BlackBerry :: 8700c Does Not Transmit Voice?
Jun 6, 2012My smartphone 8700c will not transmit voice after the call is connected but I can hear the other party. I had problems with keyboard entering extra characters so I have corrected that by resetting the battery. However I can send and receive text messages.

Feb 17, 2011About the upcoming devices all featuring touchscreens, how about adding touchscreen enable/disable option ?For example, my company operates gas stations so I work with liquid hydrocarbons (gas, biodiesel, motor oil) and most of the time during the day I use the trackpad for phone calls and work apps like DocsToGo or BBM instead of a touchscreen because of its functionality and well, it won't become a mess if my hands are a little dirty, just like the touchscreen would. But during the night, hanging out with my friends or family, when sharing videos and photos, I'd love it if my BB 9700 running OS6 had a touchscreen (that's why I'd buy a Bold with a touchscreen), so I could have better media playing and internet browsing experience.Also, I've heard smartphone processors render faster when they are not handling touchscreens, so disabling it could give a merely functional experience while working (which is what most working people love about BlackBerry devices) and would save some battery life as well. Still, you could get the full social and media experience(which is what RIM is aiming at too with the upcoming devices) anytime by enabling it again.

Oct 31, 2012I have a Lumia 900 in the US. It was only sold by ATT in the US. I however am not with ATT, I'm with Straight Talk, an MVNO. When I try to enable Internet Sharing on the phone it pops up a message saying I need to contact ATT. I have no business relationship with ATT and they cannot help me. I would like to remove this message so I can get Internet Sharing working on my phone. The phone is unlocked, but that didn't seem to make the message go away.

May 30, 2014I saw there's a post describing how to enable internet sharing for 1020 but one of the requirement is a foreign SIM card which I don't have.
My 1020 is a Hong Kong version got from eBay and it didn't come with a SIM. I called T-Mobile but they said since it's not from their store, it may not work, they tried to do something on their end but couldn't make it work.

Aug 18, 2010I got my torch 9800 on launch day. i loved this device and definately felt like i was upgrading from my old device (iphone 3g). as much as i love the capabilities of the device i have run into a few issues, specifically network issues. it all started on sunday when all of a sudden i lost connection to the blackberry servers(the little logo in the corner was gone..) i went to at&t on monday and they could not figure it out. apparently my service book for the blackberry internet service got deleted(i didnt even know what a servicebook was lol) so i went home later that night and downnloaded the at&t software and reinstalled the os and this worked. then all of a sudden today, my fb was acting up, so i deleted the app. then i lost the connection again... do you guys have any idea what could be causing this? im currently reinstalling the os as i write this.

I've used Desktop Manager in order to download phonebook and other settings, but I'm not able to access internet anymore. Oct 31, 2011I have been facing this problem this the last couple of months.. whenever I travel and get into the roaming network, my phone doesnt connect to the Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) because of which i cannot use BBM or any other internet based application. As soon as i am in local network, it gets connected to BIS. I have tried everything..data service while roaming is on.. have switched off phone, removed sim and restarted. Last evening I visited Vodafone store, the guy put my sim in another blackberry device and it got connected to BIS. However its doesnt get connected on my device. He suggested me to do a data wipe which I did, still am unable to connect to BIS.
