Oct 23, 2011my tour 9630 stopped syncing with Outlook Addresses. Desktop Software indicates Address Book not installed. have reinstalled everything and no luck. Was ok previously.

Sep 2, 2010I have BB Tour that is a corporate cell phone and is set up using Microsoft Exchange to receive my corporate e-mails. We use MS Outlook as our mail program.I was just playing around in Outlook trying to figure out how to attach my business card to the end of e-mails I send and soon realized I was looking at all of my personal cell numbers of friends, family etc. in Outlook on my corporate lap top ! Yikes ! I don't want my mom, ex wife, current GF's etc. contact info on my corporate laptop.Is there a way to get my Tour and/or Outlook to stop syncing my phone contacts to my my computer?

Sep 21, 2010We recently did a number of hardware upgrades on our computer and installed Windows 7 and Office 2010 about 3 weeks ago (full versions not upgrades). I have been unable to sync my BB ever since and after reading through the message boards have discovered I am not alone. I downloaded the latest BB update which I understood would make my BB and Office compatible.I don't know if the problems are related to BB and Office not being compatible or if there is another problem with my computer. This is what I have done and am encountering: downloaded BB update version 6.0.0.43; BB would not recognize Outlook when I tried to organize my Contacts and Address Book. I have tried repairing and subsequently uninstalling then reinstalling this update a few times.
- gave up and downloaded CompanionLink; Received error message "Click-to-run Outlook lacks API capability. You must install Outlook on your PC for sync". I sought help from CompanionLink but continue to have no luck. The "Add-Ins" link in my BB Desktop Software was available when I first downloaded CompanionLink but has now disappeared and I don't know how to get it back. I did try repairing the BB update to see if this would resolve it.- in the BB Desktop Software Applications tab, it states BB 5.0.0 System Software version 5.0.0 and Core Application Version 5.0.0. are required but it does not give me the capability to install it. I thought the version 6.0.0.43 update replaced version 5.0.0. I don't know if this is relevant or if it matters.

Nov 9, 2010For a long time I have just been syncing to outlook on my desktop. Now my job requires that I have wireless sync to the online calendar at work. Only my calendar syncs wirelessly. I can still sync notes, tasks, contacts to outlook.I would like to be able to do at least a one-way sync from device to outlook. I tried temporarily disabling the wireless sync on the calendar, but it didn't work.So, in a nutshell, how can I wirelessly sync to my work calendar, AND desktop sync to outlook at home.

May 3, 2010Ever since I activated BES (so that I could sync email/calendar with my company's MS Exchange server), I have been experiencing a couple of email-related issues that I did not have previously:
1)When composing a new email or trying to add another contact to an existing email, when I type in the name of the person, the email address auto-complete function does not work. It does work when I am sending SMS, MMS, and searching through my Phone Book, but does not work in email for some reason. Even if I manually type in the correct email address, I do not have a option for the email. I can only reply to email or go through the Phone Book and selection the phonebook entry. I have done the phone book quickfix several times without any success.
2)My calendar events are not showing up in my BES email folder both sent or received calendar notices do not show up for some reason. I have re-sent the Service Books from BES a couple of times to no avail.

Whenever I open up the desktop software and try to synchronize my phone or alter the sync options, it says something along the lines that I must be able to access the internet to perform the action. Some of the contacts are just copies and some have a facebook name on it. I have tried deleting and reinstalling facebook but the issue is still there. Mar 15, 2010Okay, I log into my gmail on my computer and it tells me my email is being viewed by another IP address. So I think did someone hack me? But it came to me that it could be my BlackBerry. It shows the other ip address not coming from a browser but from IMAP. I don't know what IMAP is. Is that the push email for blackberry? I went to whatsmyipaddress.com and my blackberry ip address was NOT the ip address it shows in IMAP on my gmail account. But I hear that blackberries use more than one IP address. So can you tell me, is IMAP pushed email? I haven't used the gmail app in a long time. Only my regular blackberry email. I need to know asap because if someone is in my account I'm going to have to change my password.

Jun 9, 2010It worked fine for the first 10months ... Now blammo, nadda!When I type an email (compose new, reply or forward), my email addresses from my contacts now longer auto-magically auto-fill. It doesn't matter what category the contact is from. I've tried alt "rbld" in the contacts. I've restarted about 15times over the last week, even with the almighty battery pull. I've tried re-syncing multiple times. I've removed and re-installed my email accounts. I've spent more time trying to fix it than typing in the dern addresses at this point, it's just so blastedly inconvenient and time consuming with my excessive emailing for work. I'm ready to try a stick dynamite attached to the phone, but thought it was a lil extreme, so I'm asking for help first...

Feb 9, 2010My blackberry is setup with microsoft exchange email. All was working well until I upgraded to the Blackberry Tour.
Here is my problem:
Sometimes, but not everytime, when I try to REPLY to an email I receive an error message which says that the email contains an invalid email address. I have scrolled through all the email addresses contained in the reply and can confirm that they are in fact valid email addresses.
Things I have tried:
Battery pull
Renaming my own contact name
Eliminating custom email "aliases"

Mar 23, 2010I have checked the time zones on both my outlook calendar and BB. They are set correctly. If I set an appointment for 8am in Outlook, it displays as 9am on my BB calendar. Also it should be said that my phone automatically syncs via an enterprise server. I do not hardwire my BB to my computer. My BB has accurately sync'd with my computer for over a year until now. I tried changing the option in outlook that "accounts for DST", and that didn't work either.

Jan 25, 2010I have an issue with my BB Tour.When I woke up this mourning and took my bb off the charger.I notice there were HLhlhlhlhlhlhlhlhhlhl type on my bb so I tried to press the esc button and the end button and it didn't work. So I did a Battery pull and let it load up...and that when i found out that my trackball wasn't working.then all a sudden it started to type the HLlhlhlhlhlhlhhlhlh again.So I did a another battery pull and it did it again.So I wiped the phone decided to install 5.0 on my phone and I get the same thing.The only thing I did before my phone went hay wire was a couple days prior.I downloaded a couple free themes and screen saver from BB App World.I thought by doing the battery pull and wipe I would fix it but didn't. I know I didn't get my phone wet or anything can anybody explain this?
