Jan 21, 2010I am having a huge issues with my e-mail/internet and text messaging capabilities with my tour plus the phone constantly shuts off. I am on my 3rd tour (2nd replacement phone). This issue started about 4-6 weeks ago w/my first tour, it was replaced then the second one started randomly shutting off, then I am now on tour #3 and am having major issues:I'm not able to get a signal to receive phone calls, text messages or e-mails and today while I was at work (same spot for the last 6 months -- haven't moved and never had an internet/signal problem before) when I got out of work I had 18 e-mails, 16 text messages, 2 missed calls and my battery was practically drained and dying (which by the way under mobile connections and mobile network if I put it on 1VEX it can never find a signal or is always searching for a signal whereas if I put it as Global it can find a signal).I got this phone because I'm an avid overseas traveler and I need a phone w/me when I leave however this is causing a lot of frustration and annoyance.I've done everything to all devices:hard pull, complete hard drive wipe, updated service books, turned mobile networks on and off, made sure I had the most up-to-date software available NOTHING works.any suggestions?

Mar 21, 2010What app is the best way to browse the internet on blackberry? Surfing the web is horrible on my Tour. I love everything about my blackberry except surfing the net. I play with my wife's iphone and the internet is night and day. I know that the internet will never be as good as the iphone, but it would be nice to surf websites a little better on the blackberry. Is there a great internet app? Regular blackberry internet app is not that great. Some would say if I want to surf the web then get an iphone, but I am addicted to my blackberry. Love the superfast email, and BBM. Does anyone really use their blackberry for surfing the internet?

Feb 16, 2010Since I upgraded to 5.0, everytime I connect my Tour to A/C power, the screen changes to an analog clock. Isn't there a way to defeat this from happening? Also, when I connect to my computer via USB, I no longer get the message asking it I want to use it as a USB device or not? Is this part of the upgrade?

May 31, 2012i have a bold 9900 and it seems nearly every bbm stops working. i can still use it through WIFI but it says not connected when not connected to WIFI. i can not get on facebook at all even with WIFI. usually when this happens it starts working again but its been down for over 24hrs now.

May 11, 2012I topped up my Blackberry to buy the blackberry internet service around two weeks ago and took it to the shop to get the BBM service working. Earlier BBM stopped working so I turned the phone off and BBM came back however now I can't use the internet or any of the applications I've downloaded. When I go to the Service Status it says Blackberry Internet Service is not connected however I can still use BBM. I'd like to know how to get connected to the Blackberry Internet Service again

Jul 8, 2012My blackberry work fine with the wifi and the blackberry messenger.But unexpected the black berry messenger doesn't work but the wifi still connected.I have in other country and only have the public WIFI to connect and I use the wifi to connect to my contact through bb messenger. I do have the blackberry data plan on my phone since I am on international roming it wont connect.Few days back my BBM and email accounts were working fine however now both the things are not working rest other social networking site like facebook, yahoo messenger and other are working. Jun 1, 2011Having a nightmare with my service provider. They say I'm connected with the Blackberry Internet Service but I can't access anything on my phone. They did turn it on but when I was connected I couldn't use my internet/Browser, which meant it was useless anyway! When I asked them to fix this I ended up being disconnected from the BIS again....but again they say I am connected. My service status confirms I'm not connected to the BIS. I've tried numerous battery pulls and I've had their tech support on speed dial for the last week.which has done no good!

Aug 2, 2012I've been having a problem for some time now with my BB internet service: I can browse the internet and send texts, and make calls, but all things such as BBM, email, and applications, will not work.
The status of the phone says that 'BB internet service is not connected'. I've talked to my mobile provider and tried to sort it out but they have no idea. The first thing they suggested was, of course, turning it on and off again. No avail. They suggested I go into 'Advanced Options' and click on 'Host Routing Table' to get it set up for Service Books, but no message comes through to the Service Book area.
I also tried doing it through my PC on the o2 BIS service, but it again said my phone was not connected to the internet service and nothing could be done. I have also tried to set up my email and the phone said they couldn't connect to the host. I've tried to update the software but no update was found.

Oct 2, 2010I have a Blackberry Bold 9700 and I am on the network Orange UK. I currently pay 5 pound a month for it. Its currently active but i'm not able to surf the browser, use Blackberry Messenger and Facebook etc.
I have GPRS in capital letters but I just seem to not able to receive any data access. I have run the diagnostics on the mobile network settings. Blackberry registration is yes but the connected to blackberry is no.

I am a very heavy email user and at .02 cents a kb, I would need a mortgage to pay for all that email.Will deleting the service books for these accounts stop the email from coming in until I can download all email to my laptop; and then download service books?I am a longtime bb user, but the new BIS interfaces do not have a way to turn specific email accounts on and off like they used to.

Jan 22, 2010Every time I try to use an app that requires the internet, one of two messages constantly pop up, sometimes even both. I have the application permissions set to allow. One message is, "The application slacker_radio has attempted to open a connection to a location inside the firewall and outside the firewall which is not allowed by your IT policy." I can only click 'ok' after that. The other message is, "The application (any one of them) has requested a http connection to (whichever site it uses)" Then is has choices: 'Do not ask for http' and 'Do not ask for http to (whichever site it uses)' The second choice is checked by default. I've tried checking both and either box singely. Again, all the application permissions are set to allow for these apps. I've tried Slacker, Poynt, Scoremobile, Weatherbug, and . I didnt bother trying any other app.

I have no email and no internet connection.All my icons are there but will not connect to send. In the setup wizard it will not connect for email set up so I can not even send service books.

There isnt even a browser icon on the phone. How do I set up the network? Verizon doesnt let you have a bb unless you pay for a data plan, it would be pointless to have it without internet working!
