature.
Is that work as design?Last week, I give my iPhone to my baby to play around, and she press home button, sifi comes up, she speak baby language to sifi, it is surprise me that sifi bring up some name from my contact list. I think this is security problem since people's can see the contact name and number without unlock the phone, also I tried and it is able to call. Is that any way that I can disable this when phone is locked?
I just got my G4 this week and I love almost everything about it! Anyway, I listen to spotify on my cars Bluetooth, but I learned tonight that if I get a call ( on call for work so I can't just ignore) I can answer, but the music just keeps playing and I can't hear the person on the other end. I must have my music and I don't like the installed music systems (canceled my service recently) .
I just got the Samsung Intensity for Verizon. Everything is great except for one critical thing. I download audibooks from my local library which come as DRM protected WMA files. They play just fine BUT if I exit the music player (to make a call, or just put it away for a while) when I bring it up again, it does not remember its place and goes back to the beginning of the file. This is crippling when you have 72 minute "songs" since you can't be scanning to find your old place every time. With non-protected WMA's even of the same length,it remembers it's place just fine. Also, on my old Samsung Juke it was not a problem. I asked Verizon tech support and they are forwarding my issue to Samsung. I am hoping they will come out with a fix, but they easily could just ignore a complaint from one lone user. Is this a problem that other people have seen? What are the chances that Samsung will actually produce a fix? Is there a workaround to get it to remember its place in a protected WMA?
My iPhone 4S sometimes stops playing music by itself while I am playing music. This occurs while my phone is on standby/locked mode; that is I am not using any apps.
I've been trying to use my BB as music player when on the bike.At the same time, I'm running my GPS and utilize the phone function for incoming calls.Music starts up fine, however, as soon as the playback gets interrupted by any kind of command - GPS turn instructions or incoming phone calls, the playback won't automatically resume. Is there any work around for this?
I managed to lock myself out of my Samsung galaxy s5, and now my phone is now asking for an alternative password (which I don't remember setting).
I tried going onto android/google device manager but the phone seems to have glitched from what I believe is because I put it in ultra power saving mode.
it's possible to disable ultra power saving mode while the phone is still locked.
p.s. I also rooted my phone before I became locked out of it.
It's not allowing me to play music, whenever I select a song to play it gives me an error message saying an error has occurred attempting to play media.
When my phone is connected to my car (2014 toyota RAV4) and i am listening to audio (i.e. pocketcast) and I get a call, the audio does stop for the phone ring but when I pick up, the audio begins to play again during the phone call and the pocketcast app disappears from the notification bar also so I cannot stop it manually. Please note that the podcasts I listen to are not streaming, they are pre-downloaded. Why this is happening? Is this a Lollipop bug?
On my new Moto X (2014), when I'm listening to music via bluetooth (regardless of whether it's a headset or in the car), and I receive a call, the music keeps playing after I've answered the call, so I need to open the notifications tray and kill the music app (regardless of which it is). On my old Motorola phone, when I received a call while music was playing, it was pause the music. Is there any way I can make sure that answering phone calls pauses the music. It's kind of annoying to have my callers listening to whatever music I was listening to while I'm frantically trying to kill off the music app I had open.
I have just purchased a Sony Z5 (2 days old), when trying to listen to music through a headset or via Aux to Aux in the car, the music also comes out of the phone speaker.  I have cleared the data from the SMART CONNECT app and i have done the usual IT solution of turn it off and back on again, but this hasn't worked.
The phone vibrates when audio is playing even through bluetooth. It's moving around my desk while Pandora is playing. How do I turn this vibration off? I already took off the Haptic feedback and all the feedback for that matter.
My S5 will simply stop playing mp3's whether stored on the sd card or internally. I have tried limiting the number of background apps, tried three different player, and installed an app that is supposed to keep music playing. None of these things have worked. It will randomly shut down at any time on any track and sometimes restart minutes latter. Random stops when playing music?
when i'm in a phone call i can't use the mobile phone at all. I mean i get locked in the calling screen and i'm unable to move to desktop, go to drawer menu or just pick some app from recent menu. It didn't happen on other Android phones nor on my old Samsung Galaxy S3.
I have an Xperia Z5 compact. This was playing my music apps find for the first 3 days. Then it started to glitch, by stopping my music playback if I turned the phone 90 degrees one way or another as well as playing back through the phone speakers when the headphone is plugged into the jack. Â Â I've tried trouble shooting mentioned on other parts of this forum. I didn't have the google maps "shake to send feedback" feature on, and this behavior is happening on multiple music apps (Podcast Addict, Google Music, Sony Music, Spotify, etc). Â So this seems to be a problem native to the phone, not a third party application.
My 2014 Honda CRV EX automatically starts the music app on my Samsung Galaxy s5 (Music Player) every time I start the car and every time I make or receive a phone call. Is there a way to disable this function but still have a Bluetooth connection for phone calls?
Whenever I play music through my phone, with or without headphones, there is a sporadic noise that sounds similar to a record skipping, but more distorted. It is not the two tone beep others have posted about, nor is it the usual problem with headphones. The sound occurs in multiple audio apps. The default music player worked fine up until about a week ago (maybe two?), then the noise started. At first, a secondary app worked fine, but today that started making the noise as well. Force quitting the default app worked for a while, stopping the noise when I started the app back up, but now it goes back to the noise almost immediately. What this noise is or how to stop it permanently?
I recently sent in my Z3 to the Sony repair center for some reception issues.  When it came back, My phone is locked with the message on the top left of the screen saying "SIM Is Perso Locked".  I now have to enter a SIM network unlock PIN which I do not have.  I have called Sony and they could not provide a code.  I have received one from my phone carrier (Wind Mobile) but that did not work.Is my phone now locked to Wind Mobile? And how would I receive a proper unlock code?
When my phone is locked I find on the bottom of the lock screen the emergency call symbol which, if tapped, brings up the option to then dial 999. Problem is with my fat fingers is that I keep knocking this and so bringing up the option to deal. Luckily I've always noticed and then cancelled so no mishaps yet.
I know you can do this with smart pairing of Bluetooth devices but I was hoping to be able to do the same for when I'm playing music through my car's auxiliary jack / over the phone's speakers. I've done a fair bit of googling but haven't found a solution. I use llama app on my phone to trigger events and have tried setting a trigger using the music app to trigger the screen lock to disable but it doesn't work. I'm wondering if it's feasible to somehow trigger screen lock to be disabled when a music app is active?
I have a Samsung Rogue I got in Feb. And I am trying to get the music to work on it. I was able to upload music to the phone but everytime I click the My Music button my phone freezes, and I cant even turn if it off by pressing and holding the end button. I have to take out the battery. What it might be or what I can do to stop it?
This recently started happening. I will be walking with my phone in my pocket and it is locked, but suddenly my music will pause for no apparent reason. I look at my phone and nothing has happened except my music is now paused. I didn't even touch my headphones. It happens around 3 times every time I take a 30 minute walk. It is so irritating to have your music abruptly stop. One time it went completely haywire and the voice dialer came up and the volume cranked itself all the way up and the robotic google voice nearly damaged my ear drums. Now sometimes the voice dialer comes up once it pauses, but very rarely. It will normally just pause randomly.
I use to believe it was my pocket pausing the music because the touch screen is very terrible on this phone and would skip my music when I was walking but I've since flipped my phone the other way in my pocket so thats not possible.
I've turned off all the gestures, motions, airview, etc.
