BB Torch :: BIS Won't Connect Over Wi-fi
Aug 7, 2012I have recently changed network (vodafone to o2) and since then my BIS won't connect over wi-fi, and always uses the mobile network. I can use wi-fi to browse etc, but not for any blackberry services.No changes have been made to my device except the new sim.When I run a wifi diagnostic, there is a red cross next to Blackberry Infrastructure.o2 are adamant that BIS does not work over wifi, but it worked for me previously on Vodafone, and it works for someone else I know that is also on o2.

Sep 14, 2012I am from Malaysia, My BB Torch 9800 cannot connect to BIS even i have checked with the Telco which is Maxis, they have tried numerous way to connect the BIS, exhausted with all options but failed I have tried the trouble shooting in this forum but failed too Host Routing Table, service book, pull batt, reset, update software but all failed The phone is like just for calling and sms... thats it usage on a Blackberry phone I am tired..as i bought it since March 12 from a shop which the shop has closed (most probably out of business)

Jun 2, 2011I have a BlackBerry Torch 6.0 Bundle 2647. When I go to the Manage Connections and click on the Wi-Fi Box and it changes from a box to my network name (George) and it is a green colour. I then click on set up Wi-Fi Network and it shows My network name (George) with a checkmark infront of it. I then go to Troubleshoot and click on Wi-Fi Diagnostics, and it shows what's posted below. Please note under BlackBerry Infrastructure, Connecting, it shows Error. Why is this happening, why can I not connect?

Sep 16, 2011"Just got my Blackberry Torch 9810 and I can't connect to AT&T's Network! I get an error saying that there is insufficent network coverage and yet when my girlfriend tries on her Pantech Impact, sitting right next to me, she has no problem. I'm able to make and receive calls and I have 3 bars showing in the signal strength indicator.
I just asked this question over on the AT&T Blackberry Forum but I haven't got a response yet so I thought I would ask it here too.
Since then, I called AT&T for help and they told me that it is probably because when I received my phone I should've left the new SIM card in it and activated it, rather than just popping in my old SIM card, is this true? In the past, I think I've just inserted my old SIM Card and everything worked as it should without performing a new activation.

BB :: My Torch Doesn't Connect To 2G
Oct 3, 2011I have an issue with my Torch 9800, It works fine with 3G but when I'm in poor 3G coverage area it doesnt want to work with 2G network or reboot itself. In the best case it connects with the 2G network for a couple of minutes and then drops the signal. I've tryed everything possible including software upgrade/downgrade (now I'm running the last 6.0.0.666 version), rebooting, switching to 2G only from Mobile network options but for some reason it doesn't want to work with 2G network which is very annoying when traveling somewhere cause the last time I was traveling to Manchester my mates' Bold phone was working with GPRS coverage and mine wasnt (same carrier).

They said, i need to ensure that the setting of browser is 'internet browser'. In the common blackberry (i was using Bold 9000), the setting can be found in this path:Option--Advance Option--Browser--Default Browser Configuration==Internet Browser..However, when i check the same path in my Torch 9800, I cannot find such 'advance option' under the setting menu (in homescreen).

On the Torch, everytime I open an app, Facebook, Twitter, Scoremobile... the 'connected BBM' asks me if I want to connect. It doesn't matter if I say Yes or No, it keeps asking everytime.
