I am changing the "Display Style" to single messages instead of group by subject. I save it, go to email folder and everything is still grouped by subject. I removed the battery to reset and it didn't work.
View 1 RepliesI updated the software on my style 9670 yesterday about 11:30am, and since then my email does not function. I have rebooted, but this did not solve the problem. I deleted the email from the phone and attempted to setup the email up again, but it was not accepted. What is my next step?

View 1 Replies View RelatedAs far as i am aware, Torch works brilliantly! However, I've noticed that the text of emails from certain of my friends is missing. So the header is fine, but most of the body of the text does not display - curiouslywords show up!
I've compared the emails with the original on my PC, and I can't see any reasno why the text should be missing entirely, or the odd word show up!
I went into the setup app and tried to access the Email Accounts application. When I click on it nothing happens. It doesn't open or anything.By using my carriers BIS site I have been able to add my personal email accounts to my device but I need to access the Email Accounts settings in order to complete the sync for Gmail calendar and address book.

I bought a Blackberry Torch 9800 from a reseller and tried to setup email but the only option available is Enterprise. THe carrier, O2, can't help. How do I get all the email setup options back?The Torch was to replace a Bold stolen the day before. It was PIN protected but not backed up, nor did it have recovery or tracking software. Is there a way to trace it if it used again?

My e-mail setup goes direct to Enterprise Account activation - no option to select internet mail account or Enterprise e-mail. I have tried factory reset - just incase I had messed up during the initial setup of the new phone. software is V6.0.0.600 platform6.6.0.233). My 3 UK account is internet enabled (all works on my old Samsung Galaxy S phone).

View 1 Replies View RelatedOn my 9000, and I thought on my Torch as well - until today - there was a subpage in mail options called message services which permitted you to select which email account settings to modify (for example BES or BIS). Then once I selected my BES account there was an option to "send email to handheld" or not. Something I turned off every evening and back on in the morning (don't want work emails bugging me all night).BUT, now I can't find where that option is on my Torch. Very strange. I've searched everywhere, I think. Any help would be great. At minimum, will someone who has multiple email accounts (BES) check their Torch to see if the setting I refer to is there? View 4 Replies View RelatedI just bought a new Torch and am unable to set up personal email (internet). I have read the postings and have doen the follwoing but to no avail:
1. Re-installed the DM
2. Reset handset
3. Updated and downgraded the softwareon the handset
4. Changed SIM Cards
5. Security wipe of email and contacts.
Unit works fine but I cannot set up my email. I do not have an enterprise server at my work so I do not need to activate it but this is the only option I ever get when trying to set up emails.
I just installed the newest OS for my Torch 9800 (6.0 Bundle 2647). I lost all of my passwords and email accounts. Just go to Setup, select Email Accounts and add all of my accounts back. When I go to Setup there are 2 envelope icons that say "Email Accounts" where there used to be only 1. When I click on either of them it takes me to the "Select the type of email account type:"
Here we have 2 options: Internet Mail Account or Enterprise Account. When I click on Internet Mail Account it takes me right back to Setup, so I select "Email Accounts" again, and then Internet Mail Account and again my phone goes right back to Setup. It just goes around and around in circles and never gives me the option of actually adding an email account. From setup to select type and right back to setup. I have taken the battery out to no avail.
I would like to set up email on my Torch 9800 but when I select email accounts in setup menu the next screen is enterprise activation and does not offer the regular internet email setup.

Whenever I select "Options" from the BB Menu button's drop down list on my Torch 9800, the screen flashes, then goes back to my home screen. It has been this way for quite a while (nearly a year) and I am thinking that there is a permission that was inadverdently disabled. It does not work whether i use the native BB6 theme or others i have downloaded. how to make "Options" option start working again?

So in order for me to call someone who isn't in my contacts i need to add them to my contacts which i don't exactly want to keep adding every number to my phone book, it's annoying.

With my old BB Pearl, there was a specific menu option to send an MMS (vs SMS), and there were folders for In/Out Box for MMS messages in the "View Folder" option under messages. The Style advertises that it can send MMS, and I have In/Out Box messages for MMS in my Folder View (in the Messages application), but there is absolutely no menu option that I can find anywhere to send an MMS message. It's not under "Messages" and it's not under "Text Messages". It also appears that I cannot receive a MMS. I'm not talking about just sending a picture or video via text. With the Pearl, MMS allowed you to send a text greater than 160 characters. I am on a BB Enterprise server at work, and my IT guy doesn't think its security settings that are interfering. Sprint says I'm on the correct data (BES) plan.
View 5 Replies View Relatedmy wife's brand new 9810 to access a pop/imap account on a server where SSL/TLS is mandatory.
Background -- I'm the server admin. I can access e-mail on the same server/domain from my 9700 Bold running OS 6 - I can do SSL/TLS connections to e-mail just fine.
When I look at the server-side logs when the 9810 is attempting to connect, I see that the SSL/TLS session is not getting established - hence the username/password is never being sent to the server.
The 9810 is running OS 7.1.x - is this version of the OS buggy?
I just got a new Blackberry Torch 9860, before I had a Bold 9800. I had two different e-mail addresses set up on the Bold, but for some reason I can only set up one of them on the new Torch. The e-mal address that is connected with my blackberry ID can not be set up anymore.

I went through deleted them all and readded them and it was telling me there was a problem connecting to the server. I have plugged my phone in and made sure everything is up to date, pulled the battery and resent the regestured with my wireless network.

Contact your wireless service provider." I never had this problem before I updated the software, I used to receive my emails to my BB.

Now that I went back to my old sim card I got a message in my email accounts telling me that I have to validate the passwords, so I went to Email Settings but I got a message saying: "The application has encountered an error and cannot continue".
