IPhone :: Unable To Send And Receive Email While Connected To A WiFi
May 6, 2012
I have an Iphone 4S and have added my home internet email account to the phone. I am able to send and receive emails while connected to my ATT netowrk but I am unavle to send and recieve emails while connected to a WiFi. How can I get my Iphone to send and receive emails while connected to a WiFi?
I am unable to send a email when connected to any WiFi. Have to discounnect from wi fi and then the message will send. On Bell in Canada and have set up correct SMTP settings as per bell.
I am unable to access my yahoo e-mail on my iPhone 4S. I had no problem until 2 days ago. I have already tried cancelling the Yahoo account and then adding it again. I also have turned the phone completely off and then restarted it. My Yahoo mail is ok on other computers.
I cant send or recieve email on my iPhone / iPad when on WIFI - when I turn off WIFI, it all works fine on 3G. I tried to delete my exchange-account, and then both gmail accounts works fine on wifi. Any thoughts? or rather; I think maybe it sends/recieves, but it takes a very long time.
i am currently on at&t and having send recieve problems on my defy xt 535 iv taken it to my local at&t store had myAPN data added still am unable to send or recieve pictures even on wifi
I have been unable to receive email on my phone now for days. I initially did a batttery pull and this was unsuccessful. I have done everything possible, that I know of, to fix it on my own. I ended up doing a security wipe and now I cannot send emails either. When I try to send an email i get this message "no message services configured. You will be directed to the setup wizard to setup your email account". However, my email is already set up and I have deleted and readded it, with no luck. I have gone to my service provider- Bell- and they were unable to help me and said that I woudl have to contact Blackberry directly. I have no landline so I would have to go somewhere else in order to call so I can look at my phone at the same time.
1. I got some serious problem here, I am using my home connection through wifi and my N900 is able to receive email from gmail but unable to send out. I checked the configuration through gmail website and it is correct for sure!
2. I tried to share photo using the share via facebook plugin or pixelpipe plugin, I get transfer error! I've no idea why. But I could use my wifi to validate facebook and pixelpipe account without any problem.
What I suspect is the outgoing connection issue. In fact I am using my laptop on the same wifi connection without any issue at all. What can I do on my N900 to fix this problem?I can use 3G to send out email and upload pictures to facebook but I can't do it via wifi!
I have an I phone 4 running on 5.0.1 and when I try to send mms while connected to wifi (still have 3G) it will tell me it's delivered but to whom I am sending it to won't recieve it I used to be able to but recently it stopped. But when my wifi is off and the recipients wifi is off it sends just fine. But only if we both have it turned off. Shouldn't it still be able to send if we are both connected to wifi? It would just use the network any ways correct? But it's not recognizing it and it's causing me a lot of issues.
I have just upgraded from a galaxy S4 to S5 and I'm having big problems with receiving calls and SMS when I am connected to my home WIFI connection.
Only when I turn off wifi on my phone I start receiving the backlog of SMS messages.
Some times I can receive calls when connected to wifi but the SMS messages don't come through until I disconnect.
My wife has also just upgraded from a s4 to s5 but hers appears to be ok.
I have noticed that in more networks/mobile networks/network mode, my wife's gives options of 3G, 4g etc but mine says LTE/WCDMA/gsm which I though was strange as we are both on virgin mobile. I don't think this is the issue though as it's a wifi issue.
I am having email problems. I have several email accounts. I receive email on all of them, but can't send on all of them. Not even a reply. The email accounts that work are gmail and [URL]The accounts that don't send are: 1 account hosted by GoDaddy, and a few accounts on my 2 domains [URL] and [URL] all of these accounts work fine on my laptop via outlook 2007. The place that houses my 2 domains said they don't know why I am having this problem.
When out of range of wireless service but on a wi-fi network with internet access, should it be possible to still send/receive text messages? It seems to work fine with iMessage recipients but not others.
I am having extreme difficulty in setting up one of my email accounts on my iPhone 5c. The email in question is a centurylink email account ending in @q.com. When I use the mail settings lookup, this is what it tells me to do: Incoming Mail Server:
Account Type: POP Username: xxxxxxxx@q.com Server hostname: mail.q.com Server port: 110 Authentication: Password Outgoing Mail Server: Username: xxxxxxxx@q.com Server hostname: smtp.q.com Server port: 587 Authentication: Password SSL: yes
When I “pull down” on the screen to get mail, the latest mail that has come is from 5/20/14. Today is 6/21/14. When I repeat the process, it says at the bottom of the screen “Updated Just Now”, but no new emails come in. Yet, on my email on my computer, there are over 100 since 5/20/14. I can send, and it downloads the sent messages to my phone just fine. I just cannot receive messages later than 5/20/14 for some reason. How to receive email?
my iphone 4 (verizon) is connected to my home wifi but it's not working! when i go on Internet is says that it cannot connect, same with any other app that requires internet. it has the wifi symbol and everything. what's weird is that when i turn off my wifi (then 3g symbol replaces the wifi symbol) i am able to connect perfectly! i've tried all i can think of to fix this. restoring, rebooting, turning off and on again, forgetting my network then connecting to it again but nothing works!
I own an iPhone 3GS, and have recently upgraded it to iOS 6.1.6. I was able to connect to Wi-Fi using a Netgear Cable Modem with WiFi capability. But the internet service provider upgraded this equipment, replacing it with an ARRIS Touchstone Data Gateway DG1670 cable modem with Wi-Fi capability. Unfortunately, I have discovered that I'm unable to access the Internet while connected to Wi-Fi, while using my iPhone 3GS, running iOS 6.1.6. I am completely able to connect my MacMini, a smart-TV, and an iPhone 5 to this ARRIS device with Wi-Fi.
I have contacted my internet service provider and they tell me that the problem is with my iPhone 3GS, not with their equipment. We very meticulously went through all the troubleshooting steps, but to no avail. I have also read all the Apple Knowledge Base articles here about configuring an iPhone 3GS properly, and I have also followed Apple Knowledge Base articles concerning optimal configuration of an internet modem with Wi-Fi capability.
I like my iPhone 3GS, it works well, but now I cannot sync it to iCloud, and now I must have Wi-Fi turned off to make it usable. I also understand that iOS 6.1.6 will be the last upgrade for the iPhone 3GS. If this is true, then I'm sadly disappointed with Apple's inability to keep up with technology.
It seems as when I'm connected to a WiFi I have no data service. I recently uninstalled the apps I did not think I needed and were running in the background. I did not uninstall any android app but I'm wondering if there was something I missed.
