I just got my new phone from AT&T due to Alltel takeover and i am not able to receive emails. i had the same phone before but an earlier model. when i set up the email, it keeps defaulting to imap and i can't change it to pop. i had no problem on my old curve. how do i change it to just a normal pop account?

Unable to receive incoming email to 1 email account on BB Curve 9330. tried several times Sprint support on phone and at store. Able to send emails from that email but it shows only on desktop. Other email accounts are running just fine.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been unable to receive email on my phone now for days. I initially did a batttery pull and this was unsuccessful. I have done everything possible, that I know of, to fix it on my own. I ended up doing a security wipe and now I cannot send emails either. When I try to send an email i get this message "no message services configured. You will be directed to the setup wizard to setup your email account". However, my email is already set up and I have deleted and readded it, with no luck. I have gone to my service provider- Bell- and they were unable to help me and said that I woudl have to contact Blackberry directly. I have no landline so I would have to go somewhere else in order to call so I can look at my phone at the same time.

In some emails with images that have hyperlink, I just see a link and images not displayed. All the images comes as an attachment in the email. My friend having another BB Torch is able to view emails as HTML. But he is with BES.
Is there any solution for my issue? I am not receiving any options in the email preference to enable HTML format for emails.

1. I got some serious problem here, I am using my home connection through wifi and my N900 is able to receive email from gmail but unable to send out. I checked the configuration through gmail website and it is correct for sure!
2. I tried to share photo using the share via facebook plugin or pixelpipe plugin, I get transfer error! I've no idea why. But I could use my wifi to validate facebook and pixelpipe account without any problem.
What I suspect is the outgoing connection issue. In fact I am using my laptop on the same wifi connection without any issue at all. What can I do on my N900 to fix this problem?I can use 3G to send out email and upload pictures to facebook but I can't do it via wifi!

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have an iPhone 4S with 8 Gig memory, 1.1 Gig currently free.  I recently converted to ios 8.1.2. Subsequently, the phone has stopped working on my wireless network, neither receiving or sending email, nor connecting to the internet. The router diagram shows that I am connected via WiFi, but when I try either of these functions, I simply get into a continuous loop.Â
I have already attempted this with and without connection to the iCloud drive, rebooting everything (router, modem, iMac, iPhone). I have one other iPhone (same specs) and an iPad mini, that both work on the network. The iPhone giving me the problems works fine on the Verizon network and on other WiFi networks.Â

When i receive an email or picture message i am unable to open it, it will try and download it but it will either say download failed or reach 100% and then do nothing. My carrier is koodo mobile but since picture messaging works on other phones i don't believe that is the issue.

I have the Blackberry curve 8520 and version 4.6. Is installed.Whenever I have installed themes I wasn't able to read SMS anymore. Actually the red light gets on (which shows all notifications) and a SMS symbol can be seen on the display, but when I look for the SMS it doesn't appear.The only way I can read new SMS are that I write a SMS on my own to be able to read the SMS I just got before! Besides I have to click twice on it until it really opens the SMS.I've even uninstalled these Themes, but nothing changed.
