I've just updated to 6.0 Bundle 2342 and when I try to access to config / email accounts / Internet Mail Account... It just loads for a second and then returns to the config menu.
View 3 RepliesI have recently updated my Blackberry to a Torch 9860. Since doing so I have lost my e-mails. I am still receiving them to my Virgin media account on my laptop but can't access them on my Blackberry, My network provider is Vodafone UK and I have spent literally hours (over several days) on the phone with them trying to rectify this. They have disconnected and reconnected me goodness knows how many times and as far as they can see there is no fault. The only e-mails I receive are from the Activation Server when they do this. Nothing else has come through. They have finally concluded that the fault must be on the Blackberry Server

I try to go into Setup but it's saying that it can't open the email setup application and to contact my wireless provider. At the moment I can only use the Wi-Fi connection and don't have access to a mobile signal.I can access the internet, twitter, and facebook, but can not get or send messages through my email account setup on the phone.

I triend loading a 4th. this is what i do:Setup--->Email Accounts--->Internet Mail Account--->After I click Internet Mail Account, nothing happens. I also tried going to one of the other mailboxes and clicking "Options" from there, still nothing happens.
View 9 Replies View Relatedmy wife's brand new 9810 to access a pop/imap account on a server where SSL/TLS is mandatory.
Background -- I'm the server admin. I can access e-mail on the same server/domain from my 9700 Bold running OS 6 - I can do SSL/TLS connections to e-mail just fine.
When I look at the server-side logs when the 9810 is attempting to connect, I see that the SSL/TLS session is not getting established - hence the username/password is never being sent to the server.
The 9810 is running OS 7.1.x - is this version of the OS buggy?
I have created an email address with an @blackberry.com ending, and I cannot access it on my phone, and now there are password issues and my password was emailed to my blackberry email account which of course I cannot access for some reason

So I went to the setup and clicked the Email Accounts option and nothing happened. I tried pressing again and it won't open up the settings for the email accounts setup.

I also can't access my personal email on the phone. Both my bb email acct and personal are there but only the bb email works. View 9 Replies View RelatedI changed my gmail password today on my laptop.Blackberry then sent me an email telling me to go to my email settings under "setup" to set up my new password. However, whenever I try to access the "internet email account" option from the email accounts setup page, I automatically get transferred back to the setup page. When I tried to access "internet email account" a few times in a row, my blackberry froze and I had to restart it.Consequently, I cannot access my email at all since I cant even type in my new password.

I recently upgraded the firmware to version 6.0.0.2534 and since then I am no longer able to access my email account settings or add a new email account. I downgraded to the previous version, but still the problem, upgraded again but no luck. Every time I try to access my e mail settings it tells me to contact my provider, and sometimes the phone just freezes. I've tried all the various battery pulls but nothing. After spending hours on the phone with my provider, they tell me that the problem is not theirs but Blackberry!

My device prev iously remembered the User Name and Password (e.g., when I had to synchronize my e-mail whenever the password for the e-mail account changed) but now that the device has been replaced, it is now asking for this information which I have misplaced. Is there an easy way to re-set this password?
I do not remember the User name either (it says the password can be sent to the device if the correct User name is provided). Unfortunately right now I cannot access any e-mail on the device.

It rebooted fine but am stuck in the configurator wizard. ITunes throws an error saying "There is no SIM installed in the phone you are trying to activate."
It is a factory unlocked phone. And I see no reason why it should need a specific sim to unlock.

I've tried creating a new Apple ID to download the app, swapping the Apple ID associated with Apple Configurator, different phones (I have 25 to deploy) and all with the same problem.

When I'm at home or at work and have direct access to email, I'd like to turn off my bb email client. How can I do that?
In one post I saw the recommendation Messages > Options > Email Reconciliation > Wireless Reconcile -> set of Off. Is this enough? (I have my BB set up for wi-fi connection when I'm home, in case that makes a difference.)
