I am having trouble setting my email, each time I enter my user name and password it pops up a box telling me the user name is invalid and it should contain at least 4 characters. My user name has more than 4 characters and my password is definately correct. Since I started messing about with it I have lost all incoming texts. I don't know what to try next.

I just got my new phone from AT&T due to Alltel takeover and i am not able to receive emails. i had the same phone before but an earlier model. when i set up the email, it keeps defaulting to imap and i can't change it to pop. i had no problem on my old curve. how do i change it to just a normal pop account?
I have changed the carrier from Vodafone to AIrcel. while i had vodafone connection i was able to access my personal mails (gmail and yahoo) however am unable to set up email now when am in Aircel conneciton. i have activated enterprise account.
I have just got a new BB curve 9320,7.1 bundle 1319 (v7.1.0.398, platform 9.49.0.31I am on a monthly 3 contract. I wish to set up my private and business email accounts. When I go into Setup, Email Accounts I am on a screen that says "no accounts activated" and it has a setup screen for activating an Enterprise Account.I contacted 3 and they told me I need a contract add on for internet & email which I duly purchased, I spent an hour last night on the phone with the 3 tech team trying to set up the email account. He took me through the process of registering the host routing table and now I have a new symbol on the screen (4 dots)but it still didn't change my email setup options. He kept saying I should have 2 choices on my screen to either set up my own email account or activate an enterprise account - which I don't.
Eventually my 3 tech guy contacted Blackberry who said that he would need to pay for support which he declined so now I have a new Blackberry Curve 9320 which I can't & 3 tech support can't get to setup my email accounts.
Ive just purchased a Blackberry Curve 8520. Im going into set up wizard but its not giving me an option to set up a personal email account - just to use a works email account.
I had initially been able to access my Yahoo email from my BB, but as of last week, I am no longer able to. I deleted email account from phone, then re added. Now, it's just stuck in this sychronization mode.
I have a Curve 8520 and have been trying to download new apps. When I enter my password I get the message 'unable to validate email address and password'. If I select 'forgot password' I get the message 'Blackberry is having trouble connecting to ... server. Verify your network connections and try again - error 30637'. Have checked my email settings and these seem ok and I am receiving email on the Blackberry on the same email account.
partner has just had to exchange her handset because it wasn't working correctly. She is using the same sim.She had already added her email address on the old handset and adding it on the new handset is proving to be a problem. When she tries to 'add email' it comes up saying 'existing users' and asking for the user name and password. When we type in the full email and password it says 'Blank user name. Type a valid user name'We have tried just typing the first part of the email without the '@whatever.com' bit on the end and it says 'connecting to email settings' and then 'the information you provided is incorrect. retype your user name and password. Your user name and password are case sensitive.

