I've installed the latest version of blackberry app world but after reboot, when I select the app-world from the running application, it does nothing and returns to the home screen. Even when I try to invoke it from the apllications menu nothing happens.

I called AT&T and was on the phone for like 2 hours and they were clueless. Has anyone had this same problem or know how to get it working without creating a new email.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI'm having an issue with the menu/BlackBerry button (whatever it's called) The button seems to be stuck. So when I push it the menu will come up but it will automatically do what is highlighted, which is often close or open the tray if on the home screen. If I lock the phone it will darken but then lighten up as if I have pressed the button, but I haven't. It will say screen locked but will continously darken and lighten back up.
I was having this issue a little while ago and even took my phone apart to clean as I thought that was the issue but it did not help. Then I needed to charge it, which I normally do by plug in, but this time I used usb to computer. There seemed to be a substantial update for my phone which once completed fixed the issue with the button. Which was a huge relief as I was thinking I would have to pay somebody to fix and I don't want to do that. It is very pricey.
Well today it started back up. I connected it to the computer but it said there were no updates and did not fix the button problem. And yes I have tried battery pull.
After upgrading Appworld to the latest version, .32 appworld is not starting. when ever i start it is not open but tab menu icon is appear but not functioning.
just to share i'm using BB 9700 and BES.
I jus change my old sim 32K card with new sim 64K Airtel (same number) but My BBM and Appworld stop working.

I'm signed in with my BB ID, once I select the app to download and agree to the T&C flash screen nothing happens. Even if I go to the payments options screen the same thing happens. I agree to the T&Cs and nothing happens.

When I hit next after selecting english, I see: Error: Invalid manifest or application descriptor. The "MIDlet-Name" attribute is missing. I previously had appworld installed on the device. 1. The app itself cannot be download for OS6. It states "Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support Blackberry App World."When will this be available?
2. Downloading apps via the web page results in an email that gets sent that redirects me to the page to get the email sent to me again... so, I can't download the app this way, either.
I had a notification telling me there was a new version of Blackberry App World available. So as usual I updated it and then continued with the reboot that was needed after. I didn't look but later that day I wanted to download something and was shocked to find blackberry appeared was not there. It still shows as being downloaded on my phones management but it is not on the menu. I have deleted it and reinstalled it off the website but it still doesn't come back.

Said yes, download seemed to work but no icon or means of accessing it - either before or after the latest download. When the phone was new I may have deleted the icon I suppose ... After updating it all it did was open, nothing else, then it just closed. So I deleted it, thinking I'd reinstall it, but it doesn't show up in appworld when I do a search. So I go to appworld online and send have it send me a link, but no reinstall button. So i delete appworld to see if that will fix it. now when I try to reinstall it I get the message..."sorry your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support blackberry app world" Ok.....so I reinstall the os just for the heck of it. Still same thing. Why is it so difficult to add apps to this phone? I never had this kind of grief with my 9000.

The phone wil enter bedside mode and i get a message stating that the phone will not charge. I am able to charge the phone without the dock using the exact same cable. I haven't received any e-mails from any of my accounts on my new phone, so I went into settings- e-mail accounts to update my settings. When asked to login with my BB ID, it does not recognize my ID (I get the message "The user name is invalid. A user name must be at least 4 characters). I have confirmed that my username IS valid as it works on my PC and for appworld and I have verified that it is being entered.

BB services are not working, tried absolutely everything (pulling battery, wiping, new OS, got help from network provider as well) and it seems my BlackBerry is broken. Do they do that at all? I don't really want to spend money on a new phone right now, especially when my BB is working - calls, texts, even internet, just nothing that requires connection to BB (BB icon doesn't appear) or wireless (I'm not too sure but I think that bluetooth and wifi are not working either).
