I can not connect with FB chat on my BB torch 9800, but its only my account, where as on my laptop its all normal it starts connecting then stop sometimes i get trying 1 of 2 then stops again. im sure its not my BB because I tried from another BB and it was the same .

However when I click the Message icon from the home window (ie when there's an asterisk on the corner in indicating a new message) it does not position the screen at the bottom of the text chat, but halfway up. View 3 Replies View Relatedi havent received notifications for facebook to my phone in ages? i was also having problems with my blackberry facebook not able to go online to chat or upload photos so i unistalled facebook to reinstal hopeing it will refresh and work normally, but now when i go into app world to reinstal it, it doesnt even have that option. Soo i go online and download app world again and it replaces my old app world but makes no difference at all, i can only go on facebook through my browser now and cant upload photos from my fone which is annoying..is anyone else having this problem? what do i do? ive had this problem for a good few weeks now ages before the bbm and that went down today.

If I reply the missing message will then show up in the chat above my reply. A battery pull solves this problem but it only seems to be a temporary fix as it has happened again.

I have recently changed network (vodafone to o2) and since then my BIS won't connect over wi-fi, and always uses the mobile network. I can use wi-fi to browse etc, but not for any blackberry services.No changes have been made to my device except the new sim.When I run a wifi diagnostic, there is a red cross next to Blackberry Infrastructure.o2 are adamant that BIS does not work over wifi, but it worked for me previously on Vodafone, and it works for someone else I know that is also on o2.

When I go to the Manage Connections and click on the Wi-Fi Box and it changes from a box to my network name (George) and it is a green colour. I then click on set up Wi-Fi Network and it shows My network name (George) with a checkmark infront of it. I then go to Troubleshoot and click on Wi-Fi Diagnostics, and it shows what's posted below. I get an error saying that there is insufficent network coverage and yet when my girlfriend tries on her Pantech Impact, sitting right next to me, she has no problem. I'm able to make and receive calls and I have 3 bars showing in the signal strength indicator.
I just asked this question over on the AT&T Blackberry Forum but I haven't got a response yet so I thought I would ask it here too.
Since then, I called AT&T for help and they told me that it is probably because when I received my phone I should've left the new SIM card in it and activated it, rather than just popping in my old SIM card, is this true? In the past, I think I've just inserted my old SIM Card and everything worked as it should without performing a new activation.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an issue with my Torch 9800, It works fine with 3G but when I'm in poor 3G coverage area it doesnt want to work with 2G network or reboot itself. In the best case it connects with the 2G network for a couple of minutes and then drops the signal. I've tryed everything possible including software upgrade/downgrade (now I'm running the last 6.0.0.666 version), rebooting, switching to 2G only from Mobile network options but for some reason it doesn't want to work with 2G network which is very annoying when traveling somewhere cause the last time I was traveling to Manchester my mates' Bold phone was working with GPRS coverage and mine wasnt (same carrier).
