I can't sync my iPhone and back up my data with my computer because iTunes says to enter the passcode into my iPhone to unlock it, but I am unable to unlock and enter in my passcode on my iPhone because the screen is shattered. I have my replacement iPhone with me and I'm not going to activate it until I can sync/get the data from my broken iPhone. I have the envelope to send my broken iPhone back to the Verizon store or whatever so that's not a problem. I just can't sync my old iPhone with my computer.
My computer crashed and we lost the hard drive. I did back up to carbonite, but essentially it is like having a whole new computer. I need to sync my phone to my restored / rebuilt mac, but the phone will think I am syncing to a brand new computer. How do I prevent loosing the following;
1) Photo's taken on my phone.
2) Contact's on my phone
3) Calenderon my phone
My iTunes library should be OK, and I'm assuming my app's will be too. If not couldn't I just download the purchases again?
I have backed up one of my frnds iphone on my computer and now I connected my iphone and I want to sync that data to my iphone.I could find the backup data in %appdata%, but they are in file format, I need to know how I can sync tat to my iphone.
My laptop had an unexpected failure and had to be reformatted. My iphone was synced to the itunes that was installed on it.
I have reformatted and reinstalled itunes on the machine now and would like to be able to manage my iphone music on it again. However I am unable to do so. Checking the "manually manage music" option results in being told that to do this I will have to reformat my iphone.
I don't want to reformat my iphone. How can I use my iphone with this computer and itunes, manually managing music, without reformatting it?
I am trying to sync my Torch 9850 organizer data with my computer via WiFi. I have read the instructions but under the Options I do not have an option for turning on WiFi Sync.
My original computer died, and I don't have a phyical back up of my data. If I try to sync the device to a new computer will I lose everything currently on my phone? If so, is there a way around this?
I wanted to update my software to the latest version so before i did that i made sure i synced/backed up my phone. Then i restored my phone from back up only to find that my contacts have all dissapeared. Why?
All my apps, calender, notes, photos etc have appeared except for my contacts.
I am trying to back up by iphone to my new computer but it gives me this message " Itunes could not back up the iphone because the back up could not be saved on the computer." What can I do?
I know just connect the data cable to computer and transfer data but when i connect data cable to computer it does not show any thing on the computer and not even on the phone.so how should i make my phone able to transfer data to pc.
I am a BES user and recently my account had to be recreated. I had taken a back up of the device from desktop manager. However after restore I find that all the BBM contacts, Bookmarks and Auto-text was not restored.I had spent a lot of time in making all the Auto text relevant to me. Doesn't the back-up process back up all these data?
I would like to know if there is anyway of backing up all information like text messages on my phone without connecting to the computer in case I accidentially delete them
My computer's hard drive and backup drive both malfunctioned at the same time, and I've lost a lot of the mp3 files that still live on my iPhone4. I want to download the mp3 files on my iPhone back onto the new drives so I don't have to re-do 1500 songs. I can't find anything that shows how to do this, and it's very frustrating that something so simple isn't a basic feature. (The Sync function wipes out all the data on the iPhone, but doesn't allow for the reverse...very stupid design, in my opinion.) And in Windows XP--no jokes please--the iPhone files on the windows explorer only shows photos, no music...again, not a very smart design. So how do I export my music files back to my computer and back up drive?
I ahve just updated my iphone 4 to the latest IOS and dont know how to transfer my music, apps and photos from my computer back to phone - have been to itunes but cant find where I do this?
I have looked around online a bunch, even went to the apple store for answers on this, and still nothing.I had a MBP, its dead, i got a new one, its awesome. but now i want to sync my iphone with this new computer, I plug the phone in, it all works and everything, but if i click "sync" on any of the check boxes in say, music. apps. rungtones. etc it says it will delete the data on my phone and replace it with the data on that itunes.
Is there a way for me to jsut transfer all my **** off the iphone so it syncs with that? this is getting really annoying. The guy in the genius bar told me to backup my phone, then restore it using itunes and that iTunes would then allow me ot sync everyhting without first deleting all the information, tried that, and it didnt work, itunes just said the same message about deleteing all my applications and data and blah blah blah.no i dont have the library from the old computer to use as a reference to copy files from.
So I just bought a new laptop and I want to be able to have all of my iPhone data on the laptop (music, apps, contacts, photos, etc). How do I transfer all of this? I've tried Google but theres about 30 different ways and none of them are quite specific.Btw my new laptop is a PC, not a Mac. And I want to transfer all of my data from a PC.
