I have got a BlackBerry Torch 9800 since 2 days.I have created an BB Id account but I can't login on my phone. The system keeps telling the following: "an error has occured, please try again later". I have reinstalled BB Appworld twice. There's no problem if I access BB Appworld with my PC.
I unclicked the mobile network and had my wifi connected while i was trying to access the app world, but it " you do not have sufficient wireless coverage or your connection to the wireless network is turned off.."
I bought an unlocked BOLD 9700 QWERTZ keyboard layout, German edition, unlocked, OS 5.0 because I thought that it was a smarter choice than purchasing an iPhone. The following issues occured and I would be very delighted if you could resolve them all:
* WiFi: What settings do I have to change so that my blackberry does transmit all data via WiFi and not GPRS or 3G? I do not have a data plan and don't want one . * eMail: The set-up assistant only allows me to connect to a Blackberry server. I want to connect to my private IMAP server. How can I do that?
* GPS: No app was found on the phone. No Blackberry Maps, nothing. Where can I get the Blackberry Maps?
* AppWorld: I am unable to access the Appworld. When trying to open the page from my Blackberry it says that my device is not supported. How can I access the appworld anyway and download programms for my Blackberry Bold 9700?
I've installed the latest version of blackberry app world but after reboot, when I select the app-world from the running application, it does nothing and returns to the home screen. Even when I try to invoke it from the apllications menu nothing happens.
Since I got my Torch, I have had problems with Appworld:
1. The app itself cannot be download for OS6. It states "Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support Blackberry App World."When will this be available?
2. Downloading apps via the web page results in an email that gets sent that redirects me to the page to get the email sent to me again... so, I can't download the app this way, either.
I had a notification telling me there was a new version of Blackberry App World available. So as usual I updated it and then continued with the reboot that was needed after. I didn't look but later that day I wanted to download something and was shocked to find blackberry appeared was not there. It still shows as being downloaded on my phones management but it is not on the menu. I have deleted it and reinstalled it off the website but it still doesn't come back.
When I asked to download it it said it was already there did I want newest version. Said yes, download seemed to work but no icon or means of accessing it - either before or after the latest download. When the phone was new I may have deleted the icon I suppose ... I've tried Show all. I want to use it now so need to find out where to access it from pdq.
I've been going around and around with this issue for the last couple days. When I opened citysearch it said there was an update. After updating it all it did was open, nothing else, then it just closed. So I deleted it, thinking I'd reinstall it, but it doesn't show up in appworld when I do a search. So I go to appworld online and send have it send me a link, but no reinstall button. So i delete appworld to see if that will fix it. now when I try to reinstall it I get the message..."sorry your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support blackberry app world" Ok.....so I reinstall the os just for the heck of it. Still same thing. Why is it so difficult to add apps to this phone? I never had this kind of grief with my 9000.
I can not access my company URL from BB while i can access it from any other device. The below message received, The requiered URL could not be retrieved Sorry, we couldn't find the web page that you requested. Make sure that you typed the web address correctly, and try again. Error Code: 10006
The files on both my media card, and device are unable to display. When I access my phone through my PC, the files do show, but from my phone I get a message like this: Unable to display file/Device/Blackberry.exe. The icon next to the file name has a question mark in it. This happened after I connected my device to a friends PC to copy a large file.
Need to know how can I access SIM apps. Some provider have sim appliaction, whereby I can check credit balance or top-up. If I want to develop an application to interface to this SIM apps, what should I do?
I have recently updated my Blackberry to a Torch 9860. Since doing so I have lost my e-mails. I am still receiving them to my Virgin media account on my laptop but can't access them on my Blackberry, My network provider is Vodafone UK and I have spent literally hours (over several days) on the phone with them trying to rectify this. They have disconnected and reconnected me goodness knows how many times and as far as they can see there is no fault. The only e-mails I receive are from the Activation Server when they do this. Nothing else has come through. They have finally concluded that the fault must be on the Blackberry Server
Its been 3 days since my internet conection stopped working. ive tried everything, restarting phone taking out battery. I cant get a registor code either. What should i do ? I really need my phone back. I can get text messages but no internet no bbm nothing
I recently bought my torch and im excited to use my bbm, heres the problem. the first time i tried to text globe to activate my BBMAX I immidiately got a reply and ask me to wait for my signal to get EDGE. but then i waited for hours my sinal is turned to 3G and i cant access my bbmessenger yahoo messnger and twitter, meaning my bb is not yet activated.
So my blackberry has access to my company website and I want to share this with my tablet. I know the Torch has the ability to do this with a PlayBook, however can it be done with an Android tablet? I just won the new Samsung and would love to have access from it rather than my laptop.
i had need to remove my battery and sim, to reaccess the phone its asking for my username and password. i KNOW beyond any doubt that what i am entering is correct. it says that they are not valid. when clicking the "forgotten password" link, it says to ensure that blackberry id has been activated and that i have entered the correct email. I HAVE ENTERED THE CORRECT EMAIL.
Using the blackberry desktop software, I just updated to:6.0 Bundle 3049 v6.0.0.706 and Platform 6.6.0.246 Once completed, I can not get my email on my account to work. I try to go into Setup but it's saying that it can't open the email setup application and to contact my wireless provider. At the moment I can only use the Wi-Fi connection and don't have access to a mobile signal.I can access the internet, twitter, and facebook, but can not get or send messages through my email account setup on the phone.
I have a Blackberry Torch 9800, with 3 email accounts running. I triend loading a 4th. this is what i do:Setup--->Email Accounts--->Internet Mail Account--->After I click Internet Mail Account, nothing happens. I also tried going to one of the other mailboxes and clicking "Options" from there, still nothing happens.
my wife's brand new 9810 to access a pop/imap account on a server where SSL/TLS is mandatory.
Background -- I'm the server admin. I can access e-mail on the same server/domain from my 9700 Bold running OS 6 - I can do SSL/TLS connections to e-mail just fine.
When I look at the server-side logs when the 9810 is attempting to connect, I see that the SSL/TLS session is not getting established - hence the username/password is never being sent to the server.
The 9810 is running OS 7.1.x - is this version of the OS buggy?
I've just updated to 6.0 Bundle 2342 and when I try to access to config / email accounts / Internet Mail Account... It just loads for a second and then returns to the config menu.
