Wifi media sync has stopped working for some reason. On the BB when I go to the Wifi Sync it says "waiting for connection to desktop by usb". I've synced it a few times, but it continues to say desktop sync did not complete?
View 9 RepliesSince upgrading to Version 5.0.1 neither the media manger nor blackberry media synch now work. the media manager always prompts to install and downloads but then does nothing. The blackberry media sync gets so far after launch the gives an error message. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling a number of times but cannot get the media manager to install so cannot now get any media off my phone or on to it. Any ideas anyone?

I've gone to options, device, storage, and Enabled USB Mass Storage. However, Desktop does not give me the ability to turn on Media Synch or show that the device can accept media.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI used to be able to sync my photos to my PC using Blackberry Desktop. After downloading the updates to the software, I am now unable to sync media (i.e. I get a message saying "Media Options not available") so my photos have been accumulating on my phone. Also, I cannot seem to configure my organizer (i.e. calendar, tasks, contacts) to my Yahoo email - the only option is Outlook, but again, I used to be able to do this and cannot do so anymore.

Recently I upgraded my Desktop Manager to Version 6.0.0.40 and now I can't transfer media files to my Curve 8330.One thing I tried was to update my device OS to 4.5.0.175, this did not work.The DM shows that Media Options are not available,that I have to trun on mass storage mode from the device.Under the options menu on my 8330, I open Media Card and sure enough Media Card Support is On, Mass Storage Support is On, and Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode is On (I've tried when I switch to Prompt, but that did not work either).I've removed the media card, reinserted it, reformatted it, made sure it was recognized by my device (it is), so obviously the problem is with the Desktop Manager. With previous versions, I had no problems with Media Sync, only with the new DM version. The DM will recognize my device when plugged in via USB and I can sync my Organizer with no issues.What else can I try to get my DM - Media Sync to work with my 8330?
camera not working - message says there is not enough available space - delete some pictures- insert media card. Also all photos stored in Camera pictures file have all been lost. Had to reboot phone and an 'Built in media storage not accessible due to detected errors'. Asked to repair said yes and message says that 'Built in Media repair failed'. How I can get the camera back working. There should be loads of storage space as not much stored on phone.

Every time I connect to Media Sync with my Storm, I receive a messages saying my device is not recognised and to make sure the card is inserted correctly etc. here is what I have done and I still receive the same message -
Taken out the media card and reinserted it
Taken out the battery and reinserted it
turned all the settings in (Options Memory) to on
Auto Enable Mass Sttorage Mode when Connected is set to Yes
Tried connecting to all USB ports on the PC ( I have 4)
PC OS is Windows 7
I've checked for all possible updates on BlackBerry Software (Device and Desktop and Media Sync) I have a completely updates Storm in terms of Software.
I have wifi syncing issue. I used to connect with my two computers, one is my home PC (win7 64bit), the other is my office Macbook Pro (Lion). My iphone's itunes library is on my home PC, I have checked "Sync with this iPhone over Wi-Fi" on itunes options. In general, wifi syncing is working if iphone connected to my home PC only with USB.
At office, I used itunes on my macbook pro to listen iphone's music. So, I connected iphone to macbook pro with USB, then loaded my iPhone's music. (not push sync button). At home, I plugged my iphone into charger generally, then turning on itunes that couldn't find my iphone 3GS for wifi syncing. For resolving the issue, I need to sync with USB once, then it would work again, but it's so annoying.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just arrived in Germany for a vacation. When I arrived in my room, I connected my Torch to the wifi and was able to use all my data functions. At this time, I had turned off the mobile network, and was strictly using wifi.
This afternoon I picked up a German SIM card and activated it on my phone.Now I cannot use my bbm or facebook, even if I turn mobile network on, or my original SIM card.
My bbm on my torch will not work over wifi, I tried it on 3G and it does work so I know the bbm is set up properly. I checked with my carrier and bbm does work over wifi so dont tell me it won't and I do have a data plan. I know other people with the torch as well and their bbm does work over just wifi. I was on the phone with bell and blackberry for 3 hours, and they cant get it to work either, I tried deleting and re-adding the app and just about everything else i could find. Does ANYONE have any idea how to get it to work
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have two email addresses registered on my Torch: my business and my private email address. I have set my business email address as default. When syncing with Outlook, it syncs with the default calendar in Outlook and doesn't take over entries I made on the phone.
I tried moving all calendar entries from Default and my private email to the business email address on the Torch but then while syncing it wants to delete all my entries in the Outlook calendar.
My BB Torch 9800 has stopped being able to use BBM, emails and a couple more apps through my wifi conection. I am in an area where ther is no network signal, so this service is very essential for me. The internet browser on the phone works ok, and some apps work ok (whats app,facebook). I have been onto O2 and they say evertyhing looks fine at their end, and nothing has accidentally been switched off. My wifes phone (BB Storm with T-Mobile) is still working with BBM ok.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have had a blackberry torch for a while now which i had bought in the uk, i have been living in spain since september and have been using the wifi in my house here to bbm and use all the apps etc. I recently went back to the uk to visit and came back to spain yesterday and connected to my wifi... however my bbm, email, fb, and all other apps are not working, however i can connect to the browser! I have tried various things to make it work again, for eg, pulling the battery out, taking sim in and out, making sure the data service is on! The wi fi is definitely connected as the signal bar in the right hand corner is white! Does anybody know how to make it work again, it has always worked completely fine!

I connected successfully to my home network as shown by status on top of home screen. Is there another setting I need to select to 'force" use of my home network? I used to have this in my BOLD settings under browser options, but from what I read the connection switch is supposed to happen automatically on the Torch browser.
I try to use the Wifi network when I am outta own, for example in a hotel. When I get access to the wifi network I cannot use BB messenger o any messenger installed on my blackberry Torch.What can I do? Is there any special parameter to get full access to the wifi (no matter where I am) and so, use the messengers and check emails?

However, recently BBM and email have stopped working on my phone. Facebook, the App Store, WhatsApp, etc. all work fine, but BBM and email do not.
I have noticed that I no longer have the Blackberry BB icon in the top right-hand corner of my phone (where it shows wifi connection, etc). How do I get BBM/email working again?
I have 2 data plan one sim from du (UEA) and other from Orange (Dom. Rep.) none of them are working with wifi, I am in Iran, I even tried it through VPN, still no luck.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to add some ringtones to my Torch. They are there and I can see them in the file manager or when I sync to my Mac. But when I go to the ringtones folder, they are not listed. There is an option to select music for a ringtone, so I put the mp3 file in the music folder along with other music files, but none show up.
The same thing happens when I take pictures with the phone. If I look at the pictures folder, it says no pictures. But if I go through file manager to the media card, I can see the pictures.
I have a net gear router in my home and i connect it through the bb 9800, but the service status always shows that the bb internet service is connected through the mobile network, i tried it with another router and it was successfully working and the bb internet service is connected through the wifi whenever the wifi is connected.

I see everyone else already has Android 2.1 update so although it is the XD video I am really keen on getting! I have downloaded the Media Synch for Mac and mounted my phone -the automatic upload on the phone just says connect to a computer as new software update available. The Sony Ericsson site only gets as far as if using Safari click on 'help' in media synch BUT there is no help- the search bar doesn't load? You tube only has the Media Go option, which I previously used. how I can actually get these updates? especially the HD video

But it doesn't recognize my phone and keeps saying 'connect your smartphone' or something like that even though it is connected. I don't think the USB is damaged because it still manages to connect my phone to my laptop and charge it, so how do i get my media sync to recognize it?