My email doesn't download unless I turn the BB off, turn it back on, and then allow it to download. Or it will download to a certain point, and then stop. Hours pass and nothing new arrives (and I confirm that there are new emails to download).
i have just got my curve 9300 and tried to set up my email but it only gives me the option which says i want to use a work email account with a blackberry enterprise centre...how do i set up with a normal email account
I have a Nextel Blackberry 8350i that is set up on the Boost network and Im trying to set up a blackberry email account so that I can forward my work emails to my blackberry. When I try to set it up using the Nextel or Sprint link on the blackberry website, it tells me that: Your BlackBerry® Internet Service Account is suspended or deactivated. Please contact your wireless service provider at 1-800-639-6111. When I call that number, they tell me they cant help me because im on the boost network. When I call boost they tell me they cant help me because I have a NEXTEL blackberry...Can someone please help me get this email thing set up?
I have stopped receiving emails from my ymail account on my BB Curve and am unable to access 'email accounts' in Set up. When I click on the icon I get a message saying 'your device had a problem connecting to the server'.
Received a meesage from Blackberry saying my gmail could no longer be delivered. I was instructed to enter setup and re-enter my password.
But clicking on mail within setup brings no setup options ...unlike the other like Blackberry Messenger or instant messaging. Once I have clicked on mail settings I find that I cannot exit setup at all (no problem if I select anything other than mail) and must turn off the deivice to restore capability.
This has probably occurred after an OS upgrade ? ..running 6.0 bundle 2534.. though until the Blackberry message I hadn't noticed a problem.
Is there a fix or is there the abilty to backout the upgrade ?
My Blackberry 8520 is now showing email messages of 1 month only. I have checked the email setting which is configured to "keep messages" as Forever. Earlier on the same device i was able to see all the email which i have got thorughout year. Phone has 97814897 Bytes memory Free.
I have been unable to receive email on my phone now for days. I initially did a batttery pull and this was unsuccessful. I have done everything possible, that I know of, to fix it on my own. I ended up doing a security wipe and now I cannot send emails either. When I try to send an email i get this message "no message services configured. You will be directed to the setup wizard to setup your email account". However, my email is already set up and I have deleted and readded it, with no luck. I have gone to my service provider- Bell- and they were unable to help me and said that I woudl have to contact Blackberry directly. I have no landline so I would have to go somewhere else in order to call so I can look at my phone at the same time.
I while back after installing an update on my phone from the BB site. I am not sure what the update was it was a few months ago. I lost my email accounts. When trying to add them back by going into SETUP and then clicking on EMAIL ACCOUNTS nothing happens, no errors. It just sits there. I've wiped the device earlier today and still nothing happens when I click on the Email Accounts icon.
Ive just got my new BB Curve 3g but cant setup an email account. It just keeps asking for me to setup an enterprise account?? But i just want to use my existing hotmail account. Also I registered for the Blackerry bolt on, but dont know if its working yet because im unable to use the BBM or facebook app, but I can use the browser to access the web when im on WIFI.
I receive an e-mail every once & a while saying that I must verify my e-mail password in order to continue sending/receiving messages on my phone. This would be fine if I was able to do so through my phone, but I am not. When I go to the set-up page to enter my password and try to click on the e-mail accounts button, nothing opens (it never has). Is there a way to fix this so it will open? Or a way to verify my password for now until I can get it fixed? It's really annoying not being able to do so myself.
When I first got it, about nine months ago, I set up my two email accounts and they worked perfectly. Then, some weeks ago I stopped receiving emails and I couldn't send either. I ended up removing both email accounts and then I set up one of them, tried it and it worked. Then I went and tried to set up the second one but I haven't been able to do so since.I go to Setup > Email Settings > Add > Gmail (the account I want to set up is on Gmail). I write the correct email address and password and click on Next, it says it's "Processing, prease wait..." and then every time it says "Update Failed".
I've tried also choosing Other instead of Gmail when trying to add the second account but at the end it gives me the same error, "Update Failed". have the BlackBerry Desktop Software 2.4.0 and I've looked there for an option to try and set up my second email account through the software but there just seems not to be such an option.'ve never had any other problem when it comes to the email or the internet connection in general.'ve been looking for a solution in the forum but I haven't found anything.
I damaged my old phone. It was replaced today.Everything was going well other than the email.I go to set up, select e mail accounts. I get the message saying a new device has been detected. The app show my seven accounts. I select Move Email Accounts and for each one I am asked to enter the password which I do. Each time the app says the password is validate. After entering all seven everything seems toi be OK. No error message. However it just hasn't worked. The e mail is not showing. When I return to setup I am once again asked to go through the same process and get the initial message saying I have a new device. This presently makes the whole phone a waste of time.I have tried entering the e mails as new ones, but this is rejected as they are already on the machine. What can I do about this?

I have a 9300 and it won't let me register my fsmail.net (orange) email account. Don't really want to open another account as I have had this for years!
I got a BlackBerry Curve 8520 for Christmas and it won't allow me to set up personal emails, I only have the BlackBerry Enterprise option. I have gone to advanced options and gone to HRT and have sent away for registration as suggested on another page, but I have received no confirmation the message was sent, and I am still unable to access email. Also I cannot down load BlackBerry APS or Facebook. I am an 02 ready to go customer..
