i just had a blackberry off my cousin but the internet aint working?? its on o2 and ive connected it to wi-fi but nothing is happening?? and the blackberry messenger aint working?
View 1 RepliesI got my torch 9800 on launch day. i loved this device and definately felt like i was upgrading from my old device (iphone 3g). as much as i love the capabilities of the device i have run into a few issues, specifically network issues. it all started on sunday when all of a sudden i lost connection to the blackberry servers(the little logo in the corner was gone..) i went to at&t on monday and they could not figure it out. apparently my service book for the blackberry internet service got deleted(i didnt even know what a servicebook was lol) so i went home later that night and downnloaded the at&t software and reinstalled the os and this worked. then all of a sudden today, my fb was acting up, so i deleted the app. then i lost the connection again... do you guys have any idea what could be causing this? im currently reinstalling the os as i write this.

I've used Desktop Manager in order to download phonebook and other settings, but I'm not able to access internet anymore. I'm not getting good support from the provider, consider that the switch between old and new device could not be done having both of them available at the same time, since by their policy I've taken the broken one to the customer center and they provided me the new one, without changing the configuration between the two.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been facing this problem this the last couple of months.. whenever I travel and get into the roaming network, my phone doesnt connect to the Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) because of which i cannot use BBM or any other internet based application. As soon as i am in local network, it gets connected to BIS. I have tried everything..data service while roaming is on.. have switched off phone, removed sim and restarted. Last evening I visited Vodafone store, the guy put my sim in another blackberry device and it got connected to BIS. However its doesnt get connected on my device. He suggested me to do a data wipe which I did, still am unable to connect to BIS.

I just received a replacement Torch (9800) yesterday and I switched everything over from my old phone using the BB desktop software swich phone function. I haven't received any e-mails from any of my accounts on my new phone, so I went into settings- e-mail accounts to update my settings. When asked to login with my BB ID, it does not recognize my ID (I get the message "The user name is invalid. A user name must be at least 4 characters). I have confirmed that my username IS valid as it works on my PC and for appworld and I have verified that it is being entered.

BB services are not working, tried absolutely everything (pulling battery, wiping, new OS, got help from network provider as well) and it seems my BlackBerry is broken. Do they do that at all?
