I have had my blackberry for 18 months and not experienced major problems with the phone until now. I have battery power indicated on my phone but for some unknown reason when I take pictures, browse facebook or can be mid conversation on my phone when it crashes. I plug it in and my phone still shows about half a battery remaining so I don't understand why my phone crashes.

I have tried to re-format both in my phone but it keeps failing and now I have lost my phone ringing normally. I had no problems regarding losing my phone ringing before.

Even turning off the device cannot make it reset running ok, i have to remove the battery and reinstall to make it run again. sometimes it heats up?There's no BB authorized dealer in my location. sometimes when it locks up, and i have made a call, i cannot stop the call. I'm so disappointed that i spent so much money on a smartphone and i cannot even make calls. The other problem is the battery which only stand a day.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to re-install Blackberry desktop software but its driving me crazy, it keeps crashing and keeps asking me to install "Microsoft.Net Framework 3.1 SP1". For some reason it does not recognise that I have already installed this ( btw I use windows vista with MS Office 2007). I have also fully deleted from programs and reinstalled the BB desktop but same result each time. It takes hours when I try to install 3.1 SP1 and says "estimated time reaming= 0 sec and below this appears a line "2432 kb of 2890kb downloaded at 608.0kb/sec and stays on this message for hours without doing anything.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI love my BB Torch, but I'm about to take it back just because I can't get desktop manager 6 working. everytime I start it on my windows 7 computer, it crashes. I've installed it, reinstalled it, and rebooted my computer so many times in the last 2 days that I'm shocked the power button is still working ont he computer. at least desktop manager 5 worked with my blackberry bold. I tried to email RIM and ask them about the issue, but after sifting through all the crap on their web page, I finally gave up.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI swapped iphone with my cousin, for a blackberry torch, the phone not that old, 6 months max, but the last week the phone started freezing and crushing, so i looked on fourms, and ended up doing a fresh install off the Os and formated the memory card and did not save the old settings.
But the phone kept on doing the same thing, so i wiped the Os, installed the most uptodate Os i could find, and it still keeps on crashing and sometimes it will do this as the phone loads, as it finishes loading up, or after couple hours.
So its safe to say, it cant be a app, or Os playing up.
Also the main thing i have noticed if the phone stays nice and cool, the phone will work fine, but once the phone warms up a little bit, thats when it starts to crash/freeze/reboot, but sometimes the phone will not turn on after putting the battery back, you have to leave the phone for 5 mins or so.
Could it be a type off thermal cut off to protect the phone? or battery? But the only thing i cant understand is, the phone or battery dont get hot, just warm.
I am running version7.1.0.163 on Verizon. my problem is during phone calls, the phone will drop the call, and i cannot make any more calls to anyone without pulling the battery and rebooting. Gave an error code , but unfortunately i did not write down.

The phone wil enter bedside mode and i get a message stating that the phone will not charge. I am able to charge the phone without the dock using the exact same cable. The retailer isnt willing to assist in this matter as they say it is something I need to take up with the manufacture.whats wrong or how to make the phone charge?

It crashed twice while booting up, and on the third try the boot-up progress bar stopped 2/3 of the way across the screen and never moved. Then I got a message saying "Error 102, Reload Software." I downloaded Desktop Manager (version 2.3) for my Macbook, but the program wouldn't recognize my BB when it was hooked up with the USB. I tried pulling out the battery, changing USB ports, reinstalling Desktop Manager.
