View 1 RepliesI have 2 vpn's set up at home, one is pptp (on my ddwrt router) and one is ipsec (on my netscreen 5gt)
as far as i know, the blackberry os6 doesn't support pptp vpn's but does support ipsec vpn's.
according to documentation i've read, the only way to connect to an ipsec vpn is if you have BES which i don't have at home.
I baught the phones used from ebay. One of the phones is working fine. The other phone is not connecting to the 3G network. It is not even showing the 3G network when I manually search networks. I want it to connect to the 3G network because WIND only uses 3G.
Both are running the same( latest )OS version. I have switched sim cards(to no avail) and I have tried to restore it to factory settings using the wipe feature in the security settings(nothing)Both phones are next to each other. One is showing 3G the other is showing 2G (same carrier).
Ever since this morning my Blackberry 9300 hasn't received any mail. I have two accounts set up on it, a Gmail account and my work webmail account. If I try to go into the email settings, I get message: 'connecting to email settings' and an hour glass and eventually 'your device has a problem connecting to the server'.
I have tried on both the WIFI at work and the Virgin Media mobile network.
My BB torch is not connecting to the Blackberry infrastructure, which mean im not receiving any emails, or BB messages. i have only have the phone for a week now and this should not be happening. is there anything i can do to alter this or does it need to be taken back?

I got my torch 9800 on launch day. i loved this device and definately felt like i was upgrading from my old device (iphone 3g). as much as i love the capabilities of the device i have run into a few issues, specifically network issues. it all started on sunday when all of a sudden i lost connection to the blackberry servers(the little logo in the corner was gone..) i went to at&t on monday and they could not figure it out. apparently my service book for the blackberry internet service got deleted(i didnt even know what a servicebook was lol) so i went home later that night and downnloaded the at&t software and reinstalled the os and this worked. then all of a sudden today, my fb was acting up, so i deleted the app. then i lost the connection again... do you guys have any idea what could be causing this? im currently reinstalling the os as i write this.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought my x6 today, and thought it was a great little phone. I haven't had any of the usb problems that people have, but it just insists on connecting to the internet. I set the phone to receive my emails on a whim and mostly for the novelty, and about 5 minutes after closing it, I noticed it was still connected. I tried exiting it through all the various different menu screens, but it wouldn't go away.
Eventually, I deleted the mailbox, but it was still connected. I then took to holding the hang up button to make it disconnect, which I thought was a success, only to find out it's connected its self again a minute later. I'm on t-mobile, and it's connecting to the packet data "T-mobile internet" access point, or at least the little 3G icon is always up. I've just tried setting it to "always ask", and it does it any way.
how do I connect to the internet without connecting to my wi-fi, when i'm out and about, I have tried everything possible, my phone used to be on contract but now has a pay as you go sim, i'm not sure if this has something to do with it..

View 9 Replies View RelatedMy phone will connect to my WLAN at home for no apparent reason (as in I'm not using the any application which requires interweb) and when I get annoyed and disconnect from that because it is just EATING my battery it think "Jesus there's no internet connection" panics then connects via gprs or whatever. Now I turned off the email program because it is eating my battery constantly being connected and am having to charge it every night! But is there any way of making it so that it only connects when the program is open? Any thoughts?

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy C7 keeps connecting to the internet several times a day, before it closes the connection it plays a notification sound the same as when new email has been received and closes the connection, no other notifications are visible. I have several email accounts set up on the phone but automatic synchronization is turned off on all of them. I checked everything I could think of like other applications running in the background but could find nothing.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI was using Windows XP Pro 32bit until recently and never had any problems connecting tot he internet with my N8. Recently I installed Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. I can still connect to the internet without any problems, but the problem I have is that the internet is "slow", although I have a 3.5G connection.
I have watched the "status" of my connection and I can see that what happens is that some data will come through, and then nothing will happen for a while, and then some data will go through again. So it's a kind of intermittent connection. This is super annoying, and it's hard to google this problem.
I also have a Nokia N82 and that doesn't give me the same problem, but i don't want to swap my simcard each time I want to use the internet.

View 15 Replies View RelatedAfter updating it to v40 in November, every single day the phone connects to the internet via 3G/GPRS. At first i didn't noticed it was doing that, just after a month i discoved it. It connects 2 or 3 times every 12hours.I managed to stop it by changing the access point options to ask user name and password, and every time it tries to connect i cancel it.The apps i have are the same i had before the firmware update and the phone didn't behave like it's behaving now.

It connects 2 or 3 times a day without even asking me!I managed to stop it by changing the access point options to ask user name and password, and every time it tries to connect i cancel it. But doing that everyday since November it's getting on my nerves. The apps i have now are the same i had before the firmware update and the phone didn't behave like that. What the hell is going on?Also, when i turn on the phone there's an annoying "Nokia account" pop-up asking for my password and a "sign in automatic" option. The only thing i've done was updating the firmware to v40. Nothing more.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've recently upgraded my phone to the Blackberry 9700 (my first BB so I'm completely clueless) and received it yesterday.I also changed my plan to allow internet access.
I registered my phone and was told to turn it off for 2 hours so they can update the sim and everything, which I did. I then turned it on and I can make calls, send texts and all of that, but when I try to access the internet it says 'This is a Wi-Fi service. Please ensure your device has an active Wi-Fi connection and try again'? I'm taking a guess here, but I think this may be because they haven't updated my plan yet?
Also, I went on the browser whilst connected to Wi-Fi, tried to download the app world and it said something along the lines of 'Sorry your device does not meet the system requirements require'. What's going on?
I upgraded to the OS4 software and now my phone wont connect to the internet (3g or wifi. I called att and still nothing. what could this be? everything was working normal before the upgrade
I've had the Bold BB 9900 for a year now and everything has worked great. It has now not been connecting to the internet for the past day and I don't know what has happened.
It is showing GPRS so it should be connecting.
I've clicked 'register now' for the host routing and it got back saying bb has been registered with wireless network. I've tried taking the battery out which hasn't worked either.
