I am trying to sync my Torch 9850 organizer data with my computer via WiFi. I have read the instructions but under the Options I do not have an option for turning on WiFi Sync.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI used to be able to sync my photos to my PC using Blackberry Desktop. After downloading the updates to the software, I am now unable to sync media (i.e. I get a message saying "Media Options not available") so my photos have been accumulating on my phone. Also, I cannot seem to configure my organizer (i.e. calendar, tasks, contacts) to my Yahoo email - the only option is Outlook, but again, I used to be able to do this and cannot do so anymore.
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust got my 9850 and love it, except for one item -- I "synced" pictures from my computer to my device, but I can't get the 9850 to show them. I actually pulled the SD card out of the phone and checked it on my computer -- they're there, but I can't view them when the card is in the device. I can play my music from the card, but no pics. I'm sure it's simple, but nothing I've tried works.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have 2 new 9850s, both on US Cellular network, one is mine and the other one is my wife's. No enterprise, both BIS. They are both running OS 7.0 2048. I am having the same problem on both phones. Battery pulls do not fix the issue. Resending service books and pushing the HRT temporarily fixes it.Whenever we enter a spot that drops the data connection (the symbol in the top right changes from 3Gwith the 4 dot blackberry symbol, to just the 3G only SYMBOL) we stop receiving emails. This also happens if we are in an area that is 1X and changes to 1x. I understand why our emails stop, because the data service is unavailable. That's not my issue.My issue is this...when we do move back into an area that has data service, the data connection is not automatically restored. I have to manually go into each phone and push the host routing tables to reregister the devices to get them to receive data again.US Cellular said that they've done everything and that their end is working fine. We just changed from curves and never had a problem getting emails before. If I did lose the data signal, it would immediately reconnect when the data signal was available again.It seems like the Torch units simply stop looking for a data signal after a time of unavailability, like it looks for data and says "We'll guess i'm in an area with no data service. I'm going to just quit looking", but then never remembers to check again later.The wi-fi is off all the time.
It really sucks to have to register the phone over and over again after each trip into my warehouse, where there is no data service available. And its really strange that it is both phones.Apparently there are for signal modes on this phone...1x, 1X, 3G, and 3Gwith bb symbol. If mine drops from the 3G with bb symbol, emails just stop coming and I can no longer connect to email settings. Whats worse is that I have to push the HRT to get reconnected.Does anyone have any suggestions?i don't want to have to defect to an Android device, but this phone simply hasn't been reliable so far. I can't imagine it's US Cell network because our Curves have always worked fine. And I also can't imagine that i purchase 2 defective Torches. These has to be a setting somewhere that will force the phone to search for a data signal all the time and not just give up.
I bought my new Torch 9850 in late February and started a new job in March. At my job there is seamless wifi across the entire campus. My blackberry would somehow "know" when I arrived at work each day and turn on the wifi and logon to my corporate network. I found this to be the most amazing feature ever! No longer did I have to worry about draining my battery because I forgot to turn off my wifi.Then I updated my OS to 7.1 from 7.0 and now this no longer happens and I don't know how to reactivate it. The good news is I am back on 7.0 due to a device switch. The bad news is I cannot figure out how to make this work again.

I have set up the BB to handle work emails and these work and synch fine between the BB and my outlook on my laptop.But calendar synching is not working at all.... BB help tells me to go to the organizer app (eg calendar) press menu key > options > select the Wireless Synchronization check box.However, this check box just doesnt exist.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI can't sync my iPhone and back up my data with my computer because iTunes says to enter the passcode into my iPhone to unlock it, but I am unable to unlock and enter in my passcode on my iPhone because the screen is shattered. I have my replacement iPhone with me and I'm not going to activate it until I can sync/get the data from my broken iPhone. I have the envelope to send my broken iPhone back to the Verizon store or whatever so that's not a problem. I just can't sync my old iPhone with my computer.

My computer crashed and we lost the hard drive. I did back up to carbonite, but essentially it is like having a whole new computer. I need to sync my phone to my restored / rebuilt mac, but the phone will think I am syncing to a brand new computer. How do I prevent loosing the following;

3) Calenderon my phone
My iTunes library should be OK, and I'm assuming my app's will be too. If not couldn't I just download the purchases again?

My laptop had an unexpected failure and had to be reformatted. My iphone was synced to the itunes that was installed on it.
I have reformatted and reinstalled itunes on the machine now and would like to be able to manage my iphone music on it again. However I am unable to do so. Checking the "manually manage music" option results in being told that to do this I will have to reformat my iphone.
I don't want to reformat my iphone. How can I use my iphone with this computer and itunes, manually managing music, without reformatting it?

However, in an attempt to fix the non-responsive screen I re-booted the device to factory settings (advice from EE) and restored the data from off the PC. However, it now seems to sync with my gmail account in preference to my Hotmail and as a result has duplicated all of my contacts. Where do I go to in the BB menus to change the setting back to Hotmail for the sync of organizer and mail?

I have the new Torch 9850 and the other day it died I had it unplugged all night and in the morning it was needing charged and i pushed one button and it started to come on but died so I then plugged it in and all i got was a red LED light and I could not get it to come on at all even after letting it charge for awhile and now I have nothing at all not even the LED light

View 2 Replies View RelatedI want to add my son on my AT&T plan and put a chip in th 9810 torch that I no longer use. This phone was an outright purchase with no contract. When he is home or around any wifi hotspots, let him surf and stream Pandora to his hearts content. When not in range of wifi I want to prohibit all data access other than the unlimited text and phone. Is this possible? I've seen posts about setting the browser options to use wifi but the talk has been when wifi is no longer available it switches to the BB data. This is what I'm trying to prevent.
