BB Torch :: Chat Not Working With Wifi?
May 10, 2011I have 2 data plan one sim from du (UEA) and other from Orange (Dom. Rep.) none of them are working with wifi, I am in Iran, I even tried it through VPN, still no luck.

Nokia Lumia :: 800 - FB Chat Message Feature Not Working On 3G / WiFi
Nov 20, 2012For the last 2 months now my FB chat message feature hasn't worked in 3G/wi-fi.I have phoned my phone provider (Orange) and they say there is no fault at their end data wise. I have checked the settings through my Windows Live account that my Facebook account is sync'd/allowed to send messages via chat to my phone.I have checked my FB chat settings to see No settings have been changed disallowing FB chat through my phone. In fact this explains perfectly my problem, as one day FB chat worked perfectly, the next few days it worked intermittently, and then from then on it has stopped working completely. I cannot see any contacts, and my phone says"Cannot Connect to see who's online".

Apr 27, 2011I just arrived in Germany for a vacation. When I arrived in my room, I connected my Torch to the wifi and was able to use all my data functions. At this time, I had turned off the mobile network, and was strictly using wifi.
This afternoon I picked up a German SIM card and activated it on my phone.Now I cannot use my bbm or facebook, even if I turn mobile network on, or my original SIM card.
BB Torch :: Not Working Over Wifi?
May 23, 2011My bbm on my torch will not work over wifi, I tried it on 3G and it does work so I know the bbm is set up properly. I checked with my carrier and bbm does work over wifi so dont tell me it won't and I do have a data plan. I know other people with the torch as well and their bbm does work over just wifi. I was on the phone with bell and blackberry for 3 hours, and they cant get it to work either, I tried deleting and re-adding the app and just about everything else i could find. Does ANYONE have any idea how to get it to work

Jun 5, 2012My BB Torch 9800 has stopped being able to use BBM, emails and a couple more apps through my wifi conection. I am in an area where ther is no network signal, so this service is very essential for me. The internet browser on the phone works ok, and some apps work ok (whats app,facebook). I have been onto O2 and they say evertyhing looks fine at their end, and nothing has accidentally been switched off. My wifes phone (BB Storm with T-Mobile) is still working with BBM ok.

Jun 8, 2011I have had a blackberry torch for a while now which i had bought in the uk, i have been living in spain since september and have been using the wifi in my house here to bbm and use all the apps etc. I recently went back to the uk to visit and came back to spain yesterday and connected to my wifi... however my bbm, email, fb, and all other apps are not working, however i can connect to the browser! I have tried various things to make it work again, for eg, pulling the battery out, taking sim in and out, making sure the data service is on! The wi fi is definitely connected as the signal bar in the right hand corner is white! Does anybody know how to make it work again, it has always worked completely fine!

Aug 28, 2010I was running a few tests to see check speed of my browser on my home network over ATT. When I disable the Mobile Network and enable wifi to my home network, I get an error in my browser "You are not currently in an area that can handle data communication".
I connected successfully to my home network as shown by status on top of home screen. Is there another setting I need to select to 'force" use of my home network? I used to have this in my BOLD settings under browser options, but from what I read the connection switch is supposed to happen automatically on the Torch browser.

When I get access to the wifi network I cannot use BB messenger o any messenger installed on my blackberry Torch.What can I do? Is there any special parameter to get full access to the wifi (no matter where I am) and so, use the messengers and check emails?

Oct 27, 2012I am from Toronto (I'm on Virgin) and I am currently in Switzerland on vacation. I have been using BBM and email over wifi without any problems over the last few days. However, recently BBM and email have stopped working on my phone. Facebook, the App Store, WhatsApp, etc. all work fine, but BBM and email do not.
I have noticed that I no longer have the Blackberry BB icon in the top right-hand corner of my phone (where it shows wifi connection, etc). How do I get BBM/email working again?

Mar 19, 2010I have Chat (or Nokia Messenger for IM) version 2.0.10 installed on my E72. I used to be able to use it for Gtalk and MSN chatting. But now I can not log in anymore. I even tried the ovi chat and i got the same problem. It says "Authorization failed" with a NOKIA banner on top. I wonder if it is the problem of NOKIA server or just my phone?

Jul 14, 2012I have a blackberry 9360 but the chat of facebook doesn't connect with my account. If i connect with my sister account for example, it does work. sometimes it talks about 501 error, but i've tried to reboot the bb, erase the cache and even reinstall the app several times and it keeps not working. Sometimes it says that i'm already connected but then there is no one connected. i've checked on the facebook.com site from the pc but there appear a lot of people online so i don't understand what happens to my chat on bb.
